Drag and Drop notes as images on Mac
The current drag & drop feature copies notes as a PDF file. (http://feedback.goodnotes.com/forums/191274-customer-suggestions-for-goodnotes/suggestions/19716046-export-individual-pages-using-drag-and-drop-mac-a)
However, It's sometimes desirable (and easier to view) if I copy them as images (to email app, iMessage, other note-taking app like Bear, etc.). I wish there is an option to select images over PDF.4 votes -
Make typing on GoodNotes neater
Currently, when I use the text feature with a ruled background, the texts will overlap the lines of the background. It will be perfect if we can adjust the spacing such that the text can fit perfectly between the space.
I would like to add if possible that the shape tool can be enhanced to recognise the shapes better. Occasionally the shape tool will correct my input into a warped shape.

Change from folder view to document view without open another document’
Need a way to navigate from folder view to document view without open a new document and close it later every time. A must for academic research and writing.

Speed reader
It would be awesome to have a RSVP reader that allowed selecting sections of text to speed-read! For example like https://www.spritz.com/

Selection of text in Goodnotes Mac Version 5.4.14 (537189.527274582)
Please allow selection of multiple text or even few sentences using "select and drag"

Remember last style (brush, size, color) when opening a document.
I use different brush, color and size in different documents. When opening a document, I spend time resetting my style.
Also (or alternatively) allow saving presets (combo box with up to 3 or 10 presets).

exporting without background
Could Goodnotes 5 allow export to PDF or image without the template background? Whenever I select export without background, it remove all my inserted or imported picture/pdf.
I would like to export without template background for printing, because it is waste of ink.
Also, can we export selected pages too ?
Can Goodnotes auto convert the light colour ink in dark mode to dark ink when exporting without background? (like Notes App in iOS13)8 votes -
Switch black and white text for exporting
Add a way to swap white text with black text when exporting a dark background notebook. That way it can be printed.

Fix the lasso-disappearing text-bug
Sometimes when I lasso some text and then deselect, I
ALL THE SELECTED TEXT DISAPPEARS.undo/redo doesn't do anything. Sometimes the text reappears after a few minutes of writing, sometimes its just gone forever. Very frustrating, has been happing for a few months now.

Rearranging file Order
Please see attached:
In this screen - it would be wonderful if you could rearrange the order of your files, just by dragging them. It would greatly improve workflow speed and file management.
Many thanks,
Asim

Freehand writing editing like Newton Messagepad
I keep waiting for someone to replicate the Newton MessagePad. You’re getting there, but here are some things I would love you to add:
- treat handwritten text more like a word processor treats type. I should be able to select streams of words just as I would in a word processor by dragging across the line or block with an i-bar pointer, and then cut, copy, delete. And do wrapping like a word processor too.
- Have the option for having those blocks of handwritten text in a basic outliner, with drag and drop of points, indenting and outdenting, drag and drop of parts of the tree, and collapsing parts of the outline
- also support basic (typed) text editing. Ideally, let me mix together handwritten and typed words in the same paragraph.
- support on-the-fly text editingJust copy the Newton feature set. 25 years later, it’s still the best handwriting notepad ever conceived.

I whish there are two options in tool bar settings +bug report
so that we can use two options-one like prior goodnotes 4, less useing upper space, but little pen options made up of those we use oftern. The other the tool bar just like nowadays.
The bug I think is abut device storage. When I write on my document(automatic backup in ondrive on, no icloud) and check available ipad storage in file app, from 300MB to 1 GB of available storage decreases and this storage does not return. The size of the document is 8MB. This happens only after using goodnotes in my device.(I haven't checked in other devices yet) This doens't happens when I pause automatic backup. Could you please check this bug? I can send you the video I recorded if it is needed. It's about 1 GB so I can't paste here. Thank you!

Kickstarter-like user pledges of $$$ to fund new feature development
I love that users can propose new functionality and vote on others’ suggestions.
What if users who are really keen on seeing certain projects get up, could also pledge $$ to help fund development of specific features?
It would be a way of us putting our money where our mouths are. If lots of users really want to see a feature, and if we all throw in even a dollar or two behind that feature, then this could give you the resources to pay for hiring developers to implement that idea.
You could even offer an Incentive Scheme — that those users who pledge (I don’t know, what’s a reasonable amount?) $20 or more towards features they’d like to seee implemented, will receive a free upgrade when the next full-version paid update of GoodNotes is released. After all, the money they would have pledged is what would have helped to implement the features present in the version.)
This way, even if the money I’ve pledged towards different features only sees some of my features implemented, I would still benefit since now I’d have access to a free update.
And if I’m lucky enough that others also pledge money for the same features that I pledge money for, that would hopefully give you lovely folks at GoodNotes reason to prioritise implementing these features, and again I’d be super happy to see the features we really want coming out sooner.
Would anybody else here be prepared to pledge a few bucks towards the ideas they’d like to see implemented as new features?

Mouse cursor in the presentation mode
Now iPadOS has very rudimentary mouse support through the AssistiveTough feature. Perhaps it would be nice to make use of this? Currently, in the presentation mode the mouse cursor is hidden, along with other interface elements.
While GoodNotes 5 already has a very nice laser pointer feature, this still requires you to be near the iPad. On the other hand, when doing a presentation, the ability to move away from the podium would be very nice.
I happen to have the Logitech Spotlight presenter, and it can actually move the mouse cursor, when paired with my iPad Pro. So, it would be really nice if you can build an option to reveal the mouse cursor during the presentation mode if 1) the AssistiveTouch is on and, 2) the mouse was active anytime during last s seconds (so, if the mouse was inactive for s seconds, the cursor would be hidden). Perhaps changing the cursor shape to the laser pointer would be even nicer.
