Feature to make a line „permanent“
Not sure how to describe this. But it is a hassle sometimes, that whenever i draw a graph for example and use different colors and sizes etc. to annotate it and then release i need to erase something which happens to cross over the lines of my graph, the graph would get erased as well.
So maybe an option to pin something like on Canva so it can‘t be edited anymore.

Index Written / Highlight
It would be nice if there were a way to index all pages written and make them available where one finds Thumbnails / Favorites / Outlines a way to go quickly review and find.
I will use when I have a normal document with a lot of pages, and I have to write some notes, o highlight something, and then quickly find in the documents my notes.

clipart storage
I like the idea of having a storage on camera button that has a drop-down menu to store clipart a person uses. For example in physics I use this clipart of a car or buildings alot to help quickly have free body diagrams. Having a drop-down menu of tables, pictures, and other tools saved for quick access would nice versus having to constantly copy, paste, or crop

to support for making backups the application DS File
I'm really supporting Good Notes, but for saving my notes for school, I would like to prefer DS File as my backup application, so that I can use my Synology NAS to do a backup.

Sort Pages
Good Day
quite a few companies use goodnotes on the flight deck. We regularly need to rearrange the pages in a special manner. Right now you can use the overview but you only can move one page by time. It really helps if you can mark several pages and move it to a specific spot.

Desync files
because all files are sync to the cloud (icloud/onedrove...) we should be able to desync some of them so they take less space but are still visible on the app. And re-download them when we need to

Lab notebook mode
I’d love to have a lab notebook mode where every page is automatically stamped with a date and time, and a locking button so that page can’t be written on after being locked, or can refer to that page by copying it, so as to meet lab notebook standards.

Email to GoodNotes directly into folder
Email to GoodNotes is a pretty handy automation feature, but it is quite annoying to get all the files in the "Home" directory. It would be really nice if it was possible to add the option to use a relative path to the home directory like '/university/cs1' as subject of the mail.
That way I could automatically import my scripts into GoodNotes and they would be there whenever I wanted to use them. Currently I have to search for the required script in the set of scripts forever, which costs me more time than downloading the scripts as soon as…

Automatic Heading Numbering & Grammarly Integration.
I create my notes off professors’ notes, and thus I need an option to go to a subsequent number when I hit enter. I still use Microsoft Word for this because GOODNOTES 5 doesn't offer this possibility. Also, it would be great if you could integrate GRAMMARLY to GOODNOTES 5.

Menu Bar for opened documents
It would be great to have a menu bar where you can see all the tabs of the different documents even if you go back to the main document menu.
Now if you want to go back to your open document you actually have to open another document from the main menu to get back to the view of the different tabs.
Please keep the tabs on display whereever you are in goodnotes. Would be super helpful6 votes -
Professional Engineering Drawings tools
I am an engineer.
I use GoodNotes all the time to produce flow diagrams at a professional level, good enough for tender documents.
It has become a much more useful tool than AutoCAD for this purpose.
I also use it to produce preliminary MEP drawings.
Basic measurement tool with a simple calibration Tool could help a lot.Thanks.

Two separate files/notebooks simultaneously visible on same tab (not split view]
I think split view is a useful tool to take advantage of but still not as efficient/user friendly as I’d like it to be.
Example: I want to read a pdf document and take notes of that content as I’m reading through the document. While split view can facilitate this situation, it takes too much screen space with all the tools. It’s also two separate documents that aren’t really linked/associated with each other.

different pens for pen and shape tool
Hi, I would prefer it if we were able to use different pens for pens and shapes. I personally like to write in a fountain pen font and draw shapes with a ballpoint pen, however, changing the pen style for shapes also changes it for the pen itself. Would appreciate having these two operate independently.

Easy Navigation between doc and library
It's not currently possible to go back to the document view without opening a document from the library. Maybe, we can hace a button for it.

Choose color for selected text highlight and strikeout/deletion
Currently, when selecting text in a PDF, you have the option to "strikeout" or "highlight" the selected text. As far as I can tell, when selecting one of these options, the only available color for highlighting is yellow and the only available color for strikeout is red. Please add a feature to allow users to choose the highlight color and the strikeout color for selected text.

Set default to “Import as New Document” for importing
I would like to be able to set the default option when importing to GoodNotes to be “Import as New Document” rather than “Import to Current Document” to help prevent, for example, accidentally inserting large documents to the middle of other large documents.
