Improve Text and Recording function
Hi, I'm a user about Goodnotes since 2018.
I suggest a few things to improve the Goodnotes.
This writing was written including opinions of Goodnotes users around me.First, syncs of the Recording function and Text Box
When I record and write at the same time, the writing syncs with the time of the recording. But it doesn't work in text box mode.
So I recommend you to syncronize the time of the text coming out and the recorded audio.Second, Recording search function

Reverse Mod in Card's Smart Revise Regime
It would be useful to add reverse mod in Card's Smart Revise Regime so you can choose not only by the question but by the answer too. Same idea is now realized in Training Regime.

Study set : smart learning mode
When checking the answer in smart learning mode, I would like you to choose the action in which the card is turned back. Although the action of the card turning backwards is intuitive, it is difficult because it takes a long time to keep checking multiple things.

Different set of tools for each notebook
It would be nice if each notebook could store a set of tools. This would be to select the 3 sizes that the application allows you and a series of colors for a specific notebook, that is, that the sizes are not modified in general, but only for that notebook. This could be implemented with a padlock-like button to lock the settings for that notebook only.
It would be great for when you import a pdf of a different size from the notebook you usually use and you want to write on that pdf.4 votes -
Essential Text Formatting
It would be extremely beneficial to adopt some formatting options for text, bulleted lists, and outlines similar to typical document editing programs, such as Microsoft Word or Google Docs. While the app is currently great, the lack of an option to create an outline-style text box is a huge inconvenience. If you could make an outline with roman numerals and tab over for uniform subsections the app could save countless frustrating situations that students face having to use multiple document programs. Pen thickness changing easier?
Maybe an option of hold pressing on the thickness button and the ability to change the width by sliding pen up and down (to select the strokes), so we wouldn't have to open the stroke button every 2 seconds for switching?

Stop the "Paste, Add Comment" Box from showing up when writing slowly in Macos.
I use a graphic tablet (Gaomon 1060 pro) with Goodnotes on macos. When i write fast, the "Paste, Add Comment" Box doesn't appear . However, if i write slowly, the box keeps showing and hides my writing. I find that the box is very annoying.

Copy and paste text
In the most recent update you changed the copy and paste text to the formatting of where you copied it from instead of the formatting I already have on the text box. Please change it back to how it was before the update where whatever I copied and pasted is the same formatting I have in my text box!!

Cloze/fill-in-the-blank
There should be a tool that can do cloze on either text or diagrams, then when the a “test mode” is activated it hides the item and it has to be clicked to be revealed. This would work very well with the current flash card system. It is the only feature that is missing compared to other studying apps like Remnote or Anki.

Add an Equations text option or a better cloud sync
Similar to one note, word, etc - an option to type equations with shorthand such as \vec (to create a vector arrow), \pi for the pi symbol, etc is incredibly important for mathematics, engineering, physics and many other sciences. If Goodnotes 5 is to truly support all students, mathematical equation support in text format is a must. Goodnotes 5 is used above OneNote because printing onenote pages is actively a nightmare, but lack of support for maths, and an inability to sync any handwritten equations immediately with a live sync or force cloud sync feature is a huge issue.

Flash card Notifications
Could you please add flash card notifications, where goodnotes sends out a notification when it’s the recommended time to study the flashcards again? Like helping the spaced practice be more effective by prompting the user it’s time to review those cards again?
And also have a todo list within the goodnotes app itself on the side which shows the sets that need to be done, and the tasks only go away once you do them with a satisfying animation.

Pretty much the title, just like normal documents you can share the flashcards with one link and can collaborate and real time add on to it with your friends.

Support for 120Hz display iPad Pro
Can you add support for 120hz writing, it makes writing notes much more responsive.

bookmark icon overing over page instead
I miss the bookmark icon too, but I also understand that toolbar space gets scarce - there might even be other features upcoming that need it.
So why not overlay the bookmark icon/button on the actual page - in the top left or right corner, like every ebook reader app does?
(Zooming and scrolling ensures it could not cover up something on the page.)4 votes -
Toggle Menu like in Notion
Toggle Menu like the one in Notion would be a game changer for Goodnotes. It will help me as a medical student to recap and memorize my notes in an organized way, leave Notion and use only one app that has everythig i need.

Selecting of stickers
It would be nice if you use a sticker of a sticky note (for example) and you write on it you can select this sticker with the writing on it without selecting the text underneath the sticker. Just like in real life, you write something on a sticky note, stick it in your notebook and then remove it again without removing what's in your notebook.

I hope there's a function that allows me to collect all the comments written in the document and share only the comments.

icloud refresh button
I often work on my laptop and ipad at the same time, adding pages from my laptop files and filling them out on my ipad. I frequently have to turn of and on icloud sync in settings on both devices to make it refresh faster.
A button to do this automatically while working on a note would be appreciated

iCloud folder directly in GoodNotes
Don't always download files from iCloud and then load them back into Goodnotes. Where is the sense? Direct folder linking from iCloud folders in GoodNotes 5 would improve the work process enormously. For example, open PDF files directly and edit them in GN and then close them with one click and everything is saved in iCloud again.

Set a different default template for each folder or notebook
I use a lot of different custom templates for the work that I do. It would save me an immense amount of time if I could set a different default template for each folder. Example: if I open my folder of customer orders and start a quick note, it automatically uses the template I’ve created for taking orders that customers phone in because I’ve set that as the default template for THAT folder. When I open my interviews folder and start a quick note the default template would be the questionnaire that I use when interviewing applicants. Please!
