Select tools when squeezing with Apple Pencil Pro and edit PDF full screen only
I use GoodNotes 6 every day and find it very useful and productive. However, I have some suggestions for improvement, especially regarding the use of PDF files.
PDF Integration
- Wider Use of PDFs: It has always been a challenge to use PDF files more extensively within GoodNotes. Enhancing this feature would be highly beneficial.
Recent Observations
- Circular Writing Window: Recently, while using the 13-inch iPad Pro and Apple Pencil Pro, I noticed a circular writing window created in front of the pen nib using the pen pressure function. Thank you for including this feature.

Add indices and exponents !
It would be great to be able to have the opportunity to add indices and exponents to our words/letters/numbers!

Scan documents or whiteboards and detect the written text and convert it to written "goodnotes text" that you can edit
A feature with which I can scan a written sheet of paper, for example. But then the handwriting should be recognized automatically so that I can edit it again. (Erasing, moving and so on)

"Smart" Dark Mode
The "smart" dark mode will essentially invert the colors of the actual document, not just them them of the app interface. Take a look at how CollaNote handles this on iPad, or how Outlook handles dark mode in emails. It's not a pure inversion of colors, rather, the background goes black and the colors you are using are adjusted to be more visible against a dark background. Cycle through 3 or tools with double tap Apple Pencil
Cycle through 3 (or more) tools/brush with double tap Apple Pencil.
If you double tap, it will cycle through the last three tools (or more depending on setting choice)
So for example:
1. Start from from 'PEN' write something.
2. Double tap Apple pencil and it will go to 'HIGHLIGHTER', and highlight a word.
2. Double tap Apple pencil and it will go to 'SHAPE TOOL' and under line some text and draw a box.
3. Double tap Apple pencil and it's back to 'PEN' and write something.This will prevent needing to move the pen up to the tool…

Go back after clicking a hyperlink in PDF
One should be able to go back to the original page after clicking a hyperlink in a PDF file. This is necessary when annotating some long PDF files.

Haptic feedback on Pencil Pro for "Circle to Select" gesture
When using the "Circle to Select" gesture, it often happens that my timing is slightly off and I try to pull the selection too early, yielding an unwanted stroke on the page. Therefore, the pencil should vibrate slightly once the selection is complete.

Native Goodnotes App for Samsung Tablets
The release of Goodnotes 6 within the previous year, was great for the Apple ecosystem, but recently I have moved to Samsung and I have noticed just how bad Goodnotes 6 is on Samsung Tablets (I have the Tab S9 series).
A progress web app can never be for a note-taking app, native apps are essential for note-taking as performance with the Goodnotes 6 web app is bad.
The web app crashes often, the pen is laggy and most of the time my handwriting ends up looking bad comparing it with native apps like Samsung Notes, jNotes, Squid, and others.

Ability to turn off automatic bullet points and numbering
Whenever I type a number or hyphen at the start of a line, an automatic bullet/numbered list will appear and hijack my original structure. Can you provide an option to turn off automatic lists?

My iPad getting heated up using notes 6 apple pencil
This has happened over the past few days I have seen that iPad Air 5 gets heated my to a certain degree when using it for 10 minutes also its quite irritating as my hands is in that position where the pencil is placed ig its the position of chip where en this occurs same thing happens with the notes app that's why I had stopped using it now its happening in notes app too.

Page thumbnail dragging issue when "Contents" menu is open as a sidebar
When the "Contents" menu is opened as a sidebar, dragging the thumbnail of a page results in the app suggesting to open a copy of the current notebook in a new window. This issue is only present when the Contents menu is opened as a sidebar---the dragging behaviour is completely fine when the Contents menu is opened as a window. Text Improvement + Tape
Make the text feature simple like it would be on a word document or google docs (bullet points, ability to highlight text) AND ensure that the tape feature follows or is "attached" to that section of the text.
Currently I have to complete my study guide, download as a PDF, then use the tape feature. If I gain more clarity and have to add/change my notes, I lose all my progress with the tape feature on goodnotes since PDF are not editable.
