1. Allow us to PIN a few tabs from all the currently open tabs

   So let's say I'm opening 20 different lectures on goodnotes at the same time as well as one file with a checklist of all my lectures. Once I finish I lecture I have to go searching and hunting around all my open tabs for that checklist file in order to tick that lecture off. It's very annoying. I really want to just pin that checklist file because its something I like to keep open on goodnotes all the time and its a document I need to return to all the time. Allow us to pin up to three tabs and fixate their position as the first three tabs so that they're always easy to reach.

   Google chrome does something very similar to this. I am attaching a video link below showcasing what google chrome offers. Please please please this would be a game changer for my workflow and productivity.

   During exams, the number of open tabs on goodnotes can exceed the 40s and it becomes so cluttered when I try to look for a certain file. Yes technically I can exit the tab I'm opening and go back to "home" and search for the file but thats slow.

   ext Doc is great for writing thanks to its clean block structure and keyboard-friendly design. However, one thing that would make it even more powerful is the ability to add inline drawing areas—similar to how Apple Notes lets you sketch directly within your notes and resize the drawing space as needed.
   When I'm taking notes during meetings or documenting ideas, I often need to quickly sketch diagrams or jot down visual thoughts alongside the text. Right now, I have to choose between using a traditional notebook that supports drawing but isn’t ideal for typing, or using Text Doc and keeping a separate app open for sketches—which breaks the flow and feels clunky.
   Adding inline drawing support would make Text Doc a more complete tool for capturing both written and visual information in one place.

4. Typing/Text Box Needs Improvement

   I enjoy typing most of my notes but then adding drawings/figures underneath them, but I find the text feature to be lacking and very frustrating. Specifically the bullet point list needs to be updated and there should be more options to tab lists (like on google docs). Also sometimes when I go back into a text box it will start typing the letters below the previous word. I just find the text box feature super glitchy and could be improved.

5. Release iPad storage after syncing

   The current version only provides iCloud synchronization function, but after synchronization, the storage space on the device cannot be released like iCloud file management.

   It is recommended to add the function of releasing hard disk space after cloud synchronization is completed.

6. Free rotate pages

   FREE ROTATE ON PAGES!!!!

   Moving the physical iPad from side to side is NOT efficient. Being able to freely rotate a page to write at an angle would be SO much more helpful, when taking notes, doodling, or simply to look at the notes from a different angle.... I really would love to see this implimented as this is the biggest flaw goodnotes has as a program!

8. Please collaborate with Notion

   I’m a huge note-taking by both typing and writing, and I’m also need a solid system to organize it—that’s why I use Notion. It would be nice to have database system like Notion, or even ideal to collaborate with Notion!

9. Export/copy transcript feature improvements

   I love the audio transcription feature and use it regularly for work. Right now, however, it's not easy to navigate the transcripts because they all compile into the same space and you can't jump to the most recent transcript. So, I'd love to see some changes to how the transcripts are organized:

   1. Revamp the way transcripts are organized. Allow users to jump from one transcript to another, just like you can with the recording drop down menu. The current navigation feature makes goes immediately to the first transcript recorded, which is a real problem if you have a lot of transcripts!

   2. Allow users to copy a single transcript instead of making them copy all of the transcripts, which can be hundreds or more pages. It's nice that you can copy individual audio clips, but trying to copy longer sections of a conversation means you have to either copy all of the transcripts you've ever recorded or go clip by clip. There needs to be a middle ground.

    This would be great for example in teaching anatomy, simply search images, import it and crop freehand, layer it, then have a slider to go over the layered freehand cropped pics. From clothed person, muscles, organs, skeletal, nerves, and veins…

    For architects or home design, picture a scene, search for plants, furniture, objects and people. Then you can present it to make an impact. From a simple scene, to an idea that you can pitch with impact.

13. GoodNotes 6 Performance Issues and Bugs

    I installed GoodNotes a year ago and paid for the lifetime version because it worked great. But in the past few months, the app has been having issues: when inserting images and writing, the strokes disappear; when switching between apps, the screen freezes; the Lasso tool doesn’t work properly; when using a linked PDF, it randomly jumps to the first or last page. I upgraded from a 10th-generation iPad to a 13-inch iPad Air M3, but the issues persist. This is seriously affecting my productivity.

14. More Fonts for Typing Mode

    It would be nice if we were able to use more than 1 default font in typing mode. The feature is useful and could be upgraded to be like the text box feature to include numerous fonts to choose from and to be able to use custom fonts like other popular note-taking apps such as Notability and Freenotes.

15. Recognition and saving of hand written notes from notes taken on paper

    I really like the app so far, but I also feel nostalgic about writing with a proper pen on proper paper. So I wondered, given the brilliant handwriting recognition of your app, wouldn’t it be possible to import handwritten text via OCR keeping the handwritten form without converting it. So I could eventually write with my stylus and eventually write on paper integrating the text seamlessly with the text written with stylus. Unfortunately there is no other application able to do this at the moment, but I think it would be something beneficial for everybody who likes the personal touch of handwriting and still loves to write on paper from time to time. Would be great if it was possible to copy paper notes with their personal character directly into a notebook in Goodnotes. Thanks a lot and keep up the good work.

16. Pin Notes & Folder Option for Quick Access of current project/study/work

    I truly appreciate the powerful note-taking experience that GoodNotes offers. However, I would love to see a Pin Notes feature and a Quick Access Folder option to enhance workflow efficiency.

    Currently, navigating between different notes for ongoing study, work, or projects requires extra steps, which can be time-consuming. A pinned notes section would allow users to keep frequently used documents easily accessible.

17. Hide each tape color in one click

    Pleaseee make a feature where we can hide and unhide tapes in one click and have the option to do so with EACH tape color at a time. Something similar to KiloNotes! It just takes too long to individually press the tapes when we need to review!

19. extending pdf

    In Note+ or other apps, they can extend the page by adding some space on the left or right. Personally, our professor talks a lot and I need a lot of space to take notes on. So, if you make a feature of extending more space to the pdf page, I would really appreciate it. I'll upload the file of the Note+ app.
