Time keeper with sound or popup
It would be great if the time keeper feature had a sound effect after the timer ends or a popup window appeared. Because when I set the timer and hide it! I always forget I even had it set. :)

font size
It would be great if we have access to the same tools from the textbox in the full page writing, specifically access to fonts and text size.

Eraser
We have two gesture options, squeeze and double tap. I would love to be able to set squeeze to bring up/put away the eraser and double tap to switch between my two most recent tools, but ignore the eraser as an option. That way i can go back and forth between my pen a highlighter without having the erase override one. Example: highlight something, double tap to write with the pen, squeeze to erase a mistake, squeeze to return to pen, double tap to go to highlighter. The highlighter/pen sequence could be totally separate from the eraser function.

Spaced repetition integration for flashcards
I’d love to see spaced repetition integrated directly into the flashcard feature in GoodNotes.
Currently, flashcards are static—you flip them manually without any learning algorithm behind them. If GoodNotes could implement a spaced repetition system (SRS) like Anki or RemNote, it would massively boost its usefulness for students, med students, language learners, and anyone prepping for exams.
Why it matters:
Spaced repetition is proven to improve long-term memory retention. Right now, users have to export their flashcards to other apps to use this method — integrating it natively would keep everything in GoodNotes and streamline the learning process.

The text and the highlight aren't syncing correctly from computer to iPad.
(Screenshot) Basically if I highlight/write on my iPad it won't show aligned on my computer but the stuff I do my computer will show correct on my computer only. Is very frustrating, it keeps happening and it happened on my friends goodnotes too!

Search function in learn cards
I am currently summarizing 400 pages of slides for my studies on Learn sets and learning with the smart learn. Unfortunately, I'm missing a mega important feature: I can't search my learning sets to see whether I've already recorded topics or questions or whether I still need to record them. A search function for the learning sets would be very essential here.
Hopefully, this shouldn't be too much effort, so that I can search within my flashcards.5 votes -
pen color on split screen
I use split screen a lot, and I find it annoying that when I change the color of the pen and then return to the full screen, the slot has changed color. I want to be able to switch throughout the colors like I do in full screen.

Within image annotation lasso movements
Issues
1) Within image annotation misalignment after cropping or scaling the image
When an image is cropped or scaled after annotations (e.g., underlines or highlights) have been added, the positions of those annotations become misaligned. For example, underlined text on an image may no longer align correctly after resizing. Can the developer team ensure that cropping or scaling operations preserve the relative position of existing annotations. A good analogy to this is a stick note, where resizing the sticky note shouldn't affect where the illustrations on top of the sticky note is positioned.2) Lasso Tool affects entire image and…

extending pdf
In Note+ or other apps, they can extend the page by adding some space on the left or right. Personally, our professor talks a lot and I need a lot of space to take notes on. So, if you make a feature of extending more space to the pdf page, I would really appreciate it. I'll upload the file of the Note+ app.

Erase over tape
The new tape feature is great, however I would like to be able to write over it to see if my answers match. I know it is possible to write on tape but it’s impossible to erase it without erasing notes underneath. Please make it so that I can erase text that is only above the tape.

Option to Disable Margins in Horizontal Mode
It would be really helpful to have a toggle in the settings that allows users to turn off the default margins when viewing PDFs in horizontal (landscape) mode.
At the moment, horizontal view automatically adds greyed-out margins on either side of the document, which reduces the amount of space available for writing or annotating. This isn't the case in vertical mode, where the document fills the screen edge-to-edge.
Having the option to disable these margins would:
Maximize the usable screen area
Make PDFs easier to annotate or edit
Provide a cleaner, distraction-free full-screen view
For users working on small screens…
