Document Title Export
I’m a scientist and wanted to be able to trade a list of document titles, sizes, and dates with a colleague so we could be sure we were working from the same source documents.
Academic publishing is often paywalled. If you need access to a document and you don’t have access to the journal, it’s accepted that you’ll fire off an email for a copy, and not publicly share it, so two folks from different institutions may not have access to the same journals.
So we need title, origin date, last date changed, and file size, preferably in both Numbers…

STREAMLINE
Please add a type of "streamline" for each pen type that is adjustable so it would fit each individuals needs and wants.
It would improve handwriting which would prevent me from spending so much time during note taking to go back and rewrite things and it would make the notes that I do write much easier to read. It would make notes more aesthetically pleasing and legible which would save time. It is an easy win win win situation.47 votes -
Grid or ruler for text and image alignment
Would appreciate if you could have appearing gridlines that would help you to align text boxes.

Line spacing that adjusts to the type of paper template being used.
In many cases when using the text box option I can adjust the line spacing and font size but the more I type the less the text actually stays on the lines of the page. So far, the only way to deal with this issue is to create multiple text boxes when the text starts to drift away from the lines. In most cases, I like to text for the full length of the page and it's difficult when even the line spacing doesn't actually stay consistent.

Need a new feature in GoodNotes for my studies
Please add GIF feature to GoodNotes because in my studies there are various topics on which I have to use GIFs but, I cannot. My notes are pending. Please add this feature as fast as you can so that I can continue my studies.

Choose starting page for page numbering
When importing pdfs the page numbering starts on the cover and pages like the contents page are counted which means on things like textbook the page numbers don’t match up with the book in real life which makes it hard to work with especially in class

Fix selection tool weird behaviour
When drawing/writing something without lifting the pen, so in one line and then using the eraser to split it in half as example, the selection tool still handles the now separate objects as one.
As shown in picture 3 both parts are moved although only one is selected.

Ability to Print Flashcards Double Sided
Handwriting flashcards is a great idea, but it would be even better if we could print them with proper formatting (double sided) with the question on one side and the answer on the other. This would be really helpful for practicing with physical cards for studying rather than staring at a screen, but also gives the ability to add images / organize diagrams and such more cleanly.

Make macOS app native and better
It feels like the macOS app is unfinished and has performance problem, like lag, slow, sync problems etc. This makes the user experience of macOS app very bad.

Pen Colour/Thickness Profiles
It would be great if we could have "profiles" set up for Pen Colours (and thicknesses)
For example, for my work notes, I use Black, Red and Blue pens but for my journaling, diary, personal note taking, I also use different colours with larger pen thickness etc.
Currently I have to manually select the colours and pen thicknesses when switching from professional to personal notebooks but using profiles would help make and instant switch between different profiles for different uses

Using the IOS 15 native OCR function to improve the search efficiency, you can identify the content of the scanned version of the text when establishing a text index, which will make the software more efficient.I don't know if IOS has open this API.

Mac toolbar expansion
Clicking the toolbar in the GN5 Mac app expands the window to large view, and clicking again returns it to standard size.
Basically, quickening the time it takes to widen the GN view WITHOUT actually going into FULL SCREEN mode.
Should be a quick fix.

Colour syncing
Sync saved coloureds for pens and highlighters across all devices. Also sync saved colours for pens to highlighters as well :)

Links automatically clickable
I'm used to always copying & pasting links into my notes in order to support my research. It's frustrating that I can't do this in GoodNotes. If I copy & paste a link into a text box, it wont be clickable. Please consider making this feature a top priority in future updates because it is required for students, teachers and people doing research. My notes aren't as useful when I can't include links that will work. I really just want to be able to tap on a link to open it and then tap back to go to the GoodNotes…

Allow users to select what content is stored on device and allow other content to be stored in cloud.
After years of use and many tens of gigbytes of content, my ipad is full from goodnotes content. I dont want to delete older notes because I occasionally refer to them. I request allowing us to selectively sync some content to our devices and allow older content to be stored in the cloud and downloaded when needed directly within the app.

Fixing a problem of synching up data as PDF
when i tried to upload my notes and folders ..... on One drive as PDFs
i tried to download them again on Good notes
i found the PDFs annotations are constant and cannot be edited again
on the other hand, i tried to do the same manually on some files and repeated
the process and found the annotations editable, but it would take very much
time to do this on every file in every folder.

preview search results
When searching on iphone spotlight search, it would be good if a small preview image of the document would show. Notability has this feature so it shouldn’t be hard I think
