Feedback for the support site
I know this might sound weird, but if I find that something on the support site isn't working properly, what should I do to report the issue? There's nothing in the "Please select the main component that is causing problems" field that I see relevant.
I recently filed a request on the support site and found that my request status was marked as 'solved'.

Function allowing permanent toggling "custom outline/PDF outline" for outline filter within notebooks
I have been a Goodnotes user for over 5 years, and it is currently my primary note-taking app for my studies in medical school. I have recently noticed a small redundancy that I believe can make the user experience a lot smoother if a slight improvement is made. When accessing the outlines within a notebook composed of imported PDFs, there are both custom outlines and auto-imported PDF outlines. As is the case with many students, the PDF outlines are often cluttered and sometimes irrelevant, so custom outlines are instead used to divide the various subsections (eg. lectures) within a notebook.…

There is an issue with my iPad where when handwirting with the apple pencil, the last thing I write erases without me doing anything.
Because there is no way to contact your company, I am putting my issue here.
The newest version has an issue on my iPad that while handwriting with the apple pencil, portions of my writing erases without me changing pencil types. If I use the redo button, it will back up to what I just wrote. I have all the latest updates of the app and iPad installed.2 votes -

The dot grid spacing increased and is way too large now. Would love an option to increase/decrease spacing between dots.
I like the dot grid because it’s more subtle than the squared grid, but unfortunately the dot grid is huge now and it sucks! I’d like to submit an idea to have the dot spacings be adjustable. This would be nice to have for the graphed and lined paper as well!

Please fix the syncing issues over iCloud
GoodNotes takes forever to Sync updated documents between two devices, forever being several hours. This contradicts the entire functionality. Had this problem with several different devices and versions (since several years).
I find it infuriating that I am forced to update Goodnotes and pay money again and again and this issue is still not fixed.4 votes -

Vertical Writing and Typing
I am using this application in Japanese.
Japanese has horizontal writing (top left to right) , like English, etc., and vertical writing (top right to bottom). Currently, it is very difficult to input text in vertical writing mode, so I would like you to add a ruled note for vertical writing. Also, if possible, we would appreciate it if you could add support for input mode.
Please implement this in the Goodnote Shop, even if it is sold for a fee.5 votes -
Local cloud
Not sure if anyone has suggested this. I am using Goodnotes on both my Mac and iPad. It takes quite a while for the notes to sync between the 2 devices. And sometimes it does not even sync. It would be good if Goodnotes can use Mac as a local cloud server, and notes can be synced seamlessly.

Combine intersecting shapes / erase up to intersection eraser
It would be awesome if when I drew two rectangles using the shape tool, Goodnotes could recognize one of the shapes has an intersecting border with the other one, and combine the two shapes while just keeping the exterior borders.
Or, instead of automatically recognizing the intersections, create an "erase up to intersection" option for the eraser specifically for shapes.
This could also be used to create a wider variety of shapes without having to program in recognition algorithms for semi circles, plus signs, ect.

Custom side buttons on a Surface Pen
Hello, good note developers.
I'm a good note user of Windows.
I'm currently using Surface Pro, and I'm using the third generation of Surface Pen. Currently, the Good Note for Windows supports the noose function with a side button. Please make it possible to customize the function of the side button. Side buttons can be customized with various functions such as changing an eraser, changing a pen type, and changing color, not a snare. I really like the ability to use the eraser on the back. convert to text
Like convert to math, make it possible to convert a selection of even a whole page and convert it directly to a textbox with typed text.

flashcard
It would be good to be able to search in the flashcard document to make sure you don't have a duplicate flashcard.
If you have flashcard documents for different topics of one subject you cannot duplicate these into one bigger document to learn the whole subject in one sitting. At the moment you need to type every card again if you want the same card in a new document

Select Button
From what I remember, before one of the last updates, the select button was in the toolbar. Its a bit of a pain (ok a big pain for me) when I have scrolled down halfway through the files on my iPad and then now need to scroll up to the top to hit the select button to move, copy, etc. files. It should always be on the screen when in the folder management sections of the app.
