  1. Condensed Slides

    Ability to condense power point slides into one, in order to alleviate the storage usage of the document but also to make finding the slides much more streamlined.

    Meaning multiple slides(3 or more) would be put on one page in a slightly smaller version of the original in order to avoid having to scroll through lets say 90 slides or more.

  2. On/Off Switch to move the current Paper off the screen

    The Problem: When I'm taking notes I'm bothered by reaching the right end side of the piece of "digital" paper I'm writing on currently, because of the hight of the iPad Pro I'm taking the notes with I'm forced to move my hand off the pad to write on the right hand side of the screen.

  4. Dynamic Display of Magnification when changing Target box Size

    Allow the user to see the final writing magnification dynamically as the Mag box size is being changed, so that they can choose a consistent size.

  5. Edit scanned documents (Even if they are templates)

    It would be nice if it were possible to edit images in Good notes, because sometimes I have some dirt on the scanned document due to scanning and I cannot remove it.

    I also often have the problem that I want to remove something that was previously visible on the document I scanned.

    Please add a function to edit images and scanned documents to make this app even more perfect!

  6. view notes in web browser

    Would be super helpful to be able to view notes in a web browser. there are times when i don't have access to my ipad and need to see something i wrote previously don't need editing capabilities, just ability to view. since notes are stored in the cloud hopefully having this would be straightforward.

  7. Improve the highlighting tool

    As of now, I love the highlighting tool. I love how you can highlight in straight lines and how the highlighter automatically appears behind your writing or text, and doesn’t alter it’s colour.
    However, on all the pictures you post on your website etc, all the hand drawn diagrams are beautifully coloured in.
    THIS IS NOT REALISTIC.
    To get a uniform line, you cannot lift your pen off your screen, otherwise the highlighter’s colour « builds up » to become darker.
    This is very annoying because it makes coloring in simple shapes very difficult.

  8. Change the look of written words after it is written

    One note has the option to lasso a section of text and then click on a preset pen to change the text to the thickness and color of the preset pen. If I accidentally write something in the wrong thickness, I would have to rewrite it on GN which is a pain.

  10. Add space anywhere in the note

    I frequently think of things I want to add to a long note later. The options at present are: 1) try to cram an extra bit of writing above previous notes (like using a physical notebook); or 2) select everything you want to move with the lasso tool and move it downwards (difficult with a long note, and a bit of a hassle too)

    If you could somehow pinch to add more space that would be quick and awesome, You could have as many extra thoughts as you like, and it wouldn't be a hassle to add them in.

  11. Erase by specific pen color

    I am using GoodNotes and drawing a table with multiple rows and columns to practice for a test. The last row’s change with each exercise. I use a unique pen color for those. It would be great if I could erase by pen color so I can erase the values with a quick swipe and not have to fix the cell borders each time or be more precise with each cell. Thanks!

  12. Guidelines

    In a pdf, it's hard to markup boxes for writing without guidelines. Being able to pull out guidelines like in Photoshop would make it a breeze to write straight and bring out as many guidelines which would never ever print, and they would not interfere because they are dotted and very light. Especially both vertical and horizontal guidelines would be great, because on PDFs, you can't easily change the paper for the whole document.

  13. Recognition of underlined text

    Dear All,

    It would be great if Goodnotes could convert underlined handwriting into text as well. Currently, if you try to convert a word with a letter, whose "tail" intersects with the line underneath, the recognition simply doesn't work. Perhaps you could just exclude objects drawn with shape tool from handwriting recognition. Thanks!

  14. Zoom window behaviour matches GoodNotes 4

    Zoom window behaviour was changed in GN5. Previously, it included tool bars and better snap functionality. GN4 behaviour was superior, please revert this feature set.

    GN5 zoom window is more visually appealing, but now the user must swing their at, all over the place to change tools :(

    It would be very helpful if the OCR capabilities could be extended to include images, such as screenshots of whiteboard sessions.

  17. More Mac-ish interface for the Goodnotes 5 Mac App

    The Mac App seems like a waste of money, because it is exactly like the iPad app's interface, except on a Mac. Please make it more like Pages or other native Mac apps.

  18. Email to GoodNotes

    I used "Email to GoodNotes". It is a good feature but the mail address is hard to remember so I tried to forward any email that I send from my email to my email in Gmail with title "GoodNotes" but google told me that I must enter "Confirmation code" that they sent to my email in GoodNotes.

    There is no way to see the "Confirmation code" now, so I cannot activate this feature.

    To solve this problem, I suggest one of these ideas:
    1- Convert any message to PDF
    2- Resend any message to my email

  19. Mac Version Colour and Doesn't Save Windows

    Two reasons I still prefer Noteshelf over GoodNotes.

    1. The menu bar area in Noteshelf takes on the default Mac colour scheme whereas GoodNotes has this dark blue top bar area for note windows. It's a little think but it's a slight niggle.

    2. While I make my notes on my iPad, I like to see my notes on my Mac and mostly have 2 notes open all the time on an additional monitor; one is my todo list and one is my planner. If I did this with Goodnotes, any time I close the app or restart my computer and then…

  20. Full screen Editing

    Please have a way to edit a document in full-screen mode; i.e. hiding all toolbars but still able to edit a document.

    E.g. double tap with two fingers to hide/show toolbars without leaving edit mode

    This is legitimately the only thing holding me back from using Goodnotes 5 all the time
