I would really appreciate to have styles for text like in Word to save text formats (that's something I really miss in Goodnotes for IOS).

PLAYING AUDIO RECORDINGS IN IOS BACKGROUND (SCREEN LOCKED)
I WOULD FIND IT REALLY HELPFUL IF GOODNOTES GOT THE FEATURE TO PLAY RECORDED AUDIO FILES IN THE IOS BACKGROUND EVEN IF SCREEN IS LOCKED.

Study Set defaults to US English - add option to set your default language
The topic says it all really …
Currently the app preferences captures a setting for your language, with respect to handwriting recognition.
My suggestion is to extend that data point to also apply to the default language used when creating a new “Study Set” of flash cards.
The need to change this every time seems a failing on the part of the design…

Small lag and less smooth noticed compared to notability
Just happened to compare my writing on goodnotes & notability, goodnotes seems to have lag with my writing whereas notability is super smooth with an unnoticeable lag. Kindly look up to resolve as goodnotes is my favourite.

Detachable color palette for pen and marker
Detatch the color palette for markers and pens so you can change colors quickly and move wherever you want. The palette could be moved freely and displayed vertically or horizontally. The background could be translucent but the colors in the palette could be shown correctly (rn Night mode shows highlighters colors in a weird way)

Categories of bookmarks
I use one document for my work. And each day I need diferent pages. Now I need to delete all bookmarks and prepare bookmarks for another day. If I could do this preparation in advance for all the days with diferent packs of bookmarks, it would save lot of time.
Using outlines doesn't work for this need.

“Improved” Object Selection feature flaw
This feature (see attached) renders the option to toggle images on/off via the lasso tool useless. Instead, any tap on any image regardless of the tool being used will allow the image to move. This feature might be ok if image locking ever becomes an option, but for now it’s extremely frustrating when you’re working with layered images.

Option to deactivate presentation mode on iPadOS 16.2
iPadOS 16.2 added external monitor support. However, when I open a notebook in Goodnotes it messes with the size of my external monitor due to presentation mode automatically starting. I want to be able to deactivate it, so I can properly use my monitor.

Fix graphics in size when rotating
I always use goodnotes in math class. If I use a ruler as an image and then want to rotate it, the scale changes. this is very bad for a ruler. it would be a very good improvement of goodnotes if i could fix graphics so that the scaling no longer changes when you rotate them.

More pens
More textures for pens. Like pencil textures etc. Also, to be able to post templates or stickers for others to use. You could even pay users for designs and others get the designs if they but premium.

Unblurry Flashcards & Classify each Flashcard & Summary of Learning
The flashcards are blurry in learning modus. Thus, when you have written a little bit more on the cards, you are not able to read it anymore.
Further, it would be nice to have the possibility to classify each flashcard (with a little menu on the right hand side of each flash card). Then you could add for example all vocabularies and assign them to each chapter. When you enter the learning modus, you could tick the chapters which you want to learn.
In the end, a little summary of your learning would be nice. (How many ended at which…

Handwriting on M2 iPad not working
Could you please try handwriting on GoodNotes with the iPad M2, it is really strange and writes small lines at the end of each letter if you write fast. I believe that it is due to the pencil hoover feature, since this is implemented correctly on the apple app “notes” where the writing seems fine. Thanks

Flashcards template!
To be able to have a deck of flash cards as an option when creating new files. Would be great for studying ! keeping everything localized on goodnotes is optimal and removes the need of users to relocate to other sites/apps

Username and Password
It would be cool to have the option of logging into the app and have everything saved in my account in case I don’t want to/can’t use iCloud.

Links and videos
If you're not going to try to add voice recording to goodnotes, I think it would be just as helpful to add the ability to link websites, or paste videos into the notes the same way you'd attach a picture. GIFs would be fascinating as well.

Organic Chemistry Notebook Background
I need a template for organic chemistry--Specifically a hexagonal-lined notebook. These are imperative for note taking and problem solving in organic chemistry class and as I use Goodnotes mainly for my stem classes this would be very useful!

Timecode
It would be fantastic if there could be an hour/minute/second timer built into goodnotes. My purpose is for taking notes on movies and tv episodes since I work in post production, but I could see this being useful for taking notes during video lectures etc to be able to reference back to a certain timecode easily, or have a time of day stamped to notes. How I could see it implemented is pressing a tool in the toolbar, followed by pressing on the paper, dropping the timecode onto that spot. Maybe long pressing the tool could allow you to reset…
