Perpetual license for Windows devices
The pricing for the yearly version is pretty fair, but I would like the option to pay once for the current version of Goodnotes. It would also be good to have a discounted fee to upgrade to future versions of Goodnotes (e.x. moving from 5 to 6 when it comes out)

Font favorites
There are TONS of default fonts I will NEVER use but I have also downloaded a lot from iFont. However, I constantly have to weed through all the system fonts to get to the ones I use regularly to see which font looks best for a particular section of text.

Manque de fonctions essentiels par rapport à Notability
Quand on arrive à la fin d’une page, une nouvelle doit suivre automatiquement.
Possibilité de figer une image, que le texte passe directement à la ligne si une image est a côté,…Un bouton qui nous permet de scroller avec le pencil
Pouvoir créer une flèche,… directement et parfaitement.
Permettre de choisir la police et la taille lors de la saisie de texte.
Pouvoir enregistrer des factures pour les copier/ coller plus tard.

Coding
I think Goodnotes is the best note-taking application out there and offers more features and ability than any of its competition, which is why I think that Goodnotes should do more for IT-Students. A code tool as an option for text-fields, enabling syntax-highlighting, video and website embeds, as well as a code preview would be amazing. Also I had this idea of being able to make automations, since AI can now write in our handwriting. Such automations could look like this:

Problem: Unable to quickly type digital text in leftmost column of Cornell page layout template in Goodnotes 6 iPadOS app.
Why not use Microsoft Notes app feature where user can tap anywhere on the page or canvas and start typing to freely “drop/appear” text on any spot of the page? Apply this principle to Cornell page layout space - leftmost column (make sure text don’t get cut off by page lines - reduce readability).

Quick floating toolbar for Apple Pencil 2
Make a long press on the touch sensitive part of the Apple Pencil bring up a quick toolbar to change colour or tool (pen, highlighter, select) similar to squeeze on Apple Pencil pro

auto eraser pen
I hope you can also add a pen that automatically erases over time.
I think it would be good to use it when it's cumbersome to erase one by one or erase the page at once when solving a problem.1 vote -

Fix issue with Apple Pencil hover distorting handwriting
Handwriting is distorted especially at the end of strokes where they appear shifted. At this stage only turning off Apple Pencil's hover feature seems to fix this issue.

Customizable line distancing in Templates
It would be incredibly useful, to be able to customize the distancing of dots and lines in templates.
In different countries we use different spacing of lines in ruled, squared and dotted paper. Especially when designing worksheets to be printed it would be great to be able to specify the distance to e.g. 0.5 cm.

Clear Annotations in Presentation Mode
Presentation mode is helpful, and I like the laser pointer. However, I would truly appreciate it if we had a quick access 'clear page' that's available, especially in Presentation mode so that we can annotate while teaching and just quickly add notes ⇒ removing them instantly when done.

Sticker Packs - Download in logical order
I purchased a few sticker packs and noticed that when downloaded to Elements the stickers are randomly sorted which makes it impossible to find stickers by category. The app currently does not include functionality to sort these easily. However it would make more sense that these were downloaded in the order of category of the sticker pack.

Emojis in the toolbar instead of via keyboard
Right now you can add emojis if you use the keyboard but if you are writing with an apple pencil it gets a bit cumbersome

Customizable paper templates
It would be helpful to edit the line width of a lined paper, or make some dotted lines and others dashed. Could also incorporate checkboxes and other areas on the paper that are customizable to each user. This would be helpful to have a basic template that can be editale for each user to their liking (ie: I like my lined paper to be wide ruled but also reach the full length of the paper from left to right)

Add recent opened document history feature
Allow a sidebar menu link to allow opening a document from recent history across devices.
Useful when we don’t want to save it as a favourite but have opened in another device and want to pick up from where you left.

Smaller Default Photo Size
The default landscape photo size is such that I can't quite fit two across the width of a 8.5" x 11" sheet. It would be helpful if they were inserted a bit smaller so two would readily fit side by side.

drag and drop from macbook
I used to be able to drag and drop PDFS from my MacBook to the Mac Goodnotes app on my laptop. I can no longer do this, which is really limiting my flexibility with the app. What has changed? I may need to shop for a different app, but I love Goodnotes otherwise.
I also used to be able to click the share icon on any document, image, or PDF and open it directly in Goodnotes. Now my only option is to send it to my Files app on my iPad and then I have to import it from there.…
