  2. When I want to listen to a specific part on my document, instead of skipping through the recording by myself until I find it. I could just click on the text I’ve written while I recorded that part, and Goodnotes would automatically skip to the part and start playing the recording.
I hope that makes sense, it’s just like notability. I know a lot of people who would switch to Goodnotes if that feature is available.

  3. I have many e-books saved in a folder called "Books" on Goodnotes. When I edit a new topic, I create a new folder. There I want to create a link for the relevant saved books so that I don't have to copy everything into the new folder (like the shortcut in Windows Explorer).

  4. Goodnotes outdoes every other note taking app and is hands down my favorite BUT I keep going back to Apple Notes because I just love how the calligraphy pen/pressure just flows and writes amazing!

Please update the pens to offer better pressure and writing. Please add better options! Please make the fountain pen to be more like Apple Notes. I just don’t feel any of the options you guys offer allow for appealing daily writing for notes and journaling.

If Apple Notes offered everything you did I would delete the Goodnotes app just alone for the pen/writing options.

  6. As I do not need the reminder to learn old study sets of the past semester, I would really look forward to establishing the possibility to deactivate study sets with regards to smart learning. Otherwise I always have to delete my studysets to get no notification any more.

  7. Add a button in the Bar at the top, similar to the pen layout. There is tons of empty space and the only button gives a short explanation on how to use it. There could easily be a button to convert to text, math, copy, paste, etc. Instead you have to click through the menu that pops up by holding with your finger, requiring you to drop the pen etc. This would improve workflow and is an easy implementation. Seems like forgoten feature.

  8. I would love if there was an option, when importing a PDF, to import it with a standardized and beautiful style, with text formatting, spacing, etc., sort of like Omnivore or Kindle. It would make reading PDFs on GoodNotes so much nicer of an experience. You could go even further and have options to increase text, change the color background, etc., like you can on the Kindle app.

  10. Now that the customizable taskbar update has been released, it would be useful to have the ability to resize/adjust the length of the taskbar sections left and right in order to make room for more or less tools and colors. That way instead of having a user scroll through a bunch of colors, they can just adjust the section bar to the left to reveal more of their color palette.
[Similarly to how Window PC taskbars have the “bars” that adjust icons left and right.]

It would also be great to have an option to lock the adjustments as well.

  11. I am using the notecards feature to study a different language. There are (4) features that would help me greatly. 1 - having multi-language support. 2 - being able to search my notecards (couldn't figure this out on Mac but needed to correct a word that I'd misspelled). 3 - In setting up my notecards, it would have been great to have a side by side option where I could look at my old notes while creating new (I eventually just opened two windows). 4 - Reverse test. It's great to know the words from one language to the other…

  12. It helps to know if you see the number of the Flash Card when in Practice Mode.

And maybe add a feature, where one can categorise the flash cards when in practice mode. Sure, Uncertain, Don't know. This would help when reviewing a lot of flashcards so that if one only want to study the flash cards in chapter 3 that one can not memorise that well and not spend time on the ones one already knows.

I have a bachelor's degree in biology and it would be very practical for mathematical formulas!

  14. When using keyboard function on the menu bar I can only change the style and formatting to the pre-set styles. I would like to have the ability to change Font size, Font style (Helvatica, Arial, etc.) I can do this on the Pen menu but not on the keyboard menu.

  15. As someone who relies on color coding for studying and uses GoodNotes on multiple devices, it‘s incredibly annoying to manage the colors for the pencil and highlighters on each and every device, as these things aren‘t synched with the cloud.

A solution would be synching the tools or maybe accounts where you can create a custom set ups of tools and colors to use

  17. There are notifications inside the Goodnotes app which tell you when the app thinks it is time for you to review your study sets. I would like these notifications to trigger push notifications outside of the app, on my iPhone Lock Screen and in the Notification Centre.

  19. Allow a sidebar menu link to allow opening a document from recent history across devices.

Useful when we don’t want to save it as a favourite but have opened in another device and want to pick up from where you left.

  20. You can choose to make the toolbar on the left or the right of the screen instead of solely at top or bottom. That way I can make the most out of screen real estate (especially when using my iPad on landscape mode) and let me hand use the entire top of the screen as well. As a right-handed person this would be useful as I don't need to use the left side of the screen as much
