  1. Right now, the maximum pen size is only 2mm. It would be nice we could have a way bigger size limit like all the way up to 1cm for example.

  2. I keep waiting for someone to replicate the Newton MessagePad. You’re getting there, but here are some things I would love you to add:
    - treat handwritten text more like a word processor treats type. I should be able to select streams of words just as I would in a word processor by dragging across the line or block with an i-bar pointer, and then cut, copy, delete. And do wrapping like a word processor too.
    - Have the option for having those blocks of handwritten text in a basic outliner, with drag and drop of points, indenting and outdenting,…

  3. I study medicine, so I would love to be able to draw out a human outline, and then nest my notes and link them together i.e. a click on the heart would then link to my notes on heart pathophysiology

  4. In order to change the aspect ratio of the little zoom box (by changing the height of the big zoom box), I have to do two things: move the top bar up, then move the bottom bar down to get the wrist guard out of the way. I don't use the wrist guard at all (I rest my wrist on the table), so I don't want to adjust its size. It would be much, much better if the default was that the top bar moved independently of the bottom bar, so that I could enlarge the zoom box in one…

  5. Being able to decide what icons are included with the tool bar would be a great way to clean up the look. I noticed the camera icon and mini photo icon do virtually the same thing.

I think it would be great to remove one and have the interface look less cluttered or even replace with possible future actions/icons

  7. Hi, I have two requests here. During the coronavirus confinement I teach kids mathematics at a distance. I found that the combo Zoom + GoodNotes is exactly what I need, it's awesome. Before I was using GoodNotes only for personal notes and as such GoodNotes is 5★. Now that I use it for teaching online I have found two little features that I would like, quite easy to code too:

    1. I need a way to get rid of the blue transparent rectangle when I write. Although it is useful for personal notes it is not useful for teaching because it…

  8. Using some sort of gesture (3 finger from screen left), to pull up the outline menu with collapsible levels integrated into it... to be able to quickly navigate between chapters within a document. Currently too many clumsy clicks to get there.

  11. As a univ student, i always use this app anywhere. Sometimes it's uncomfortable to use, which is, when the content is on a different page, it's often uncomfortable to find where it is(due to So many many files). So what I'm suggesting is that when you click on that sentence or word that's related to another page, you change it to the page that's related. For example, there is the word oxidation, and when you associate it with a sentence in another page, you always change it to a page that is associated with that word.

  12. Allow people the chance to create digital planners with hyper links to months and weeks of each year that is specified. Note shelf 2 already has this. I think Goodnotes needs this as well. The CCP virus will mean this feature will become extremely important as people will need a way to track their daily activities.

  14. On MacBooks, iMacs, Mac Pros (etc...) there's a lot more room than on an iPad.
I'm thinking about page thumbnails, about how many pages are shown on a single screen (and how much space rests unutilized on the left and on the right of the note).
Please make the Mac app "Mac friendlier"!

  16. I want to paste a url and have the rendered html as a document.
Now I have to do it the other way: from safari I can open in GoodNotes (doesn’t work well) or Markup. Then export to goodnotes. This works well but I have to click about 12 buttons along the way, which is frustrating.

  17. I’m a maths teacher and would like to see a wide variety of shapes that can be easily drawn, than having to draw it line by line. The inclusion of 2D and 3D number planes would also be great.

  18. Since I am using Apple Pencil, switching the pen to eraser need to click on the eraser icon on the tab.
I suggest that there is a floating eraser icon on the screen, so I can drag that icon to my left hand side( I am right hand user). When I need to erase something, I can just tap the floating eraser icon using my left hand. Then it will be more efficient to user who are using Apple Pencil.
This idea might be useful to other pen functions too.

  19. I think that apple’s File app has some bugs, so every time I upload a file to my google drive from PC, I cannot see that file via import button.
Looks like it didn’t sync well on the File app.
In my opinion, GoodNotes should request user permission directly to access the file from google drive.

  20. Simply make goodnotes snappier when opening folders and files, add little animations — for the selecting tool, for example.

Goodnotes feels a bit “heavier” than Notability on this part, in my opinion
