Adding a fourth colour at the tool bar
Dear Ladies and Gentlemen!
I would be happy if you could add more colours to the tool bar in order to switch between them faster.
Is this feature already planned in your road map?Yours sincerely

TEXT COLOURS
Please allow custom colour palettes for text. AND the ability to have mixed colours in a single text block. At the moment if you change the colour of part of a text block, the UI changes the WHOLE block.

A pen stabiliser
This has been asked time and time again. Seriously, why have you not added it yet? People have been asking for YEARS to have a pen stabiliser.
Add pen stabilising settings to make your app actually useable.
It’s especially hard for those with disabilities that affect their ability to write.

Real Dark Mode / Exporting Dark Paper in white with black ink?
Dear GoodNotes team,
At the moment there is only the option of having dark paper as a background, which cannot be exported as a PDF in white, as the handwritten text remains white.
I thought of a few methods how to use dark paper, which is easier on the eyes, but can still be exported on white paper.
Method 1:
New intelligent template, which is based on the dark mode settings.
- Dark Mode enabled: Dark paper and white ink - Dark Mode disabled: White paper and black inkMethod 2:
New Background setting, which changes the appearance of the current paper (like OneNote).
Method 3:
It is possible to export notes without the background, this works fine on white paper, but on dark paper the white ink disappears in the white background.
You could introduce a function that inverts white ink into black (colors other than black and white would remain as they are) This function could be placed next to
The background option while exporting. At the moment there are only two options, either you work with white paper so that you can export it later in white with black ink, or you work with dark paper, but you can only export it in black, otherwise the white ink disappears on white paper.
Some schools and universities like mine only accept normal white paper
There are already suggestions here, but I started a new one because the others did not have a correct solution.
OneNote and other apps have this feature, so it's not impossible to implement. Even Apple's standard Notes app can do this.
I guess the third method is the easiest to implement. Exporting dark pages without the background is pretty useless at the moment.
Since exporting with white paper is essential for me, I will probably stay with OneNote, unfortunately.
I hope you can introduce this feature soon, because it is desperately needed.
With best regards

status bar
I want to hide the status bar in iPadOS 15 for screen work space.
In the previous iPadOS 14, I was able to hide the status bar, so I could use the screen space largely, but I can't hide it after I turned 15, so it's a little inconvenient.9 votes -
Goodnotes as the better Anki: bigger flash cards, zooming feature and more…
Goodnotes is great. With the flash card option it is even greater and holds the potential to compete with Anki, the best-known provider for the creation of flash cards for effective and sustainable learning, since a lot of students like to write by hand which is not possible with Anki. Especially since the Anki app for tablets is available for the great expense of € 27.99. Goodnotes could attract a lot of customers with an expansion of the feature.
At the moment, however, studying with more detailed flash cards on good notes is very exhausting as the content is displayed in a very small window. Therefore it would be an EXTREMELY ESSENTIAL improvement to make flashcards span the entire screen and make zooming in on complex content (such as tables, grafics etc.) possible.
Here are some more ideas which could be implemented later on:
-Study modes cards in order vs. in shuffle mode for going through cards randomly
-Study modes studying folders as wanted (already availabld) vs. studying all due cards with an adjustable daily maximum (option 1: folder by folder, option 2: folders mixed)
-Reminder of when cards are due
-editing flash cards while studying
-choosing specific flash cards (eg pages 6-34) within documents for studying
-studying flashcards both ways (eg for learning vocabulary)
-a tool that makes one or more areas of the flash card (e.g. lettering of pictures) invisible, which are then shown on the other side; if more than on blank area, automatic creation of flash cards for each blank area
-an overview of when which cards are due and, separately, when which cards were learned.I myself am a medical student who would be very greatful for the primarily proposed feature of seeing cards on full screen lengh and width as well as being able to zoom in. Without that I am prone to look for other ways to implement flash cards in my ways of studying.
I know A LOT of people that use both Goodnotes and Anki. How GREAT would it be to use only one app combining functional and sustainable learning with beautifully designed flash cards as it is already possible with GoodNotes?

Support for pasting in x-callback links
I use a lot of x-callback links, like a link to a DEVONthink document. The new linking feature assumes that it’s an HTTP link, and therefore puts in the HTTP in front of it, which doesn’t work for the x-callback types of links.

Reminder entry with handwritten notes
Many people use good notes for planner or as a diary. It would be very helpful one could add a reminder entry or calendar entry during taking notes . For example just button that shows entry of reminder at that place. Also reminder app will have an entry so that it will notify you when needed. Perhaps as a separate purchase. Like pencil planner app in app store.

Editable PDF backgrounds and more customization
I suggest a more customizable range of template colors, that can also be used to replace preexisting backgrounds on imported PDFs.
I also think it would be a good idea to be able to customize the color theme of the entire app.4 votes -

horizontal and vertical rulers for precise item placement on the page
Please add horizontal and vertical rulers (similar to the rulers available is MS word / indesign, etc ...) so that the user would be able to place an object/write in a precise location. This is very helpful if someone intends to print a page with specific header/footer sizes and left/right margins, or for example if someone wants to place an object 4cm from the top, and 2cm from the left of the page.

flashcards
The ability to open the flashcards as full screen when we are studying them instead of it opening a separate page. Also a function that enlarges the text/ zooms in when you are studying the flashcards. I always zoom in initially to write my text but then I go to study flashcards function and I can't even read what I have written. So I have to go back and enlarge all the text. This is so, so annoying - please change this. And more options to track the cards you've studied and ways to overview/ provide a summary of the difficulty of cards that have been studied. More similar to anki style so that we can use goodnotes as a replacement.

Turn off autocapitalisation in textbox
I’m aware GoodNotes was not designed for a text-to-speech app, but I really need it to have the ability to read text out loud during my studies. You already have OCR recognition and the iOS already contains spoken content functionality with a speech controller, so I think it just lands itself to enable it in GoodNotes too, right? It would really be so helpful if I didn’t have to use 10 different applications during my study sessions, if most small things could be done from GoodNotes that would truly be awesome. Much obliged guys

Keep page title thumbnails and outlines during export (and reimport)
Exported out a file to resize pages but when imported back, GN remembered the marked pages with page numbers under outlines, but didn’t keep the page titles under thumbnails. Had to do 500 pages all over again.

Always to be able set page height and width on screen regardless of paper size
If pages are all the same size in a document and are smaller than A5, GN does not allow to further zoom out, i.e. keeps pages maximised on fit to screen. Can we please not have this? I’m now forced to add a page larger than the others to my documents just so that it is not always fit to screen. It’s disturbing to me as it really bugs my OCD.
