Floatingbar
Please consider adding an option to switch between a fixed and floating toolbar. The floating toolbar is distracting during long study sessions and slows down workflow. A fixed toolbar was much more efficient and comfortable to use. Having both options would greatly improve the user experience.

Perspective correction tool for photos/pictures
As a medical student I often take photos of lecture slides from various angles, currently cropping these images results in distorted or skewed perspectives, leaving me with “uncroppable” parts.
I would love to see a feature similiar to the Notes app in IOS when scanning a document, it would help me make better notes for me.

Making the toolbar floating and removing the option for a fixed version seriously hurts the user experience. Students like us spend hours taking notes and need focus, but the toolbar constantly moves, sometimes overlaps our work, and it slows us down.
There’s a simple solution that makes everyone happy:
• Floating toolbar
• Fixed (classic) toolbarLet users choose what works for them. It’s really that simple.
Please add a “Classic Toolbar Mode.” This change would make a huge difference for many users.

Added detailed thickness adjustment
I’m currently using an Apple Pencil tip that’s optimized for 0.38, so I usually set it to that thickness. However, the available options are only 0.3, 0.35, and 0.4, which feels a bit limiting. It would be great if we could set more precise values like 0.38 or even 0.28 for finer control!

Additional tape function is recommended
It's really annoying to erase the tape one by one
There must be a lot of people who use it exclusively for learning
Covering the entire tape It would be really convenient to put a function to cover the entire tape in the place of the tape tool, but it's a shame that there's no simple function like this. Better customisable tool bar
Please add the option to freely customise the tools inside of the Apple Pencil Pro menu. I also would love to see more colour options in this menu instead of the normal three.

Add more precise thickness adjustment options
My Apple Pencil tip works best with a thickness of 0.38, so I usually try to match that. However, the available options are limited to values like 0.3, 0.35, and 0.4, which feels a bit restrictive.
It would be much better if we could set more precise values, such as 0.38 or 0.28, by allowing finer adjustments within ranges like 0.2–0.3 or 0.3–0.4.

Sin, cosin and more clean shapes
Please introduce the ability to draw more variation of shapes, others than Lines, polygons, circles, ellipses and parabolas. Me as an engineering student would love to draw different curvy lines. I would recommend to add like 3,4,5… order polynomials and what really should be introduced is an easy and efficient way to draw sin and cosin.

Bring back the keyboard button for adding text to a page instead of hiding it in the context menu under "start typing"
Please bring back the keyboard-button you can see on the screenshot. I know there are the new text documents, but especially in school context it is necessary to have the ability to add text to the whole page in a notebook easily.

Tabs
Making the tabs bar condensed while writing so that there’s more room on the screen for the paper. This would also make the new toolbar more useful!

Ich bin ein großer Fan von Goodnotes, aber ich würde mir wünschen,
dass man bei dem Tool Textfeld
verschiedene Stile
sichern könnte,
also unter einem bestimmten Namen speichern kann.
So könnte man eben direkt unterspeichern, wie man seine Überschriften, seine Merksätze oder einfach die normalen Stichpunkte formatieren möchte, sodass man das nicht immer wieder selbst machen muss…2 votes -
Catagorize outlines
I would love it if in the outlines menus if we could add multiple pages to one specific outline so I don’t have 5 pages with the same outline name and I could have all 5 pages under one category. I feel that it would make the outlines much cleaner and more helpful when finding a certain page in that catagory.

最近大量使用套索工具，還有複製貼上筆記在不同的檔案
舉例來說我在文件A使用套索工具選取筆記，如果要複製到剪貼簿，必須圈選完點右邊的的更多選單，才能選取複製。不然就是要複製在該頁面，然後剪下，才能在文件B貼上筆記
此外，貼上的筆記的選單也跟圈選時不一樣，因為編輯有時候有特定且大量的操作，希望整個自訂功能可以完善，自訂出一條在個人使用特定幾個編輯功能可以最有效率的工具清單~1 vote -
zoom out
be able to zoom out, and allow the page to stay zoomed out. i would like to be able to have buffer room on the left and right of the page, as of right now, you can only zoom in, any attempt to zoom out (to see multiple pages at once, or understand where the edge of the page is) the page bounces back to fit the screen width.

[Lock Objects] Make lock harder to unlock
Now that lock has been implemented, I find it too easy to select the locked object, making writing on top of it difficult.
How about something like a long press to unlock or something like that so the locked item stays locked and unselected.

Grid spacing and ruler should follow standard measurements (2 squares = 1 cm)
I would like to suggest aligning the grid spacing and the ruler in GoodNotes with common measurement standards.
In many countries (for example in Europe), squared paper follows a standardized pattern where two squares equal exactly 1 cm. This standard is widely used in schools, universities, and technical work.
Currently in GoodNotes, however, two squares correspond to about 1.12 cm when measured with the built-in ruler. Because of this mismatch, the ruler becomes difficult to use for precise measurements or technical sketches. Lines drawn using the grid do not correspond correctly to real-world measurements.

Ingegneria, cerchi, caselle di testo
Buongiorno, sono uno studente di ingegneria e utilizzo questa app sin dai tempi del liceo. Devo dire che l’apprezzo molto
ed è quasi completa. Ma ci sono un paio di consigli che vi voglio dare per renderla perfetta almeno per uno studente che studia materie scientifiche.
1) aggiungete un puntino al centro di cerchi e di ellissi per riuscire a centrarle meglio in grafici ed in generale perché sarebbe molto utile e magari aggiungete la possibilità di creare un cerchio come su solid works partendo dal centro e disegnando solo il raggio.
