support to write in a straight line
I sometimes struggle to write in a straight line, it would be super cool if there'd be a feature, where you could insert some kind of ruler/support line, just a faint one, one that doesnt stay on the document, one that doesnt influence thats already written, that helps as a reference to write straight. thanks very much, apart from that, its a super super great app, i dont know how id do uni without you :D

Organize comments in outline section
Glad you added comments! Earlier I requested a collapsible post it, it this is better! I wish I could see all comments in one place, like in the outline section. Attached is a place you could do it!

Move Quick Note to Notebook
I want to create a new Quick Note and then when finished move it (all pages) to a Notebook. At present I can tap the File name and it only allows me to move to a Folder. The only viable option is to use the page picker, select all pages and then I can move to a Notebook - lots of taps

Use PDF metadata
When importing pdf, goodnote could read or fetch pdf metadata to organize, search, sort documents by author, publication date and stuff like that. That would be extremely useful for scientific papers and managing lots of references.

Epub format support
Enable GoodNotes to support the formats epub for e-books. We can totally utilize the use of this app for note-taking whilst reading an e-book in epub format (and the likes).

Highlighting Text should mark it as Note so that will appear as such in other PDF Viewers
I love your software and love how I can highlight text. However, I miss that highlighting the text wont mark it as a note so that it would appear as such in GoodNotes or any other PDF viewer such as Mac Preview, Adobe etc.
There seems to be a note standard format that is not used by Goodnotes.
This is bad because only with this internal format, notes as such can be collected, aggregated in an overview-function and even be extracted content-wise (some PDF-software such as PDF expert can do this — very helpful to re-read what was relevant).

Add multiple “Save a default text box style”
I used good notes for many different things, college note taking, filling in pdf documents, bullet journal. Please add an option to save more than one default text.
The font i use for note taking sometimes is too small for the font required to fill in documents. And my bujo is dark themed so the font needs to be white. It gets tedious having to change it everytime i open a text box depending on the document i am working on88 votes -
Highlight area
Highlight the area inside the drawn shape, just like the “fill color” option in the pen tool. However, the fill highlight color would be the same as the outline.

use external template
when external templates are bought , why can't we acces them from the database? i bought the dotted grid to test the process and it end like any pdf you would ad in a folder... not really useful, had to copy and paste instead of adding directly from the "plus" icon.

Better Support for typing (on iPads and Macs)
It would be amazing if text colour and size can be changed through keyboard shortcuts, and more advanced text features like Markdown can be brought in here. (Please learn from google docs and notion - thanks!)

WHITE BOARD LOVERS: Handwriting Capture to Movable Elements
Apple recently allows you to hold a photo and turn objects into a sticker element. Imagine how useful it would be to use this feature to edit handwriting notes after they are written.
To be able to take a photo of my whiteboard full of notes or a concept map... and then able to edit the words/ shift objects just like it was written in my goodnotes instead.

Preset text colour
I hope this gets seen!! It’s been a year!!
Please let us preset text colours, I use text most of the time as it’s neater.
I’m sure it’s not that hard to add in presets for text as you’ve already done so for highlighters and pens.

IOS app - charge during download instead of in-app.
We are a corporation and it will be easier for us to purchase your app using MDM rather than going to each IPAD at a time and purchase it that way.

Allow the relocating function in a zoom window
I use Goodnotes for taking notes.
It would be nice if I could use the relocating function(the red one in the pic) in the zoom window.Everytime I move my handwritings I should turn on the zoom window again and it is very annoying.

Keep the tool in use attached to each page
It would be great to have the tool in use attached to a page.
For instance, on one page, I have a pdf open and I use the highlight tool.
On another page, I take notes with the pen.
Going back and forth from one page to the other, I have to change the tool each time.

Highlight colour options in slider mode
When using the slider mode on ipad where i have two seperate documents open side by side both occupying half the screen, the highlight colour options are not visible. I have to click on colour menu and change it every time. Please update it so we have colour options even when it's in slider mode.

Can you add please?
hello, you can add: 1) Ruler (for mathematics and graphs). 2) Dictaphone according to the text. 3) Eyedropper and transparency brush. 4) Written by hand in printed text. 5) Drawing tools. 6) Not only straightening lines, but also wavy lines, zigzags. 7) The ability to turn the sheet with your fingers (upside down, sideways, etc.).

Aumentar a quantidade de cores disponiveis quando a tela esta no modo horizontal
Olá! Algo que me incomoda muito é o fato de o aplicativo liberar apenas 3 cores quando o iPad está em modo horizontal, sendo que há espaço para colocar muito mais cores. Seria muito interessante aumentar esse número de cores para diminuir o tempo gasto para troca de cores

Automate imports via watched folders or shortcuts
I would like to have a quicker method of importing PDFs on my Mac into the goodnotes app. Connecting GoodNotes to Apple shortcuts would allow me to program this myself, but a "Watch Folder" for the Mac app would work just as well.
