Simulate Handwriting in Digital Notes for Printing
In many exam settings, students are allowed to bring handwritten notes but not digitally written ones, even if created with a stylus on a tablet. To address this, I’m looking for a solution that makes digital notes look convincingly handwritten when printed.
What I’m looking for:
A pencil/brush tool with a slight grain, natural imperfections, and subtle color variation within a stroke — something that mimics real pencil or pen handwriting.
Alternatively, a filter or export option that can be applied to a digital notebook (e.g., on an iPad) to make the final printout resemble authentic handwritten notes.

[Tape] Enable Tape in Study Sets
Enable the ‚Tape‘ tool for study sets as well. It is super helpful but can currently not be used in practice mode, the option to make the tape transparent does not work there.

Making accessibility from one notebook to another easy (Accessibility & Sorting)
So every time I've to choose a different notebook from a different document I'm being forced to exit my current notebook and go to documents and find my new notebook which makes the accessibility hard.
In such case as we can see below OneNote by Microsoft has made it easier.
As far as I know, this could be the only thing that Goodnotes lacks as of now.2 votes -

It would be great if you could load templates and stickers purchased in the shop directly into the template option (not just one page but all items that were purchased). It would also be very useful for stickers if they would simply appear in the sticker menu.

Heat
Hi there. I have been using the goodnote 6 for a year and since then i havent been facing issues nor errors. I was on holiday for a month and i didnt use the app and after a month i updated to the latest version through app store and now i face heating and battery drainage problems. My ipad pro 2022 gets very hot after approximately 10 mins using idly. There is no such problem with my MBP neither iphone. It is only the ipad problem. Please fix this ASAP

[Tape] Score Taped Items for Active Recall
Being able to mark and keep score of items you have taped whether you remembered it correctly or forgot it. Its like keeping track of items in your notes that you remember accurately and also seeing parts where you forgot. Its like a feature for active recalling that you can directly do on your notes with the tape without having to retype it in a flashcard.

Changing thickness of writing with lasso tool
I hope the Lasso tool could change the thickness of the writing. Currently we could change the color, but at times we need the thickness to separate titles from body text that we couldn't do when we are busy taking notes. This could help the note review process slightly more efficient.

Retain an active lasso tool when copy/pasting text
When using the lasso tool to cut/copy-paste images, pen, highlighter and shapes the lasso tool remains active after the desired paste action has been completed.
When the lasso tool is used to perform the same cut/copy-paste function for text, once the text has been pasted the laso tool is dropped in favour of the text tool.
Can the lasso tool remain the dominant feature after moving text please? I find myself inadvertently entering punctuation into the middle of text because the tool has defaulted without being actioned to do so

keyboard shortcut for laser pointer
There should be a keyboard shortcut for the Laser Pointer tool in GoodNotes. There are other keyboard shortcuts for pen, highlighter,,. but why is the Laser Pointer the only one without it?" Please add one as soon as possible.

Lock shapes to grid
It would be amazing for technical sketching if shapes would lock to the grid when either drawing or using the lasso tool. Additionally the circle shape should have their handles for resizing on the top, bottom, left and right (always) instead of somewhere random. A „snap to center“ option would be also great, so you could e.g. center one circle within another one easily.

I’d like to share a recurring issue I’ve been experiencing, along with a suggestion that could significantly improve the user experience.
I usually work with notebooks in vertical (portrait) format, which fits best with my study and workflow preferences. However, when I import a PDF created in PowerPoint (which typically has a horizontal/landscape layout), Goodnotes automatically changes the entire notebook’s format to horizontal, while still keeping the original vertical page size centered on the screen.
