Having a vertical toolbar in the landscape mode would use the screen’s real estate much more efficiently.

Zoom Window Toolbar GN5
Please bring back the toolbar from GoodNotes 4. Having the pen, eraser, colors, and undo button is so crucial for note taking. This will increase speed for those of us without Apple Pencils. Double tapping to erase just doesn’t work like this Toolbar did.

Show Drawings at fixed scale
the ability to show the screen at true 100% or alternative 200/400/50% scales would make it much easier to review technical drawings.

Webclient
With a web client, the app would be absolutely cross-platform. Windows users (often business users) would certainly benefit.

Background Sync Improvement - Mac OS
I appreciate that GoodNotes is constantly syncing to my iCloud account and that feature works great. However, on my MacBook Pro, it is frustrating when the program opens on my screen and interrupts my current activities. Is there a way to have the background sync on the Mac function as it does, while keeping the program minimized in the background? Thx

normal pointer or mouse cursor for the Mac version.
Sometimes I want to copy worlds out for googling or something like that. To get a better workflow with Goodnotes 5 for Mac it wood be nice to have a common mouse cursor in the toolbar. Than you can mark worlds or sentences and copy them out.

enable the ability to erase a certain color of handwritten notes
The current eraser generally erases everything. However, this is a problem with complex text that is possibly highlighted or circled in different colors, for example, with mathematical equations or problems. An eraser that is able to selectively erase a certain color will make it easier to remove unwanted colored text instead of having to erase everything and rewrite it.

Add Presentation Mode to GoodNotes 5 for Mac
The possibility to use GoodNotes 5 for Mac with Sidecar gives us the chance to deliver reach presentations with the Mac, using GoodNotes for Mac as a whiteboard, and the Sidecar-connected iPad + Apple Pencil for drawing on the whiteboard.
Adding a Presentation Mode to GoodNotes for Mac -- especially including Laser Pointers -- would improve considerably this practice.

Two separate files/notebooks simultaneously visible on same tab (not split view]
I think split view is a useful tool to take advantage of but still not as efficient/user friendly as I’d like it to be.
Example: I want to read a pdf document and take notes of that content as I’m reading through the document. While split view can facilitate this situation, it takes too much screen space with all the tools. It’s also two separate documents that aren’t really linked/associated with each other.
Solution A: add a sticky note tool option to the toolbar so that we can have a floating sticky note on whatever page we’re on. This has been suggested already and think it would be useful. Maybe it’s a floating sticky note that can be collapsed and expanded as we read through the document. This sticky note is essentially its own document that can be opened separately from the PDF document where it was originally created (almost like linking a notebook into a PDF document). If we open the original PDF document, we should still be able to access the sticky note content as well.
Solution B: Essentially the same thing as solution A, but instead of a sticky note, it would be an actual notebook. We should have the option of clicking the toolbar and adding a sheet that would also be collapsible/expandable and floating.
Example: I’m reading a 15 page Document (PDF or notebook), and I’d like to take notes of some of the content. I want to take notes from page 3,6,8, and 10. In the end I’d have a separate notebook that is only 4 pages long. This notebook can then be opened separately so as to review the content but would also be linked/associated with the original document that it was created in (if I open the 15 page document I would still be able to see the 4 pages in whatever location they were originally created)I know this is a lot but I hope it makes sense and I hope others will find this useful. I can create some mockups of what I mean if that would help.

Toolbar palm rejection/change position
I usually write notes using the zoomed window at the top of the iPad because I consider more comfortable to rest my wrist on the glass than on the border of the tablet. Due to this position, I often tap the color/thickness/undo/redo/new page controls with my wrist. Could it be possible to have both the zoom window and the toolbar at the top or maybe near the zoom window’s one, or to have a touch rejection feature that disables the toolbar when the Pencil or the wrist are touching the screen?

changing the size of typed text without changing the bold words
Whenever i type a text i usually have some words in bold. And if i then go ahead and change the size of the entire typed text all of it turns bold and then i need to figure out again which words i had bold and which weren‘t. That is really annoying.

More Color Options
Add more slots for colors. I switch between more than 3 and it’d be nice to be able to view more colors to change faster between taking notes.

Option to modify imported documents
Please add an option to modify imported documents. It would be really helpful if we could edit documents that we import directly, for example change the text.
Could allow you to fix typos or expand upon what someone else has written in their documents. Or be able to add more space in between the text to write your own text, take notes on the text you imported or add images between the text.
Another example: if you import an questions sheet it would allow you to add extra space between two questions to show your working right under the question prompt. Please add an option to modify imported documents.
