File color
I wish I could change the color of the file on the main screen to something other than blue. It would be cool to change the color I chose myself. It's time to distinguish between all files....

Pull to add NEW page rather than duplicate last page
Pull to Add Page is a great feature. However, in my case it seems to always duplicate the last page in the document. But that doesn't seem to make sense. For example, why - if I have marked up an image in GoodNotes, - would I want to duplicate it? Then I just have another page that is the same as the one before it.
So I find myself constantly pulling to add page, and then having to delete the newly created (duplicate) page, and then I have to go up to the dropdown menu and choose the template. It would be nice if there were an option to decide whether the Pull to Add Page function duplicates the page or creates a new blank page - this should be a universal setting decided by the user.

Subject: Request for Feature Integration into GoodNotes App | Danny Aluc
Dear GoodNotes Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to you today to suggest a new feature that I believe would greatly benefit your users. Specifically, I would like to propose the integration of a sorting function in the app that would allow users to easily sort and find their notes by day, week, or month.
As someone who uses GoodNotes frequently for note-taking and organization, I often find myself sifting through my notes to find specific information from a certain day or week. I believe that by adding a sorting feature or allowing users to create tags for their notes, it would make it much easier and more efficient to organize and locate notes based on a specific time frame.
I understand that there may be challenges in implementing this feature, but I truly believe it would enhance the user experience and set GoodNotes apart from other note-taking apps on the market. Whether it could be integrated as a plug-in or extension to the current app, I think this feature would be a valuable addition.
Thank you for considering my suggestion. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on this idea. PS: For the report booklet function, we would also be very enthusiastic! Training record function with reminders and help bots.
Best regards,

ADHD help: Infinite Pages, Pen options, Text to Flashcards
The option for infinite pages like Onenote would be amazing! I find being able to scribble out ideas for mind mapping really helps me with my ADHD.
The ability to print it out later would be great as well, perhaps in the form of light outlines in the background on the template so we can visualise where all of the writting is going, or an auto suggestion?I love how CollaNote allows you to have multiple pen/highlighter options on the side of the page instead of the top bar. That would be reallly really helpful as well as I colour code my notes.
Lastly, the ability to quickly convert handwritten notes, text, or PDFS into flashcards would be really cool. Maybe being able to select a section, press a button and it converts into the format? Something more streamlined than lasso, copy, paste, resize.
I also find that I often accidenty change sizes/move text boxes around.
Being able to “lock” in a text box (or even the pen tool) so it’s set in the background would be so useful as well.Idk if that option already exists and I haven’t figured it out yet. Being able to dupliate those permenant structures to other pages (like a template) as well would be fantasticI find these things could really make a difference in my adhd uni life brain

Add built-in split screen mode like Notability
The default iOS Split-screen mode is not enough. I’m an English major from China , and have heavy using needs on GoodNotes for long English articles .it would be super convenient if I can split my screen up and down like I’m notability, it would help me easily match the Chinese translation with original English text and take notes .
The reason why I require this is because in terms of marking and highlighting sentences with pen and shapes , Notability is inferior to GoodNotes . If this function can be added , it’ll completely change me into a full-time GoodNotes user, and I also get to keep all my notes within one app , as it’s easier to do look-ups and note taking among all my books and notes .

History or placement related Undo for shared documents
Very specific problem, but on a shared document, lets say I write something, and the person I am sharing with wrote something in the same area without me knowing and it hadn’t uploaded yet, once their work finally loads, it covers mine. However, since I have already moved on to other areas of the document, I can’t simply undo the work I did during that previous time or at that area of the document… I wish there was a way to select the undo function for a specific time in the editing history or maybe even placement on the doc somehow… Again very specific, and rarely happens since I am usually very careful with shared documents loading and such, but when it does happen, its quite annoying.

Slıde swıtchıng
Hello! Thanks for the great app. It would be really cool to add a third scrolling mode: instant slide switching. This is sorely lacking. When I make podcasts, I have to erase in the reverse order, and return the elements as the podcast progresses. Switching (seamless) would be much easier

Changing to eraser on the fly
It would be nice to be able to change to eraser with the button on the side of my pen without having to lift my pen for the actual change to take place. It works like that in OneNote, and it would be a nice quality of life if it also worked like that in Goodnotes.

Backlinks
There are many proposals for hyperlinks between pages within a notebook or between pages in different notebooks.
This augments that idea with backlinks, such that each time a hyperlink is created from page A to page B, a backlink is implicitly created from page B to page A - so that it is easy to navigate back, as is currently available in Notion and Roam Research.

Clickable links from imported PDFs
It would be very nice if importing a book as a PDF does not wash away all clickable links.

Speechify
I am autistic and have ADHD and I use Speechify to read out loud any documents that I read. I am studying an engineering degree and use GoodNotes for all my work. I would love if you could somehow include a Speechify extension in GoodNotes so I don’t have to use two devices.

allow removal of "zoom | add comment" popup upon long press on the screen
Whenever I type and sometimes my hand rests on the ipad screen, the popup appears and it is really very frustrating. I have taken the one time subscription but still goodnote fails to provide the service.
