Organize GoodNotes Community files
It would be nice to be able to organize the notes I post on GoodNotes Community into folders (ex. by class or subject) so it’s easier to navigate a person’s profile

Allow for animations to be made
For example, I want to see how a sorting algorithm works but it’s hard to see the steps by making a bunch of graphs. So being able to make a small animation will help visualize how something works without having to create a bunch of pages

select default font type and size
I have imported my own font to use, however, I am unable to use it as fast and efficiently as I wish because every time I create a new text box it goes to the standard font style and size

font change problems
I like to type down the notes. but as a Chinese, I type two languages.
When I type English with the TimesNewRoman font, and then I want to type Chinese, it changes into the font that I don’t like automatically.
What’s worse, when I want to type English again, it’s still using the font that i hate, this time it didn’t change automatically, I have to change the font by myself again, it’s so annoying.
Please save the default font by typing languages.
Please improve the experience of typing.5 votes -
Goodnotes needs more creative features
I love the app for studying and editing documents but I think the app is missing big features that would solidify its spot as the best note taking app in the App Store. The features that I feel would make the app 10x better: gifs, other short video replays, bigger library of stickers, different pen styles, dotted or other style lines, and more templates. Some of these are such easy add ons that it really doesn’t make sense why the developer haven’t done something about this already. Especially when countless other users have asked more these.

Create own PDF outlines and embed sections
I'd really like a way to set up Outlines for our notebooks so that each section has its own subsection. The subsection would be linked altogether (e.g., Chapter 1 is one, Chapter 2 is another, etc.)
That way, we could more easily drag and drop to reorder things in our notebook instead of having to tediously do each slide one-by-one!

Suggestion for the pen cursor on GoodNotes 5 for Mac
It could be good that if the pen cursor of GoodNoted 5 for Mac is changed to the cursor in OneNote (simply a small dot instead of a cross).

To make notes as readable and easy as possible, is it alright if you could add a few calligraphy tutorials. Thanks in advance!

Allow eraser to erase parts of pasted images
It would be awesome if eraser could erase parts of images i paste in. It would make edits to a scan or a screenshot so much easier. Currently i have to lasso a blank part of the page, take a screenshot of that empty blob and paste it over where i want to erase. Allowing the eraser to actually edit the pasted image would be really slick.

Top-bottom horizontal split view in portrait mode
Apple did not introduce a horizontal split view in portrait mode in iPadOS 15 and will probably not care to do so in the coming years.
Introduce a top-bottom horizontal split view in portrait mode, so that you can show a full-width part of a text book / lecture / exercise sheet at the top and your notes on the bottom on the 12.9 inch iPad.
Right now you need to switch between tabs. Every. Single. Time.
This is an essential feature for every student and a must-have for GoodNotes!5 votes -
Bookmarks "previous" and "next" buttons
When i am annotating lecture PDF, I read through one chapter and then want to skip to to the start to make notes into my mac. Being able to skip forward and backward to the closest bookmark would mean a word to me.
And I am not alone, am I?5 votes -
Page edge guide
It would be awesome to have “snap to” guide lines on the page to paste text lined up evenly on the edge (or wherever) on the page. I like to copy inspirational quotes and Bible verses and add them to my “Notebook”…it would be great if they could be lined up easily without adding to existing text boxes so they can easily be rearranged at any time.

Toolbar should be available at all the sides
Right now the toolbar is placed at the top or at the bottom. But while working and taking notes, it requires to change the tool from highlighter to pen or vice-versa many a time. And on IPAD PRO 12.9 Inch the reach is not easy to change the tool. So if the toolbar is placed vertically on both the side then it can reduce the efforts of user. Thank you for hearing out! Stay safe :)

Search for Drawing
It would be cool if I could search for a drawing in GoodNotes (example shown in the attached image). Currently, GoodNotes' search bar only accepts a text input, since GoodNotes uses Optical Content Recognition (OCR). The search feature would be even more powerful if I could also draw something in the search field, and find matching/similar occurrences of that drawing.
In addition to helping me search for diagrams, this would also help with searching for handwritten text that wasn't accurately converted using OCR.
Thank you for taking the time to review this! :)

Movable stickie notes or unselect highlighting when using lasso
I think it would be great if we were able to have movable sticky notes that would also move the text inside of it without affect any highlighting already resent on the page. Or being able to deselect highlighting when using the lasso tool so that I could move just my makeshift sticky notes.

Adding a small box with annotation in a highlight.
For example, when I highlight “carboxyl” I can click on the highlight, and BANG—a picture of carboxyl (that I drew in the annotation) pops up. Not only that, but in a pdf, when I highlight a text I can create my own comments in the small annotation box.
This resembles closely to the google docs Suggestion tool, except Goodnotes!

Simple theme based icons (similar to PowerPoint )
I would really love to see a lot more theme based icons which can be directly imported in a notebook. They would save a lot of time, since you don’t have to draw them manually anymore and they would improve learning by visualizing the topic!
This could be easily located in the new Sticker menu (with a search function).
A really good example is the icons menu in PowerPoint.
Example:
You type „school“
Icons: School Building Icon, Classroom icon, calculator icon etc.
I think it would be Important that these icons look very simple (Not fancy and colorful) just like…5 votes
