Scroll pages with page down and page up on a Mac
It would be nice being able to scroll pages with page up and page down in GoodNotes on a Mac, just like in any other document viewer.

move annotations to a new PDF
I review alot of technical documents with goodnotes and often times, there will be updates to the underlying PDF Document from time to time. I would like the ability to move my annotated notes to the latest PDF.
In my situation, almost all of the time, the underlying PDF would have the same format, number of pages etc. So the ability of export only annotations (which you current support) and merge the exported PDF annotates with a new PDF would solve my problem.

Re-color pen and highlighter marks quickly with a stroking tool.
The range of colors that GoodNotes offers is amazing, but it can be difficult in practice to fluidly incorporate them into documents. This could be streamlined considerably by having a coloring tool that allows the user to change the color of pen and highlighter marks by stroking over them with their pencil.
Motivation:
There are a lot of use cases where it is useful to have multi-colored diagrams and writing. For example, is often helpful to color certain variables and subscripts in mathematical equations to intuitively link equations together. As it is, doing this either requires changing the pen color up to a dozen times while writing a single equation, or using the lasso tool to edit the color of each stroke afterward. There are a couple of problems that using the lasso tool for coloring runs into:
1. The biggest is that the lasso tool can only select so small of an area, which makes selecting individual strokes (e.g. subscripts) hard or impossible on large pages.
2. The lasso tool also takes a considerable amount of time to use. This is in part because of the point above, but also because for each stroke that you want to change, you have to select it and then tap twice to get the color that you want. When using two or more colors, and/or selecting multiple small elements, this can make the process take quite a long time. In my experience, this means that I often forgo using the coloring options that GoodNotes has available, as doing so during or before a lecture/meeting is too cumbersome of a process.
This could potentially be incorporated into the lasso tool as a 'mode', which might also allow changes to line thickness, or an option to keep it or the color unchanged. It would probably be cleanest from a UX perspective to create another tool, though I could understand an apprehension toward adding another tool to the suite.

Useful Features!
Some of these ideas may have been mentioned before, and maybe they haven’t, but these are some features I would like to see.
Sending things forward or backward. Or picture layering.
Being able to select handwriting, photos or text boxes and being able to bring it forward or backward so they can layer. It would be super useful for those who digital planner journals or scrapbook.
This one I know has been said, but voice recording.
The ability to convert text directly, rather than a cop and then have to paste, while proceeding to delete the original handwritten text.
The ability to toggle off highlighter layering. I would love to colour more with the highlighter, but, I have to do it one motion otherwise it will layer. It would be nice to do it in more than one sweep.
The ability to choose which what the document scrolls per document. Right now when you change the scrolling it changes for every document. It would be nice to be able to choose the way the document scrolls. Some files I prefer to see vertically while others I want to see horizontally, especially when working in two good notes documents on the iPad.

Box Select
Right now, there is only "free-form" select.
It would be convenient to have a "box-select" option that selected everything in the window. Similar to a cropping tool.

Paper size that matches iPad screen size
Please provide a paper size that exactly matches the viewing area assuming that the toolbar is not hidden.
As it is, we always have to waste some screen real estate on margins (why?) and deal with zooming (why?). My notes will never be printed, so I don't need them to be on "A4 paper", I need them to be sized to my screen, which is where they live.

Automatic Backups to Files.app location
Right now, Automatic Backups requires connecting to a Cloud Storage provider, of which only 3 are supported, and iCloud is not even one of them. However, "Backup Now" supports saving backups to an Files.app location, which supports any cloud service that is integrated with Files.app.
What I would like to see is Automatic Backup have support for closing a location in Files.app (either local on device, or cloud service provider).

Add ability to navigate from library to open notebooks without selecting item from library
Scenario:
A user is working within a notebook in the "workspace" (the UI where all of the currently open notebooks' tabs are displayed and a user performs there GoodNote'ing). The user is curious if they have a notebook somewhere titled "Foo" and wants to see where "Foo" lives, but they do not want to open "Foo."Current behavior:
When user navigates to the library, they cannot return to their open notebooks until they select a notebook. In this scenario, the user would be forced to open "Foo" only to immediately close it.Ideal behavior:
User has an intuitive way to navigate back to their "workspace" (open notebooks view) without being forced to select a notebook. This could be a gesture or a > in the top of the documents view that parallels with the < in the "workspace" view.Scenario:

Saving highlighter and pen presets to iCloud
It would be great if the highlighter and pen presets could be saved to iCloud. Recently, I accidentally deleted Goodnotes 5 on my iPad and I had to deal with setting my highlighter and pen presets all over again. Some of the colours are different from the set of presets I had earlier on.
