Emptying Trash
I’m having trouble emptying the trash. When ever I try to empty it, the option goes away but the trash doesnt empty. I tried deleting them individually but that doesnt work either. Refreshing the app doesn’t help either. It’s making the app really glitchy for me with all the extra storage. Please help! :)

In Presenter Mode: Custom background color or transparent background when zooming out
For my lectures, I use "Mirror Presenter Page" to mirror my writing on a pdf file to an AirServer window on my Mac. The AirServer window is then overlayed in OBS with a video of myself (greenscreen). When I zoom out, Good Notes applies a black color to fill the background. I would like to suggest to be able to choose the background color (either black/white or color palette) and/or use a transparent background.

Horizontal/Vertical add page
If you do your pages vertically, imagine if you could add notes on a horizontally added page. This would be significantly helpful for PDFs which take up the entire page for each page so you can create summaries, pointers or organize what is in the particular page.
On a separate note, it would be a nice addition to have this horizontal page be floating and following you as you scroll so you can continue to update this one page to potentially summarize the entire document in that one page (this could be an alternative option to adding a single fixed page on the horizontal plane of choice)
NOTE: If you do your pages horizontally, the concept would be to add pages vertically for extra space for notes.

Paste screenshots directly into notes without having to upload them from the gallery
I am constantly taking screenshots when I do research and I'm looking to gather them together into a notebook. I want to quickly paste screenshots into the notebook and also be able to add my personal notes next to them or directly on them. I wish I could do this immediately after taking the screenshot without having to go to my gallery to upload the image into GoodNotes. This will allow me to maintain my train of thought better and it will be less tedious. It will make my workflow much more effective. Since right now I have to go to the gallery each time I want to upload an image into GoodNotes, it makes me less likely to do it at the moment I take the screenshot. This creates another problem where I have a hard time finding the specific screenshot that I'm looking for because it becomes buried among many others. It's difficult to tell screenshots apart when the thumbnails are small. That's why it would be really helpful if we could paste a screenshot into a notebook right after taking that screenshot without having to upload it from the gallery. This can be extremely useful for research and productivity! It will help me be a lot more organized too!
This time-saving feature would be even better if expanded. What if users could paste images directly from the Internet (such as a Google Search or Pinterest) into notes by skipping the process of uploading these images from the gallery? These images would still be saved into the iPad like regular images are, not just as links that could be destroyed and result in the images no longer being visible. Maybe they can be saved into a folder in the gallery made specifically for GoodNotes. The only difference is that users will be able to paste the images from a browser directly into their notes, and skip the tedious process of going into the gallery every time an image needs to be uploaded. It's a feature that will allow me to record my notes almost as quickly as I think of the ideas. I really hope it gets added.
I appreciate you taking the time to read about my feature suggestions :)

web-based access to GoodNotes account?
I run an organisation that uses GoodNotes as our digital white-board app for hybrid Zoom and in-person classes. Due to switching from a single Zoom license to Zoom Rooms for our organisation i've had to create a new GoodNotes account for our in-classroom iPads, which all sync nicely amongst themselves now that i've created a organisational Apple ID. The notes from these classes now no longer sync with my GoodNotes app on my laptop (as my laptop uses my personal Apple ID. As I sometimes forgot to email the notes from each class to myself at the end of the day, it would be extremely useful for me to be able to login to the GoodNotes website, enter my work Apple ID and download the notes as PDFs so that I can send these to my students. Is there another way to do this? I thought I could log out of my personal GoodNotes app, but I can't, as it's tied to my personal Apple ID, and the only way I can access the notes on our classroom iPads is to physically email (or airdrop) them to my laptop, which I often forget to do at the end of a long day. Any workarounds?

handwriting to text--as you write
Handwriting to text--as you write. I love GoodNotes. Total fan. It makes ADD me an organized guy. No easy feat. I like how easy it is to edit a notebook's thumbnails. I love the variety of line width--and the instant undo, which I need so often. But, but, but: Last night my wife showed me Jamboard on her iPad Pro--and I couldn't believe how cool it was that her handwriting got turned into text--as she wrote! So I tried this in GoodNotes. Yes . . . . you DO convert handwriting to text--in 13 easy steps. GoodNotes validates my purchase of my big iPad Pro. (and it's even on my iPhone!) In closing, here's a picky request: when I pull the lower-right corner of an image, the image expands top and bottom. Whoa. Then I have to go see what it just covered up the bottom of. If the TOP of an image STAYED THERE during a magnification (rather than disappearing upwards), one could work with one's pictures and photos more easily. Your fan, Terrill Shepard Soules terrillsoules@gmail.com

Recognize handwrite to convert it a certian font
Currently we need to use the lasso tool to do convert but its not practical at all, because we need then to copy the text and post a text box to put it inside, writing in MS word is easier this way! there is an app called Nebo and its doing it write, GoodNotes is my favorite so please make it easy to do so.

Sinusoids and other graphs
I'm an engineering student who uses Goodnotes for his note taking in class. The thing I miss the most in Goodnotes is plotting non linear functions such as exponentials and sinusoids.
I think it will be very helpful for all the students out there who use this fantastic app in class4 votes -
Creating Space in already existing text - or scribbles on a page
I would join this wish, in combination with a feature from OneNote, which I appreciate very much: Create a gap on the page by inserting a space of any height. This creates space between existing text or sketches for additions.
It might be a problem to move the space to the next page, because the content of the next page is delimited. A compromise would be creating a page on which the moved part is pushed.Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)

An option to make the pen non-erasable
It would be nice if I could set the pen to not be erasable. Sometimes, I do not notice that I am in eraser mode (with a big size), then I accidentally erase my notes.

Collate a list of highlighted text into a single page/document
Would be great if it can also be sorted out by colours.
That way, we can simply glance at what we've highlighted on a single page.

Switchable Colour Sets & Optimised colour set modes for Page type
I do sketching technical detail works on a black page canvas templates and usually I have to bring up a gradation colour set of white to grey.
However when Im going back to another Notebook that is a white page I need to use black colours.
It would be nice if we can first of all we had an option to switch between a customised colours of our own made set of 3s
For e.g. I would have White, grey and Dark grey
and Ill be able to hit a switch icon and it will cycle through to another made set of Black, orange and Grey- It would be an extra great feature if we could preset standards where we allocate certain colour sets to certain page types so that we don't need to keep switching all the time

two Options to fill in in colour in a shape
In the app, there are two different menu points where you can change the option whether you want to fill in the shapes or not. But if I change it at the pen menu, the same change occurs at the shapes menu.
But it would be cool to be able to draw not filled in shapes when the pen is selected an to be able to draw filled in shapes when you select the shapes menu. So that the two buttons are not connected together.2 votes -

PREVIEW A SIDEBAR WITH A LIST OF BOOKMARKS
I appreciate the setting of hyperlinks coming from other apps such as Keynote or InDesign, etc. However, I think it would be more useful the possibility to preview all the bookmarks on a sidebar whenever I want, being able to add shortcuts to any of my files inside the GoodNotes app.

Search for highlights / consolidated highlights
The apple books app has this great feature that shows all of your highlights in a given book under "notes." I would LOVE to see something similar on Goodnotes.
I color code my highlighting so if I could search for just orange highlights and then see all of my definitions (which I color code in orange) in one place and then jump to that page by tapping that would be amazing.

A mini notebook in your notebook Or an advanced flashcard ability
There is an app muse, who to tell you the truth is a bad app but has a very unique feature and that it has infinity amount of flashcards on it that they can become bigger and smaller and you can even add a card inside another
What am asking for is simple a flashcard that you see its containt and can controle its size that when you want to use you can make it bigger, this flashcard has an infinitesimal size or at least the size of a typical page
This feature is like a game-changer for most of us
