Create new notebook/folder when moving pages
There should be an option to create a new folder or notebook when trying to move a page from an existing notebook. Now you have first of all to create the new notebook and then come back to the existing notebook and then to move the page.

Adding a Highlighter to Flashcards
Being able to underline/highlight key words (or change colour of text) when making flashcards (in the text section) to make it easier to study. As someone with dyslexia this would be really useful as well as being able to choose what colour i want to highlight so i can see things better!

Learning set
I hope the font size could be bigger than now as overview of learning set.
It’s really hard to find the specific card from a big learning set.

zoom window
GoodNotes 6 (GN6) Zoom Window Tools
In GoodNotes 4, the Zoom Window had convenient controls at the top, allowing users to easily change colors, erase, and undo without needing to navigate to the top menu. This feature was incredibly useful, and its removal in subsequent versions has been puzzling.
Please consider reintroducing these controls in GN6, as they significantly enhance the app’s usability. Many users have requested this functionality since GN5, so it would be highly appreciated.

Backup/sync for version 175421-rc2
At this Time (11/2024) there is no backup or sync function in Goodnotes for Android version 175421-rc2.
I have to export each document to a pdf that I move into my Nextcloud directory. Unsafe and not convenient.

Back to editing from file/home screen (iPad)
When I have a document open and I want to open another, I hit the home icon in the top left and it pulls up the file organizer. AFAIK there is no way to leave this file menu to re-enter the editing screen without opening a document. As in, remembering which files were already open to “open them again” or just open any file and then close its tab once I am back in the editing screen. As a teacher, I am an enthusiastic user of your software, just like many of my students. Since we have a projector in every classroom, the digital notebook replaces traditional blackboard writing in my lessons. Instead, I write in Goodnotes and show this live to my class via the projector.

highlighter preset per document
I think it would be super useful to have an option to save presets per documents. I have different notebooks for subjects in school and want to use different colors per document but don’t want to have to change my presets every time. so one notebook could be different pinks and one can be greens and one can be different colors.

Keyboard and text box navigation
Please add navigation keys. The on screen keyboard only can navigate text lines by going left to right I would like to navigate up and down as well. When I get frustrated I usually attach my Bluetooth key board but that defeats the purpose of a tablet. It’s not always easy to do the long press with the space bar bc the cursor in iOS is janky and will overshoot. I don’t always have my pencil which sometimes solves the issue

Scribble on Flashcards - Fill in blanks, Label diagrams, circle the correct answer...
So, at the moment, you have "Scratch Paper", But why not extend that to the flashcard itself? For example when studying music, I might have a piano keyboard on the flashcard and ask for a c chord. I could then colour it in and flip the card to see if I was correct... this would also allow you to "label diagrams" fill in blanks in sentences, "complete the equation" etc... it has endless uses and it would be a powerful feature that no other apps currently have... that i am aware of

Give option for a list view of notes (to show full title name)
Please add this feature, so we can read full file names of PDFs we upload. If some are too similar, you have to open each to check each file. But once open you still can't see the full file name to be positive you've opened the correct one... For example if the name ends in revision date

Backing up notes when they erase by themselves
I use this app to take notes and study for big exams. But at times all my progress just erases and it's frustrating. I want to be able to back this up and get everything because this is just wrong. all studying and hours of work are down the drain.

Audio Recording features to take this feature up levels!
Hi, I am a new Goodnotes user, and selected this app for two reasons: 1) ease of use, 2) audio recording. I think the app is great! As I will be using audio recording a lot, could you please add the features below to audio recording?:
1) Repeat.
Could you add a button that would allow your recording to loop, replaying the recording continuously? This would help greatly when you want to hear the content over and over.2) Improved edit for audio.

better Trackpad support for the GoodNotes app
Currently, it’s not possible to use the trackpad for actions like deleting notifications or navigating within study sets. For example, you cannot swipe between flashcards in study sets with the trackpad, which makes the navigation feel clunky and inconsistent. Adding trackpad support for these things would greatly improve the user experience both on iPadOS and macOS.
