I’ve ended up juggling huge notebooks too, and the app can feel like it’s hogging space. The only thing that helps me right now is breaking giant notebooks into smaller chunks and exporting old ones to external storage so they don’t sit on my device. It’s a bit of a hacky workaround, but it keeps my iPad from gasping for air while we wait for better storage controls.

Having comments show up in search would save me so much rummaging around later. I leave little notes to myself all over the place, then forget where I dropped them, so having them pop up in the search results with a preview would be clutch. Even just a toggle to include or skip comments in search would cover most use cases without cluttering anything.

I’ve run into the same wall and it feels like trying to tape a poster to a greased fridge. What helps me explain the pain to devs is showing how journal apps handle drag and drop with a ghost preview before the image lands. Something like a simple grab handle or a floating layer list could make image juggling way smoother and keep pages from doing that weird auto jump thing.

Mixing different card types in one study set would save me so much back and forth. I’ve had times where half my cards really needed multiple choice while the rest worked better as plain recall, and splitting them into separate sets just broke my flow. A quick toggle per card would keep everything under one roof and make reviews feel way smoother without juggling extra sets.

Jumping in on this older post because I totally agree with everyone asking for a calligraphy pen. Has there been any update from GoodNotes about adding this feature? It would transform how enjoyable the app is for creative note-taking. I love seeing all these suggestions—really shows how much we care about improving the user experience.

I know this thread is a bit old, but I wanted to bring it back up. Has there been any update from GoodNotes on adding subscript and superscript support yet? These features seem crucial for so many users, especially in STEM fields. Maybe we could brainstorm some creative workarounds while we wait for an official update. What have folks been using in the meantime?
