LOWER price for goodnotes 6 for non-included-languages.
The new Woodnotes 6 is packed with great functionality. For some people.
as a user who primarily (99%) writes in my native Swedish language, the experience has actually gotten worse (GN6 interpret my Swedish as wrongfully written English and tries to change it).
Why do I have to pay extra for a worse product?
Please offer a version without the language-dependent features for a reduced cost. I have supported GN for a VERY long time, but this makes me feel scammed. Other features that are non-language dependent are making GN6 worth an upgrade, but it's not fair that I have to pay the same.
Goodnotes is of course not the only services that does this, treat a few select languages better, and make everyone pay. I pay 100s of euros/usd for functionality that I can't use every month. that's not fair.

Exporting as PDF
Do you know what the most frustrating thing about Goodnotes is? EXPORT TO PDF!!
When you export to PDF the filename is hidden behind the IPad keyboard!!!
Can you PLEASE for the love of God fix this? It was there in Goodnotes 5 and it's still there in Goodnotes 61 vote -
Forgot Password Options
I am silly and forgot my password, I can still access what I have locked using Touch ID but would really appreciate the ability to reset a forgotten password so I can continue using the feature for other notebooks!

Linkable sections and content that can be added to outline
Right now it is only possible to add an entire page to the Custom Outline or create a link to an entire page.
It would critically enhance productivity if users were able to select some parts of the notebook and add it as a section in the outline, or create a link to a specific section or line of text.
It should be possible to for instance mark some content such as handwritten text, an image, an Element, a Textbox etc. and either add it to the outline with a customized name, or create a link to some content.
Personally, this would really help using GoodNotes especially for studying. It would help sort and organize the notes, allowing for quick lookup of a certain section of the notes. This is very useful for very long and extensive notebooks.
The ability to link to specific content within the same notebook or in another notebook would also provide the ability to mark key words or concepts and allow easy lookup of the definition/description of said key concepts.
As a further improvement, such links could be opened in a pop-up in the current notebook to not disturb the overall flow of note reviews.

Study materials created in Goodnotes 6 - promotion and cooperation
Hello,
I have an idea on how to promote Goodnotes 6 more through social media. This would allow us to engage a wider audience of students and their parents. I am a chemical technology engineer and have been tutoring math online for 15 years. I have been using the Goodnotes app for tutoring for several years and have been very satisfied. I have recently started recording short tutorial videos in maths, chemistry and science which I create exclusively in the Goodnotes app6. The videos would be suitable to promote Goodnotes on TikTok or Instagram or Facebook. I think that in today's dynamic times, when tablets and other electronic tools are starting to enter the classroom, it would be very interesting to promote quality teaching materials on your app - so students would always associate the Goodnotes app with electronic handwritten materials. If you are interested in my offer, please contact me.
I believe that this collaboration could take the Goodnotes app a step further and connect notepad with quality knowledge.I’m attaching 1 video to give you an idea - format, details and content are up for discussion.
And the second idea, I miss a circle compass for teaching :-)
Sincerely Skuhrovcová

Pencil options
Please add scribble to erase and lasso to move as options to the pencil. For some reason the pencil seems to write more clearly than the fountain pen even with stroke stabilization, it’s just missing the scribble and lasso. Thanks.

Being able to switch answer and question in studyset to improve studying
Sometimes you need to know the answer and the Question or the technical Term. It would be helpful being able switching it instead of having to make an extra studyset. You could always switch it back.

Ability to attach timer to a specific item)s) on a pqge
I use Goodnotes to create, track and make notes for my guitar practice sessions.
One of the learning methods proven effective for adult learning is “interleaving”: choosing 2 or more practice objectives and spending a short defined time alternating and/or rotating through each item in a defined time period (eg. 5 minutes per item).
The ability to attach a timer (appt watch and / or count down) to each item on my practice sheet to set the target time and record ye actual time spent on each item. Displaying the time on the notes page vs in the timer widget would be required.
I can also imagine this use case to be helpful for teaching and learning most anything.
Thank you for a terrific app and for your consideration.

Give an option to control rolling pages
I found that in the newest version, when rolling pages horizontally, if my finger slides fast, next page will automatically adapted(i.e. next page’s top will align to the top of screen), I felt uncomfortable with this feature sometimes and I want an option to switch it off.

1 vote -
Automatic Outline creation with lasso tool
Using the lasso tool, when I select a title I could make it a heading, subtitle or subheading & the app would automatically recognize it and show it in the outlines tab.

Tables in Notebooks, Whiteboard
I would really appreciate it if you could make it possible to add tables to good notes. It would be very helpful, i don’t want to draw it all the time.

Add Markdown support
There is no note-taking app out there that supports both handwritten notes and typed notes. By adding the keyboard feature, Goodnotes has taken a first step towards becoming an all-rounder app. The only problem is that the keyboard feature can't compete with apps like Obsidian or Notion, as it is extremely time consuming to format the text. So far, it is only suitable for aesthetic reasons, but is not practically usable. By adding support for Markdown, Goodnotes would finally have the first hybrid all-rounder solution for notes.
I attached some examples of how it could look like implemented.

Topic views
I think it would be great if it was possible to create different “views” for different topics on the same document. My ideal scenario is reading academic articles and looking for different types of information in my notes. I would like to select one or more of these categories so that only notes that have been taken in them will be visible.
Eg: document on how to use an algorithm to solve a specific practical problem
Different views:
- “Practical problem”: all the notes and highlights on the practical constraints and similar problems that have been tagged with “practical problem”
- “Algorithm ideas”: all the notes and highlights on the algorithm that is proposed that have been tagged with “algorithm idea”
- “Alternative approaches”: all the notes and highlights on the cited approaches from other works and what their limits were, that have been tagged with “alternative approaches”And so on.
I hope this is clear. I currently make a small legend on top of the article, mapping highlighter color to topics, but sometimes I would like to see only a subset of them.
