Writing academic papers for text documents
One thing I would love to see, since text documents are now way better than before, is a better support for academic papers. It at least looks like it doesn't support a table of contents, sources and a few more. Microsoft Office is now no longer free here in Germany for new and old students due to the government's decision to no longer use Office and I believe this is now I big opportunity to help us. I guess this is also pretty cool for every other students ww to have everything in one place.

Can you add a page continuity feature in your notes? Sometimes it can be very inconvenient to use your single page design. I hope you can add a page continuity feature in your page management, whether it's taking notes or viewing PDF files

Simultaneous handwriting Input for study set Sheets
Currently, it’s not possible to write on both the question and answer sheets at the same time when the tablet is in vertical mode. This means I have to switch between them, by clicking the “Edit” button, which makes it hard to see and edit both simultaneously. If we could keep both sheets open and editable at the same time, it would be much easier to compare and modify them quickly.

Autoplay Flashcards
I play guitar and I want an autoplay feature for the flashcards. You see the term, I play the chord, and then it flips so I can see if the hand placement is correct. The flashcards already shuffle so I can practice the chords at random but this way I can practice hands free. It would also help those who want to hear phrases in the background for language learning if there was an audio function.

S-pen button = undo
I’d like to suggest a feature that would greatly improve the experience for users with an SPen:
Could you please add an option to customize the SPen button action?
For example, instead of always switching to the eraser tool, it would be very useful if we could assign the button to perform an Undo action.This would speed up the workflow and match how some other apps handle the SPen button.
I believe many Samsung tablet users would appreciate this added flexibility.Thank you for considering this request and for your great work on

Embed PDF as a clickable miniature in notes
Hi there!
I’m a long-time GoodNotes user and I’d love to suggest a feature: the ability to embed PDFs or documents as tappable miniatures inside an existing page, not as new notebooks.This feature already exists in Apple’s Freeform app, and it’s incredibly useful for organizing study materials or combining notes with reference files.
I believe many users would appreciate this option. Thanks for considering!

zoom in/out feature and front/back deck on same page
1)Currently , when we review flashcards , we cannot zoom in/out . So this makes it difficult sometimes to view photos/ handwritten text because it appears very small.
2) Instead of showing the answer by flipping the flashcard , make the answer appear on the same page so that we can see the question and the answer at the same time .
3) If we want to add long answers to the flashcard , the space seems a bit less . so allow us to add multiple pages in a single flashcard .1 vote -
Ability to Mass Import and Edit Elements/Stickers
The options for organizing, editing, and adding elements/stickers are very limited and are missing several basic functions of any file organization system. When editing collections, I think it would make more sense to stay in the element overview UI, instead of popping out a smaller window with the same sticker inside. Options for editing should include a “select multiple” option, so that instead of each sticker having a circle button for quick deletion, you can select multiple first and then choose to mass delete, create new collection, move to new collection (which is not an option either), change the order…

Mass Edit/Selection Option for Textboxes
As of now, if I want to edit the style of multiple textboxes (such as the box border color/width and background), I can only edit the color of the text when using the lasso tool and then selecting “style”. I like to use textboxes to make color coded labels, but without the ability to mass edit, I have to change the color of the textbox manually before saving to elements. Adding textbox edit options in the “style” option would be helpful, and adding the ability to save my own textbox presets would be nice as well.

better autodetect writing
Once I´m done writing with Apple Pencil several paragraphs it takes several clicks (select, convert, etc) to make it text, it would be awesome if I can do it like many other apps just immediately just finish a sentence, double click on it and it will make it text

windows app NEEDS to run as its own app.
Fix windows app and make it run NOT through edge. There is no reason that IOS should have so many more features and run so much smoother, even on older, less powerful hardware. It makes the experience TERRIBLE and is honestly unacceptable for a paid app in 2025. Disappointed that I already paid for a year of this laggy crap.

Partial space taken up above
The part of the list of open documents takes up too much space.
Basically, the top part wastes more space than necessary.
It would be nice to be able to adjust the width of the top bar part to be shorter in the settings.[The sentence may be strange because of the use of a translator].

Make page centering an option in settings instead of mandatory.
Automatic page centering is visually pleasing, yes. However, page centering (meaning you are unable to zoom anywhere you want to (for example, having 70% space and 30% page on your screen)) is very impractical. It means you have to move your arm and wrist around to the very left of your device and then to the very right when writing full pages. This is not only very tedious and strenuous on muscles, but it is also genuinely very annoying to deal with.
Make page centering or realignment an option, there's a reason why most, if not all, drawing programs don't…

Same folder in more than one place
In folder A there is a document on the brain
In folder B I can also access and see the same document on the brain

Is the Android version of the app fully developed now?

I have a Samsung Tab S6 Lite 2022 and I'm currently using Samsung Notes for my school notes, but I miss a reliable way to measure and draw lines of specific angles and lengths, as well as a tool to draw circkes of a specific radius. I've seen some other students use GoodNotes on iPads and they seem to have a ruler (I'm not sure for the "circle with radius" thing but I think they also have that).
Also, Samsung Notes does really bad at supporting portrait orientation, which I saw from the iPad users should be usable even…

Grab tool - page navigation
Goodnotes has been a great tool to help me mark up and organize pdfs and other files for school, The only thing that I have noticed it missing is a simple grab tool. As in when you're zoomed in on a pdf file, a tool that would allow me to click and drag to change position within the page.
Similar to the Adobe suite, when you hold space you can click and drag to a different position within the page. Adding this would make make it perfect!
