Share screenshot as SVG
I use GoodNotes screenshot-feature on a daily basis to create drawings for my exercises & summaries for uni and it would be very useful if I could export into SVG -> better quality while maintaining a small footprint.

Schedule automatic backup or offer cooldown period
The current automatic backup attempts to backup your files after every edit and thus (based on my settings) attempts to render to pdf after every single edit. This constant rendering and uploading rapidly drains the iPad battery to the point where I lose about 20-30% per hour of use and as a side effect makes the device very hot and uncomfortable to use.
Instead, it would be good to have an option to either schedule a backup (i.e. once an hour, once a day, etc) or have a cooldown option where a document won't be backed up until say 5…

Screen Reader Compatibility
For some reason, whenever I upload a pdf to Goodnotes on my iPad, I loose the ability to use my screen reader to help me read the text. This is really awful, as I rely on my screen reader to help me get through my readings for school. I love the flexibility of Goodnotes' highlight, page marking, and page searching functions. This one extra layer of compatibility or trouble shooting would literally make the difference between excelling and falling behind in my classes :/.

Increase size of laser pointer
It would be helpful if the size of the laser pointer could be adjusted. The current one is pretty small and sometimes hard to recognise.

Allow Google Drive integration to access Shared Drives
It appears the Google Drive current integration is just for "My Drive" and not for Shared team drives. My organization uses shared drives heavily and it would be great to have access to them through GoodNotes. Currently, I have to copy the document from the shared drive to my drive in order to work on it in GoodNotes.

enhangce search function
Compared with Notability, the search capability of GoodNotes is relatively poor, 1. I can't find individual letters if I'm trying to sort notes with letters, and that's not an idea. 2. It's also hard to find a word if it's near a highlighter marker or some line. 3. Goodnotes also can't search the middle part of a word, which is very limited.

Change pen size after writing.
There are so many times I will write out a bunch of notes and then look at it think it wold look much better if it was a slightly smaller pen size. It would be great to be able to change the size of the pen after you have written using the lasso tool so you are not stuck with what you have written or have to rewrite everything so it's smaller because you changed your mind when it was too late.

Export Over Writes Original on Google Drive
As a teacher, I use GoodNotes as a smart board by presenting on projector. I usually upload blank template of today's lesson in a Google Drive where students find the notes, this is the blank document to start. As I teach, I like to upload the updated version to the same folder, but want the option to have GoodNotes overwrite or replace the original file with the same name so the new version is what students get. That way I don't have to go in after to delete the original so only the new one is there.

Undo shape
The shape tool does not respond to the undo feature like it should. Resize via the shape tool will not revert to the last size if I hit the undo button. This is an easy fix that should be a thing already.

Flat (rectangular tip) highlighter
It may not seem important to many, but when doing some tracker marking to fill up rectangle shapes, it is so hard using a rounded highlighter. I end up using Noteshelf when I really want to use goodnotes. It messes up my entire habit tracking that I use everyday.

Feature to make a line „permanent“
Not sure how to describe this. But it is a hassle sometimes, that whenever i draw a graph for example and use different colors and sizes etc. to annotate it and then release i need to erase something which happens to cross over the lines of my graph, the graph would get erased as well.
So maybe an option to pin something like on Canva so it can‘t be edited anymore.

Index Written / Highlight
It would be nice if there were a way to index all pages written and make them available where one finds Thumbnails / Favorites / Outlines a way to go quickly review and find.
I will use when I have a normal document with a lot of pages, and I have to write some notes, o highlight something, and then quickly find in the documents my notes.

Wenn ich mit dem Apple pen schreibe, bräuchte ich Linien.
Bei GoodNotes musste ich bisher einzeln Linien zeichnen und darauf schreiben, damit ich einigermaßen gerade schreibe.
(in notability gibt es beispielsweise die Funktion Haftnotitzen.

Show recent files from GoodNotes in Files Finder on iPad, iPhone, and Mac
It would be great to see recent files/notes I’ve saved in GoodNotes in the Files app on iPad and iPhone and Finder on Mac as well as the Spotlight on Mac to make search easier. Thanks!

Different Color palette based on white or black template
E.g Automatically switch black to white pen color when opening a black (template) document
