Make Goodnotes for Mac a universal binary for Intel/Apple Silicon
Considering that Goodnotes is already on iPhone/iPad and the Mac version uses Catalyst, I'm surprised that's it's taking so long to release a Mac universal binary version for the Apple Silicon Macs. What is the timeline for a universal release?

Snap / Aligning feature for Mac version
Love the iPad app for handwriting and the companion Mac version, where I mainly use the text tool. Is it possible to have some helpers for aligning, centering for text box. Thanks

more textboxes default setup
Il love the fact that we can define a default setup for our textboxes. I use it to quickly write important things in red boxes.
Althought it would be great to have 3 or 4 default setup instead of only one.
Thank you !

Kanji paper as draft (for Chinese and Japanese characters)
Implement Kanji paper as draft.
For learning and writing Japanese / Chinese Characters (Kanji), a specific paper is used (see attached img). Implementing this paper style in GoodNote drafts would be great!1 vote -

Connect text and a box
When creating a note in a box and you want to move it, you always have to make sure that your lasso ist around everything. It would be a very useful feature if one could just merge the text and the box togehter so you only have to move the box and the text will automatically be moved with it. Also, you should be able to undo the merging in case you want to edit the text.

Text Color
Make it so that the color of the text stays the same until you change it. If I'm annotating a page in all red text, I don't want to have to change each individual textbox red after typing.

Make a toggle for simplified 'draw to hold' with only regular shapes
I think the 'draw and hold' feature is amazing for putting emphasis on different parts of my notes, but it's always really frustrating when I'm trying to 'box' something but I don't get the lines perfectly perpendicular so the box comes out wonky. I don't even understand why anyone would want to have a rectangle with a wonky diagonal line ever?
My suggestion (which seems in theory to be a really easy to implement update) is another toggle in the 'draw and hold' section where, once toggled, it only allows basic shapes i.e. only rectangles without wonky diagonal sides, maybe…

Slidesorter to structure the storyline of presentation (Improved Thumbnail)
First of all: I love Goodnotes!
Problem: when structuring a PDF presentation/ storyline I'm missing a Slidesorter - similar to Powerpoint. "Thumbnails" already provides a great basis for this, but in horizontal mode (as most presentations), you only see 12 slides with lots of space between the rows and the slides so small that you can't even read the title of the slides.
Proposition: Kill the vertical space b/w the slide rows and add a feature to scale the zoom, i.e. the size of the slides at expense of the number of slides visible.
That would be fantastic and super…

Consistent behavior on copy/paste
The copy/paste from iOS to macOS is an incredible feature, which makes it very easy to create diagrams for slides (e.g., in Keynote) in GoodNotes, but sometimes when copying diagrams that contain handwriting, only the text being recognized is pasted on macOS (instead of the actual image). This is frustrating, especially because it's inconsistent. Can you please fix the copy/paste behavior so that it consistently pastes the image from GoodNotes into the destination Mac application?

Edge printing airprint
Can you fix the issue with edge printing. This is not a problem in GN4! Only in GN5 and is the reason I haven’t changed.
The three images below demonstrate this ongoing issue. The first is the drawing in GN5, the second is the print preview in AirPrint and the third is the actual output.
In GN4, everything is the same except for the output which prints perfectly right to the edge.
Also FYI, the printer is set for A4, the GN settings are for A4 and this happens on every AirPrint printer that I have ever used with GN5…

Synchronize notes live between iOS and macOS
I'd love to be able to work on a note both with a stylus and my desktop/keyboard.
Also this would be super useful to be able to stream the note live, e.g. when screen sharing in a live stream or conference call. I could edit on iPad and simply share my macOS screen.
Currently I work around this by mirroring my iPad screen to macOS, but it's a hassle.

Adjustable viewing size for notes or imported files
The zoom out function is very limited (to fit one notebook page or slide at most) in GoodNotes windows. More options in document viewing size, e.g. a 2-page or 4-slide layout, could facilitate users to review their materials more easily.

Vertical zoom tool while ipad is in landscape mode
Although the zoom tool is great, I don't use it much. I find that it takes up too much screen real-estate while I'm on landscape mode (which is my preferred iPad orientation) while taking notes. Personally, I would use the zoom tool and find it much more ergonomic if the screen was split in half vertically with the left side showing the entire page that can be zoomed in or out of, and the right side would serve as the space for the zoom tool window.
I hope you consider this suggestion GoodNotes team. It would be a game-changer for…

Scrolling with finger shouldn’t move shapes
With the new feature of editing shapes (specifically rectangles idk abt the other ones), when i attempt scroll up or down to a different page in my notebook it moves the rectangle around the page instead of scrolling the paper. Perhaps instead the shape-editing feature you added would toggle when u grabbed only the shape with the lasso tool; I feel that would be much better, and follow intuitively for users as well.

Bugs
- When I want to Ctrl+f a document, I always need to do Ctrl+f and then click on the search window with the mouse, would be easier when I could Ctrl+f and then immediately start typing (like in all other applications)
- Same thing happens when I change font size, when typing. I am always thrown out of the current window and have to open an other one.
