1. New to ipad, had to test GoodNotes5 against Notability

   Sorry, i really think that good notes was the best app overall to writing and using as notebook, but there's so much more user friendly features in notability that i cant live without.. and i used both apps arround the same time. Ill say the features you could had to make this app simply perfect:
   — the lack of a dark theme unless we get system wide dark mode is a bummer as i find your dark theme pretty good but i hate to use ios in dark mode
   — the tool bar has too many items and takes valuable space from the screen, mainly if we are landscape. Could use the top bar wheres the document title to integrate the toolbar there and the title of the document would be somewhere else, again, notability does this perfectly
   — the lack of auto straight lines and geometric figures after a long press is really one of those dealbreakers.. i know you have the tool for that, but that tool is simply too simple, you cant edit the figures properly and you cant interact 2 circles and make them have the same center and change the radius of each one, or move just one corner of a triangle , etc.. this is THE FEATURE you should really really copy from notability, and its the real dealbreaker for me
   — The design of the folders is pretty boring and i know you could make something way more modern and less techie.. those blue archivers are clearly not the best looking folder icons you can use, and while at it, plz let us change its colours so we can set different colours to different content of the folder.. would be easier to use, like university folders at green, stuff at blue, job at orange, etc...

   And than off course there are something youre just doing brilliantly and making me want to come back to this
   — first is the templates implementations. I simply love the cheer quantity of templates you give but better yet, the best of all is the ability to creat our owns and use them! I made some with my sweet spot of number of line per sheet and different colours, i love this
   — 2nd the file system you use is soo great. Folders and files are still the best way to organize everysingle thing, so nice job.
   — 3rd, your palm rejection is soo much better than the one notability has... every time i rest my hand on the screen, in notability it jumps, changes the zoom, etc, but in GoodNotes, it never happens!! I set it to my most used hand position and sensitivity to medium and it works flawlessly!
   — One of the coolest things you have is the auto-deselect the eraser as soon as you lift the pencil. It simply makes all sense when paired with pencil2 double tap to eraser

3. Toolbar palm rejection/change position

   I usually write notes using the zoomed window at the top of the iPad because I consider more comfortable to rest my wrist on the glass than on the border of the tablet. Due to this position, I often tap the color/thickness/undo/redo/new page controls with my wrist. Could it be possible to have both the zoom window and the toolbar at the top or maybe near the zoom window’s one, or to have a touch rejection feature that disables the toolbar when the Pencil or the wrist are touching the screen?

4. Choose documents for device or cloud

   I wish to be able to choose which documents to share to devices, and which to leave in the clouds. I want my planner on my phone and iPad, but I don’t need my notes from work on my iPad.

5. Sync with Google Drive (not Auto-backup)

   My intended primary use for Goodnotes is to markup PDFs. These PDFs are already organised in Google Drive, and I would like to edit these files directly (rather than having the edited versions saved elsewhere).

   Add a filter to show only pages with annotations in the document.
   That way we could only export pages with annotations .

7. Notebooks shortcuts

   I want to be able to add shortcuts to certain notebooks so I can get to them faster. I know I can use stars but then they are all in the same location. I want to add shortcuts in different folders.

8. Keyboard shortcut for PEN SIZE

   Add a keyboard shortcuts to change the pen size.
   Consider "Cmd -" and "Cmd =" as done in many apps for text size

9. Allow zoom out in lasso

   When pinching the page to zoom out, lasso selection is removed.
   I want to be able to zoom out in lasso mode while keeping the selection. This is actually possible if I first select resize. Then I can zoom out and keep the selection. Pls allow the same in lasso.

10. Support PageUp and PageDown Buttons (on Macintosh extended Keyboards)

    Unlike MacOS Preview GoodNotes for MacOS (version 5.4.14) does not seem to support navigation using PageUp and PageDown Buttons (on Macintosh extended Keyboards like with an iMac Pro). It would be good if GoodNotes for MacOS had a more intuitive navigation which would render it more seamless to migrate from Preview to GoodNotes. Thx.

12. Low data usage mode

    Low data usage mode for Automatic Backups on external cloud providers (Google Drive, Microsoft Onedrive...). Sometimes these servers don't allow constant updates and may cause problems on the already existing backups. Low data usage mode, when enabled, will only summit changes to those servers every day (for example). This will reduce cellular data and battery usage, as well as problems with service providers

    As my screenshot shows, my Student Onedrive provided by my University cannot handle constant updates from GoodNotes 5, so my backups keep stuck with that error message.

    Not sure if every one experience this errors (i tested my personal Google drive afterwards and worked fine), but Low data usage mode has other benefits too like i mentioned earlier

13. Date-Name option and to organize Folders

    My idea goes about the Date-Name option that we have to organize Folders and Docs. In my case it’s useful to organize my folders in Name mode, but inside my folders I usually create documents with Dates as their name. I wonder if you can develop the possibility to order like folders with one option (ie Name) and inside the folder order docs by date. Thanks and I’m enjoying GoodNotes 5 very much.

14. Bug: Switching Color In Text Typing Mode

    It doesn't always let me switch color when typing. If I switch to a different color in text mode, it always switches back to the previous color I used. Please fix this!!!

15. Slide over for folder access

    It would be great to be able to slide over from the left of my iPad and see the folder navigation, to easy open another notebook. OneNote does this very well. candidly their folder structure is the one inferior part of onenote and gives me daily anxiety about using GoodNotes - which I love otherwise.

17. Adjust Page Width for Imported Pages

    When importing pages from an external PDF it would be great to adjust the page width so that unnecessary zooming can be avoided (and scrolling through a file is made easier). See problem also in the attached picture.

18. Document hierarchy improvement

    Okay so they did hierarchy but its kind of a pain to navigate. If you have many folders and are in one of the deeper folders you must keep pressing the back button until you get to your desired document. There should be a menu button (for instance near the Bookmarks button) that could be accessed to easily get from one document to another.

    Red sheet is unique to Japanese vocabulary books. As you know from the video, if you can use this sheet, it is definitely way easier to memorize various things such as vocabulary.

20. Changing color palette in context menu based on selected tool

    As there are different color palettes for the pens and the highlighter, it would be great if the colors displayed when selecting „change color“ over the context menu would adapt to the currently used tool.
    Currently it always displays the color palette from the pens.
