On-demand Downloading of Documents
It would be great to have a feature that allows users to have manual control over which documents are to be downloaded onto the device and which are to remain in the iCloud (assuming that iCloud Sync is already enabled), just like some cloud storage services like OneDrive. For users in the possession of multiple gigabytes of documents or some storage-intensive documents like numerous scanned PDFs, an on-demand downloading feature would be a great help to save disk space on their devices.

Highlighter resize
It would be useful to be able to resize the higlights the same way you resize photos, so that you could adjust the length and height separately. Because right now i have to redo the highlight several times before it fits the area i want to highlight without covering the other areas that i want to keep clear or highlight in a different colour

Add fill in for highlighter
Please add a fill in for highlighters. It will be helpful for people who use highlighters for planners to mark timings.
When I draw a rectangle using the highlighter, hope that it could fill the inside as well

Crop screenshots directly after you took them
Currently you have to take a screenshot, copy it, paste it into a notebook and then you can crop it.
Suggestion: Make it possible to to crop the screenshot directly in the preview window.4 votes -
Move writing without moving drawing
It would be nice to have the ability to select the writing you have on top of a drawing and just move the writing. I often have hand writing on top of a drawing, but want to move the handwriting, but if you lasso it, the drawing is also picked up and the entire thing moves. It would be great if you could just select the writing to make diagrams and notes easier to align.

More options when resizing shapes
I would love to be able to draw a rectangle (for example) and then have the option to increase length or width individually. Sometimes the app reads my proportions wrong when I create a shape and it Luke be nice to fix one side without increasing the entire shape.

insert 3D-Lidar Scan Objects (as Link)
On my measurement I use a Goodnotes-File and a 3D Lidar-Scan. So I need to bring the Lidar-Scan (or a Link to the Lidar-Scan) in my Goodnotes-Document.

about adding new template
please in your next update add black colour template ( I am not talking about the dark one) by the way I just loved your app. I am requesting it because I tried the third-party templates and I didn't like it. Hoping a positive response..

Adding multiple blank pages
Would love to be able to add a few blank pages so that while taking note we can just continue writing instead of having to pull vertical/horizontal to create a new page. Sometimes I have to sit before class and create the number of pages I estimate I’ll need in order to have the space.

Include the single finger panning toggle on the pop up menu that shows up within a document.
When scrolling within a PDF and then making annotations it’s convenient to change from single finger panning (on/off) to enhance scrolling and palm rejection. If single finger panning is on while making annotations, the page moves. But if it’s kept off, when it’s time to scroll, it’s a bit difficult when scrolling multiple pages with two fingers. An easily accessible toggle would be ideal.

More options of scans
Propose more qualities of scans (best / medium / low / black and white) to permit a lower size of the files.

Searching inside a folder
Hi together!
I would love it to have the possibility to search in a specific folder of my documents. Rather inside the normal search or directly inside the folder. 📁
This would be so great! 😃

scanned documents aspect ratio
When Scanning for example an A4 document, it is „placed“ on the GoodNotes standard aspect ratio, creating white unused space next to it. It would be nice to either be able to select the aspect ratio or that the document is simply imported just like a normal photo (not placed on any white background with the wrong aspect ratio)
Thank you very much :)3 votes -

Add ways to organize and manage tabs to stop them from accumulating
It is very easy for users to accumulate tabs when using GoodNotes, especially since they don't have to choose to close or keep them when closing the app. As time goes by, the buildup of tabs hinders the user experience. For example, when opening an older document whose tab was never closed, the user has to swipe through the endless sea of tabs to find the document they were working on moments ago. Additionally, closing tabs rapidly could be improved on because when the user closes a tab, the next tab has to animate under the user's finger before they can close it.
Features like having an option to automatically close tab after a period of time, tab search, tab overview (like Safari) and tab groups can improve this experience.
