Link Navigation Made Easier
Currently, if I upload a PDF file that has links in it (for instance, the table of contents), when I press the link, it will automatically take me to the page I selected. However, there is no way for me to go back immediately to the previous page I was on; this is cumbersome, as I work with laws and often have to jump back and forth between addendums, and having to manually navigate back to the page (or try to remember what page number I was on) is less than ideal.
Noteful has a system that works similar to this, and Kindle has had a "return to previous page" function for a very long time as well. I believe such a feature would be incredibly useful and easy to integrate.

Allow users to change the template of all pages in a notebook at once
Many times I am comfortable in writing on squared paper template but when I have to print some particular notes on plain pages then I have to change template from squared paper to blank paper paper for each page which takes total of 4 steps. To do this for hundreds of pages is very difficult

Password Protect Folder
I would love to be able to password protect folders that need to be kept private. I keep all my private information in folders so even if only the folders could be password or passcode protected it would be very helpful

Text box duplication
Why does the text box duplicate so easily. It’s aggravating. It should ONLY duplicate with a long press and then selecting the option.
Every time I try to move these stupid boxes they duplicate. It’s wasted time.

Add a setting that allows users to adjust the size of Thumbnails
Hi team
I use GoodNotes like a Trapper Keeper from the 80’s so I have a lot of notebooks with dividers.
However, when I am looking at all my thumbnails (especially in Split View) they seem too small when i’m using my iPad Pro 11”. See the attachment.
It would be really useful if there was a setting ora pinch to zoom feature so that the thumbnails could be made bigger.

Option to convert typed text into handwritten notes.
It would be great to have an option to convert typed text to handwritten notes in your writing style using AI. This could be available in the select bar above the text field when you press on it, with a button labeled Convert to Handwritten Notes.

Double-Tap to Switch Line Styles
It would be great to have a feature where double-tapping on the pen thickness icon lets users seamlessly toggle between line styles, such as solid, dashed and dotted. Instead of having to open the context menu.

Make the function of short-answer question
I suggest the function of short-answer questions. Currently, I know that there is the function "study set", but we can pass a question despite we didn't memorize it accurately. So, it can be prohibited by make the type of question of "short-answer question".
More specific form is as below.
Form of the document is same with the study set. However, the method which it tests us will become "short-answer questions". Only if we write the accurate answer, we can pass to the next question. If we don't know about the answer, click the 'answer' button, then we can see the answer. But at this moment, we can't input the answer. Signature box
Make a sign here box that when applied to a template and I click it then it can bring up a window to sign on screen which is applied to the page. It would be helpful for business.

Advanced searching and indexing with AI
Enhanced search functionality with LLMs that can recognize handwritten notes, keywords, and phrases, and provide results even from scanned text. These LLMs should be capable of searching things with Natural written things in sentence in the search bar of GoodNotes, such like these example for photos from Apple in the Picture. So it understands the Context of what you are searching for. You can search with natural language.

Tapes to hide content - right now if the app crashes or refreshes, the tapes you’ve taken off to quiz yourself reset and hide the content again
- suggestion- A button to manually reset the tapes that way you know what content to revisit rather than losing all your progress
Index words on pictures- right now if you screenshot a document and upload it into good notes, the words on the picture aren’t searchable
- Suggestion- being able to search words on images
AI quiz questions-right now if you do multiple quizzes on a document, the AI repeats the same questions unless you specify a different page range
- suggestion- no AI quiz question repeats, refresh questions every time. Also, the AI credits should only be used up when you give the AI a new prompt rather than with every question.
Color of search keyword - right now the default color that highlights keywords when searching a document is orange
- suggestion- being able to change the highlight color of searched words
These suggestions will make graduate school finals preparation much easier as I have to have multiple documents open at a time and quiz myself.

Expanding Flash Card & Improvement
I really enjoy using these flashcards for anatomy and the tape feature to cover diagrams. I wished I could send links to my friends so we can collaborate on flashcards like we can documents. We frequently are able to work on pre-labs together, but cant flash cards.

Links inside Sticky Notes
The same functionality that exists for linking inside of a textbox should exist within the sticky note function, but there is no "link" function when you select a word in a sticky note. I would love for that functionality to be added.

I’m running GoodNotes 6 on my iPad (latest version) and have purchased the “All Platforms – Yearly” subscription (renewal date: May 15, 2025) through my Google account. My Windows app correctly shows that I’m signed in with the same account and my subscription type.
However, on the iPad under Settings ▶ Cloud & Backup, I only see the iCloud Sync toggle. I have:
Disabled iCloud Sync
Signed out and signed back in (using my Google account)
Confirmed I’m on the latest GoodNotes 6 release
…yet the GoodNotes Cloud option never appears. As a result, I cannot enable automatic sync between my iPad and Windows devices.
Could you please grant me access to the iOS Pilot Program or advise how to unlock the GoodNotes Cloud toggle so that cross-platform syncing works as expected? Thank you for your assistance.

Feedback on Usability Limitations in GoodNotes for Apple Pencil and Touch Gestures
'm a paid GoodNotes user and generally enjoy using it, but there are a few usability issues that make the experience less efficient.
There's no way to undo with a single two-finger tap, so quickly erasing even a couple of strokes takes multiple steps. Double-tapping the Apple Pencil always switches to the eraser instead of toggling between tools, and these gestures can't be customized, which limits flexibility.
Accidental finger touches sometimes delete notes or trigger the paste popup while writing, which breaks the flow. Also, with the Apple Pencil Pro, using the squeeze gesture to access the lasso tool isn’t practical since it’s buried in the toolbar. The eraser is also too large for precise edits.
Unless these gesture and tool customization options improve, I may consider switching to another note-taking app—even though I’ve already paid for GoodNotes.
