Reduce Workflow Disruption by Integrating Masking Tape into Pointer Mode
Currently, switching from pointer mode to the pen tool in order to use masking tape is inconvenient and hinders the teaching or presenting process.
Allowing masking tape functionality within pointer mode would preserve workflow continuity and reduce cognitive load on the presenter, leading to better engagement.1 vote -
Enable Masking Tape Functionality in Pointer Mode
I would appreciate it if you could allow the use of the masking tape function while in pointer mode, without needing to switch to the pen tool.

About tape tilt
When you pull the masking tape, it ends up at an angle, which is inconvenient.
Therefore, I would like to be able to pull the tape straight instead of diagonally.6 votes -
Option for guides + option for objects to snap or not to guides
It’s extremely crucial for me to be able to make guides for documents (of course being able to have them visible or not anytime I need to). I can’t stand the fact that I can’t align, for example, stickers in a precise row or column.
Using grid paper doesn’t help me at all, I want to have an option so that stickers, text boxes etc snap to guides made by me (I was hoping „ruler” feature will help with that, but alas, it didn’t).2 votes -
flash cards types image occlusion true false and ability to archive decks
the biggest limitation with my flashcards at the moment is having to manually draw a box for image occlusion cards. then colour in the box myself with opaque ink. as there is not an auto fill function for shapes where you can adjust the transparency of the colour, or "tape" option i can use to cover parts of the image. it would be great to be able to build easy image occlusion cards by simply selecting the area i want occluded.
more options on card type like true false, fill in the word ect.
archive function. i'm now a year 3 med student and my cards i made in year 1 i still come up in my to do pile i have no way to archive them which is frustrating as i now have ALOT of cards. and dont need to review all of them all the time.
Card tab, where all of the card decks are visible. currently i have to favourite them all but they get lost in that tab unless i sort by doc type.
streak page to see how many days we are doing cards and to build consistency in certain topics as currently the decks come up and it not random enough to cover a bit of everything so i may be biased to click a deck i know ill get done quickly or has less cards to do instead of what topics are most urgent.
or the ability to add our streak into our calendar eg outlook, apple, google so we can see at a glance our consistency. then in app a more thorough break down of decks topics and cards we have gotten right/ wrong overtimequick edit function i sometimes see cards i've miss spelt or formatted wrong and it hard to try and find them again.
search function in the decks themselves that also searches images. finding info on cards can be very difficult at times.
importing a CSV file of auto made cards but with the ability to convert our own handwriting into a font of its own so the cards are still written in our writing for better recognition.

Please add an option to infinitely zoom in.
Please let us zoom infinitely. I absolutely hate having to scroll up / down, and I'd much rather just zoom in more than 800%.
Thank you.

Please make the object "search" function with pencil.
Pen tools written with pencils in Apple Pencil are not searched at all. Please support pencil-written pens to be searched.

Good Note Handwriting calculation Please calculate the exponential function and transcendence function
The Apple Memo app does a good job of calculating exponential functions, i.e. transcendental functions, but the GoodNote app can't calculate exponential functions e^(-2) and exp( )... Please let it be calculated.

I hope we can customize more pens and pens in more detail and add the ability to download brushes.
It would be nice if you could use more pens and customize them in more detail as you want, like a ProCreative app or a concept app. Also, if you don't have a pen you want, it would be nice to have a function to customize it yourself and export or import brush files separately, and you can pay directly in the market and use it, so it would be nice to add a function to download a brush.

Customizing Templetes (Grid Size)
This update would allow us to customize templates such as grid size and size ( for example make the dots on dotted paper larger). I think it would be a great and useful addition

Fix bug (or annoying new feature) of jumping to next page when scrolling.
Every time I (or my friends) scroll through a note, when entering the bottom of the page, it automatically scrolls forward to the center of the next page. Also when softly scrolling in zoom mode near the bottom or top.
This bug (I hope its not a feature) made me angry multiple times by now. GoodNotes is so unbelievably unusable at the moment, wow!Hope this gets fixed soon. Contact me if you need further technical information!

Grouped Page Management (Duplicate, Move, Export Multiple Pages at Once)
I’d love to see the ability to group multiple pages within a notebook and manage them as a unit — including the ability to duplicate, reorder, and export grouped pages.
This feature would significantly enhance workflows for users who work with planners, journals, or recurring templates. For example:
Duplicate a monthly set of pages (calendar, trackers, notes, etc.) to easily create the next month’s section in a planner.
Reorganize grouped sections (e.g., move an entire month or topic section to the front or back of a notebook).
Export a specific section as a PDF without manually selecting each page.
Apply edits or actions (like duplication or movement) to an entire group of related pages at once, saving time and improving organization.
Ideally, this could be implemented via a “select multiple pages” feature with an option to group them, or a tagging system that treats tagged pages as a unit for certain actions.
This would bring Goodnotes closer to desktop-level document flexibility, without sacrificing the intuitive flow of a digital notebook. Thank you for considering it!

Idea Goodnotes for Maths
As a mathematics teacher and a regular user of GoodNotes 6, I greatly appreciate how the app supports digital teaching and note-taking. However, during my daily use—especially in teaching complex concepts—I found that a few additional features would significantly improve the experience, particularly for educators like me:
1. Merge and Split Strokes: This would allow us to combine or separate drawn elements easily—very helpful when organizing mathematical constructions or diagrams.
2. Edit Stroke Properties After Drawing: It would be beneficial to tap on a stroke and adjust its style (e.g., dashed, dotted, solid) or thickness, which is essential when emphasizing different parts of a diagram.
3. Shape Fill with Opacity Control: I would love the ability to fill closed shapes with color and adjust the transparency using a slider. This would help greatly in visualizing areas, overlaps, and focus zones.
4. Advanced Drawing Tools for Educators:
* Basic shapes (circles, triangles, rectangles),
* 3D geometric figures (cubes, spheres, pyramids),
* Arrows and direction markers,
* Charts and graphs (for statistics and functions).
5. Insert Math-related GIFs: Support for inserting animated GIFs (e.g., rotating solids, function animations) would enrich my interactive teaching and make abstract concepts easier to understand.
6. Flip and Mirror Shapes: A "flip" or "mirror" function for diagrams would be incredibly useful, especially when demonstrating symmetry or transformations in geometry.
These features would make GoodNotes not only more powerful for teachers but also an incredible tool for interactive and visual learning. Thank you for building such a fantastic app—and I hope these suggestions can contribute to making it even better for the education community. As a mathematics teacher and a regular user of GoodNotes 6, I greatly appreciate how the app supports digital teaching and note-taking.
