Change line weight of selected strokes
When I select some writing with the lasso tool in Goodnotes, there is an option to change the color of the writing.
In Notability you can also edit the line weights to make the pen strokes thicker or thinner.
Could an option to edit line weight be added?

Colour memory for different tool
Please add memory of colour to tools. Switching from pen to shape tool, I’m stuck in the same colour used in “pen” , so I have to change the colour . Different tool should have different colour memory

Share documents with a link (share with people who do not have the app)
Many GoodNotes users want to share documents with people who do not have the app, so it would be incredible if you added the option to share through a link so that anyone from any browser can view it and download it in pdf format, and that when we are modifying the file the other person reload the page and the changes made will appear.

Pls add a feature where we can identify the hex code of a colour by either a long press or any other shortcut making it easier to re edit my diagrams

笔记定义的时候只能够基于单种语言进行OCR，在iOS 15发布后留意到Live Text可以实现多语种同时OCR识别，是否有可能调用API实现多语种同时OCR，尤其是对于学科笔记而言，以中文为主体记录，但很难避免会部分出现数字或英文单词，这个时候会识别不到。

A button to go back to open documents
A simple button in the menu area to directs the user to the open documents instead of open any document just to open the previously opened docs.

Replace horizontal list of actions on a selection with a wheel menu
Currently the actions that can be performed on a selection show up as a horizontal list, which means that they are very spread out and require relatively large movements to reach (for instance "delete" is to the far right).
I propose replacing it with a wheel-like menu, where the actions are indicated by icons rather than spelled out, like in the attached drawing. This would make all actions easily accessible without moving the pen very far.

import excalidraw library as elements
excalidraw is a popular tool and has that same vibe of hand drawn coolness. They also seem to have a large set of libraries. It'll be a hug productivity boost if one can import their library

moving the image from one page to several pages next
when I was taking notes, I needed a picture from the page 1 to page 5. I made a copy of that image and tried to drag that image down to the 5th page but I couldn't move several pages down when I am holding the the copy of the image.
the only way was to make copy on each page. meaning when you make a copy you can only drag it around whatever page shown on a screen, no further.10 votes -

Highlighter on black paper should be brighter.
These idea already was written, and the status is "done". But in fact it isn't. Look how the highlighter is on dark paper when it is done and when it is selected or with apple pencil on it when you make it. You should review this idea and realise it already please.

Text mode immediate start where pencil last on page/pre-set start point for new page
you should be able to start typing in a box as soon as you click the text function and be able to start typing where u last put your pencil (so you can point and the textbox appears there) (or add a starting point). This way you don’t lose time switching between modes.

Outline freedom
I’ve seen lots of ideas about outlines and in conclusion I think a side view plus the ability to add outlines as one would see fit (wether it is notebooks within notebooks or just inside a document like in Word with headings and titles). This is really one of the biggest shortcomings of GoodNotes and makes the app always feel replaceble.

synch selected folders
It would be great to be able to only synch certain folders or notes to iCloud in order to reduce traffic. I have quite a lot of notes that I only need on my iPad, but would like to synch only some folders to my Macbook.

New Scrolling Feature: Page Flipping (Vertically & Horizontally)
I hope you can add an option to have a page flipping ‘animation’ whenever going from one page to another that is similar to what it would look like in real life. Instead of the usually swiping to the next page, we would need this animation feature to add more fun and simulation to our note making process. Additionally, this would dramatically make the app more real to life. Personally, this would make me more engaged (and happy hehe) when flipping through long textbook PDFs or my digital notebooks. It would be such a joy to have these feature, and it could overall increase productivity and pleasure in the app.

Note Taking Mode
I would like the 'favorites' feature from Notability implemented along with the additional screen space that GoodNotes has when going into no-writing mode and taping the screen to make the bar go away.
Basically I want an ACTUALLY full-screen paper notetaking experience with a small, customizable, movable shortcuts bar that can fit up to 5-10 preselected pen/size/colors. Aka, a streamlined (Note Taking Mode).

Capability to choose an image format (PNG) when exporting
GoodNotes allows export files via image only like JPG file, but PNG is better quality format. It would be helpful if GoodNotes allowed to choose an exporting image format

Shorten your current paper length
I currently „struggle“ a lot with this.
What I mean is, it would be nice if you are able to cut of the end of your paper. For example, in school you have to work on a task and write something down but the next task is a document. Then there’s a lot of space between the handwritten task and the document.
It would be great if you could be able to shorten the page and not just change the layout, because I often don‘t know in the beginning if I have to use a whole page or just a third maybe.I currently „struggle“ a lot with this.
