Links automatically clickable
I'm used to always copying & pasting links into my notes in order to support my research. It's frustrating that I can't do this in GoodNotes. If I copy & paste a link into a text box, it wont be clickable. Please consider making this feature a top priority in future updates because it is required for students, teachers and people doing research. My notes aren't as useful when I can't include links that will work. I really just want to be able to tap on a link to open it and then tap back to go to the GoodNotes page that I was looking at.
This feature is very basic, but if added, it is one of those features that would make GoodNotes feel a lot more complete.
Thank you GoodNotes team :)

Allow users to select what content is stored on device and allow other content to be stored in cloud.
After years of use and many tens of gigbytes of content, my ipad is full from goodnotes content. I dont want to delete older notes because I occasionally refer to them. I request allowing us to selectively sync some content to our devices and allow older content to be stored in the cloud and downloaded when needed directly within the app.

Fixing a problem of synching up data as PDF
when i tried to upload my notes and folders ..... on One drive as PDFs
i tried to download them again on Good notes
i found the PDFs annotations are constant and cannot be edited again
on the other hand, i tried to do the same manually on some files and repeated
the process and found the annotations editable, but it would take very much
time to do this on every file in every folder.

preview search results
When searching on iphone spotlight search, it would be good if a small preview image of the document would show. Notability has this feature so it shouldn’t be hard I think

Selection setting to adjust pen’s thickness and a quick selection of pen style
Suggestion:
Add the option to modify the note thickness in the selection adjustment setting.
Set the quick selection of pen style, including pencolor, note thickness collection pen, etc.
In fact, it works pretty well so far, well,we can refer to notability to improve some individual functions3 votes -
Can't edit files downloaded from Community (NOT in .goodnotes format)
When I download content from the Goodnotes Community tab, I'm not able to edit any of the files. Files don't seem to import into my library as a .goodnotes files but instead as some form of .pdf(?).
This is really annoying especially when people make things like sticker packs (a bunch of images/icons on a page) where the intent is for you to import the stickers as elements. If it's not a .goodnotes file, you have to screenshot and crop everything yourself AND a lot of the resolution is lost.
Beyond that, I often like to make tweaks to stuff I download for personal use (change colours, move things around slightly, copy and paste things) and it's annoying not to be able to do that.
I get that some people might not want you to be able to edit their content, but I think it would be really simple to just have the option when you upload your content of whether people download it as a pdf or .goodnotes file.
This seems like a really major flaw with Community that I'd love to see fixed.

Write in full screen (read only mode)
I'd love to be able to write in full screen mode - sometimes I'm just doing maths exercises, all I need is a black pen and double tap to erase. I just wish we could have the read-only mode screen real estate, while writing. I don't need the toolbar or document tabs most of the time!

Support Sync.com for Document Storage
iCloud is NOT end-to-end encrypted. Therefore storing sensitive data on iCloud is a bad idea.
GoodNotes should support storing its document database on Sync.com. Sync.com is very similar to Dropbox. It's easy to use, has good Mac integration, as well as apps for iOS and iPadOS. And it's 100% PRIVATE, unlike Dropbox, iCloud, etc.
Please support Sync.com. Many users want the kind of privacy that only end-to-end encrypted storage allows. I'd love to have access to the medical records, receipts, etc. that I keep as PDFs. But I will not import such information into GoodNotes until end-to-end encrypted storage is supported.
Adding support for Sync.com would be the quickest and easiest way to accomplish this.

Font size as percentage of page
Students get slides/notes/etc from multiple professors so they end up being different sizes so my idea is for font size to be a function of the width of the page (as a %) rather than an absolute value like it is now. This would make the text tool much more convenient as I could type notes without worrying about if what I'm writing is too small or too big.

Lefthanders - simple but gamechanging feature
When we left-handed people (and i guess it’s the same problem for right-handed people at the right side of the page) write on goodnotes , we cannot rest the left hand on the screen of the ipad while writing when beginning a sentence, because the paper cannot be moved around. So our hand is always partly on the edge of the ipad partly on the table.
So if it was possible to pull and push the paper around on the ipad as we want, we could calmly rest our left hand on the screen when writing. To understand what i mean please look at the photos!!!
I really love to work with goodnotes and hope that you pick up this idea (because, frankly said, always hanging at the edge of the ipad while writing drives my inner honk a little crazy). so i hope you find the idea as valuable as I and probably as many many other left handed users. (also it‘s probably easier to integrate into the program than many other cool ideas, so let’s go for this one😉)

compatibility with drawing tablet for Mac
The performance of writing in GoodNotes 5 for Mac with a third-party drawing tablet/graphic tablet is terrible. I use a Wacom Intuos Pro S with bluetooth function and there is no chance to write properly as it stutters all the time.
GoodNotes is no use for students/teachers if you can't work with a pen tablet and that's why I hope it will be updated soon.
Until this happens, I have to use Microsoft OneNote, although I prefer the surface and workflow of GoodNotes.4 votes -
Convert TEXT to HANDWRITING
Sometimes I have a hard time reading typed out text and understand my own handwriting better but it’s just so tedious writing everything out by hand. Since typing is more efficient, it would be nice to convert text to handwriting. We could start by writing the whole alphabet in capitals and lowercase and when we want to convert text to handwriting, it could replace the text characters with letters we’ve drawn out.

Fixing the bug, that Pdf-docs imported from Chrome are not in the original size, but are too small
In comparison to Safari there is always this bug, that when i import a pdf-document from the chrome browser, it often won’t be the usual size, but it is too small. Can be seen in the picture.

flashcards inverted?
It would be nice if it were possible to use flashcard mode for vocab training. Therefore it would have to be possible to flip the "question" and "answer" page. Manually (all of them) or randomly (single ones). More over, the Q and A page titles should be renamable like "English" / "Spanish". There are loads of vocab training apps out there but I like the Idea of handwriting. What do you think about it?
