Better shape drawing
I am studying electrical engineering and i have to draw a lot of shapes and i struggle with the drawing of rectangles and lines a lot because they never seem to align where i want them to be. Often rectangles are made into circles because i drew them to quick and so on. I wish there was a feature like OneNote where i can just drag a rectangle into the note and resize it. Arrows at the end of then line seems to work randomly and not graduated.
Because of all of this I am constantly looking for other note taking apps because its such a struggle. I just come back for the great interface and writing experience.

Resizing Based on Corners, Not Center
Suggestion: Have the opposite corner as the pivot point when adjusting the size (how all document editors have it)
Currently: Center of the image as the pivot point.
Reasoning: To adjust images to the same size as the one next to it without having to constantly reposition the item

Handwritten paragraph reorganizing
It would be really cool if you combineed your handwriting recognition with your typing tool. Do stuff like intending lines of handwritten notes, or left justifying your handwritten notes after the fact. (I know you can use the lasso, but sometimes it gets tedious)

insert subscript as well as superscript in text box
I find that to hold ctrl and double press I, the next character is typed in the form of subscript, but these features are not mention anywhere. Can you make a cheatsheet of goodnotes for keyboard?

Better keyboard Shortcut
Keyboard shortcut was introduced quite awhile now, but a major problem has show up.
Currently situation:
P = Pencil
E = Eraser
L = Lasso
S = ShapesThe major problem it’s the keys from each other are too far away, making impossible to use it naturally while handwriting at same time.
So I suggest a better shortcut, just like notability (Or another way)
Exemple:
Cmd+1 = Pencil
Cmd+2 = Eraser
Cmd+3 = Lasso
And so on.9 votes -

Add option to choose how long you must hold your stroke for the new perfect shape feature
I love the new perfect shape feature. However as a maths student I mosty want to use it to make straight lines for fractions or square roots and I feel like you need to hold down the stroke for too long before it is straightened. I disrupts my writing flow and I feel like allowing users to set the delay (50% faster or slower maybe) would improve the app while keeping it simple enough to use. (the option could be hidden in a menu)

Hidden Pages
Be able to hide pages. ie we have the same meeting every week and do not need to see the notes from weeks ago, but would like to easily reference them if necessary. So you could select to hide the page and not see it in the normal flow of events, but then when you go to the thumbnail view you can select "show hidden pages" to see any notes you took. Similar to how Microsoft office can hide data or text in word/excel docs.

Automatic Heading Numbering & Grammarly Integration.
I create my notes off professors’ notes, and thus I need an option to go to a subsequent number when I hit enter. I still use Microsoft Word for this because GOODNOTES 5 doesn't offer this possibility. Also, it would be great if you could integrate GRAMMARLY to GOODNOTES 5.

Shape editing update
After editing a shape we should be able to touch the screen once with the Apple Pencil to “click out” of the shape editing mode. Each time I do this a mark is created because the pencil goes right back into writing/drawing mode

Inhance ePaper with eProcesses (Tagging of date, tasks, questions, ...)
I want to make my hand-notes from work more searchable and actionable.
I was thinking of tagging and defining elements: e.g. add in current date/time (press on a handwritten date and tag it OR add in current date) to search it later. Additionally, I can imagine tasks tags, questions tags which then are searchable in a separate list/table etc.

Cannot search for numbers smaller than 10
I cannot search for a single digit number. I have a book imported to goodnotes, but when I search for "3" it says that there is nothing, but obviously there is a page three

Highlight to work behind of my handwriting instead as in front of it.
On dark pages the highlighter is not going to the back on the handwritten text.
