Import planner pages with iCal calendar events and notes area that you can write on
I kindof do this by taking screenshots of my calendar and importing into goodnotes, but it would be so much better if the events were automatically updated. Planner pages could be daily or weekly.
Existing planner apps don't allow the handwriting, which makes them not at all like a real planner.

Align typed text with a template's horizontal bars.
Text box positions and fonts should be aligned such that the multi-line typed text will be aligned with the current template's horizontal bars. This alignment should be the default initial behavior whenever a new text box is created.

Add support for Boxcryptor (encrypted Dropbox)
Please support Boxcryptor. This allows to store files encrypted on Dropbox. You support dropbox - you should support Boxcryptor as well. Never mind - but who wants to store his private stuff in the cloud without encryption ... :).

Allow the Export to recognize and export the Bookmarks you have created in you GoodNotes .pdf
Maybe I am missing some setting or documentation, but I spend a lot of time marking up documents and bookmarking those notes, only to have the bookmarks not Export with the document. Frustrating.

export non-flattened PDF
It appears that when PDFs are exported they are done so as a "flattened" PDF. It would be great if the PDF elements were still editable after export - both the written notes and any fields if they were included in the original PDF.

Edit selected text and option to go back to the text box!!!!
I'm a student so sometimes while typing my notes, my professor makes an error or changes something so I can't go back to the text box to edit it. Also, whenever I want to bold one word or sentence, the entire sentence gets bolded. You guys should change this and allow us to only bold, italicize, and underline the words we want. Also, please please PLEASE give us the option to go back to our text box that we were typing in.

Possibility to export lighter PDFs (less resolution).
It should be able to export with customizable resolutions, since for some notes we do not need high resolution and for dense pages the PDF generated with the current version is heavy and difficult to upload in slow connections.

Scribbling out of a hand written word or line erases that word.
Sometimes when I make a mistake while hand writing in good notes I just scribble the word out then have to erase it later. Some sort of feature that recognizes I scribbled out a word and then erases it would be superb.

bring back old zoom functionality
A few versions ago, the zoom functionality worked so that if you were zoomed more than 100% and zoomed out, it would snap to 100%. And the same goes for being zoomed out less than 100% and zooming in; it would snap to 100%.

create an option to clear cache
Today my iPad ran out if storage space. I checked the usage page in Settings and Goodnotes was taking up 4GB of space. A few minutes later the iPad automagically launched into "cleaning" mode for Goodnotes and then, voila, the app's usage had dropped to 65MB. I create a lot of big files in Goodnotes but regularly clean them out when I'm done. It would be great if I could manually trigger a cleaning of the app's cache so that it doesn't grow to several GB again.

Clean up option
I’d love to see an option that would allow GoodNotes to edit hand written notes using ai. Ai could detect/ view your overall handwriting style. When hand written notes are written more messy or not perfectly straight or if the letters are slightly bigger then good notes would fix it making it more neat, straight and same size. It would save the user so much more time from having to rewrite notes to make them straighter or having them be converted to text which most of the time the full sentence isn’t converted correctly so you have to edit it…

- allow multiple default typings instead of only one- full page typing
- allow change font i know this will mess up the spacing but we could change the line spacing ourselves
also when more tape is used, its hard to select one individual tape and insteads it selects many tape around my selction. precision could be improved

Serious Overheating and Battery Drain Issues
I’ve been dealing with a persistent issue for about 8 months now, and it’s becoming a dealbreaker. My iPad Air 11 gets excessively hot and the battery drains at an alarming rate whenever I’m using Goodnotes.
This has been happening since the very first day I bought the iPad. I have already tried disabling the handwriting recognition and the dictionary/indexing features, but unfortunately, it didn't help at all.

"Bold" Highlighter
I would love to suggest a new feature for the highlighter tool. Instead of adding a fluorescent background color, it would be amazing to have a specific highlighter that simply makes the selected text (handwritten or typed) bold.
This would be incredibly useful for emphasizing certain words or sentences cleanly, without cluttering the page with too many bright colors. It would keep notes looking professional and easy to read. Thank you for considering!
