Iโd like a paper template that uses the solid & dashed lines for handwriting practice. Many of us are new to writing on a tablet, and GoodNotes is sophisticated enough for practice to matter. Iโm talking about paper lined like this:

Import Email message directly to Goodnotes
I want to import Outlook email messages into Goodnotes.
Currently I use a computer to print the email as a pdf and send it to myself that I import directly into goodnotes.
Is there a faster way? Can I do this on the iPad without needing a computer to print the email?Can you create an app

Is it possible to add the feature wheren one would be able to copy a part of the text from a notebook and paste it in another notebook.

Edit selected text and option to go back to the text box!!!!
I'm a student so sometimes while typing my notes, my professor makes an error or changes something so I can't go back to the text box to edit it. Also, whenever I want to bold one word or sentence, the entire sentence gets bolded. You guys should change this and allow us to only bold, italicize, and underline the words we want. Also, please please PLEASE give us the option to go back to our text box that we were typing in.

More space for note taking
I would like GoodNotes to allow unlimited note-taking space when working with PDFs. Currently, notes can only be written directly on the PDF pages, which is limiting. It would be very helpful to have expandable space around or beside the pages to add more detailed notes. Additionally, features like side notes, connecting lines, and more flexible layouts would improve the overall note-taking experience and make it easier to organize and connect ideas.

Categorize
Hi goodnotes is my go to app and searching accros 500 folders is becoming tedious so allowing pdf to have "tags" for example: my course note in algebra I put the tags "Course note" and "Algebra" and I can filter and find It in 2 seconds instead of putting it in favorite and look at all the others files that are favorited.

[Lock Objects] Complete Lock Support for All Objects (Including Handwriting) + Grouping for Lock
Thank you for making it available to lock images, sticky notes
shapes, and textboxes. Please make it available for handwritten notes, elements, arrows, connectors cannot be locked. Furthermore, it would be awesome if you could also group and lock images, sticky notes, shapes, textbooks, handwritten notes, elements, and connectors together.9 votes -
Swipe to edit flashcards
I need to be able to swipe through the flashcards IN THE EDITOR. I do NOT want to go back to thumbnail view, click on the next card, check if it has an error, go back to thumbnail view, swipe down, click the next card, remember which card I just opened, etc! I donโt want to do this to add a new flashcard either!!!!!

Add a way to close file navigator and return to document tabs
There are two view modes in Goodnotes:
- File navigation
- Documents tabs (the documents already open)
We can switch from 2 to 1.
But for some baffling reason there is no way to simply switch from 1 to 2. Instead there is only the contrived way of having to open any file in order to return to 2.
I do not know why Goodnote's UI/UX team has been thinking all these years that that be an okay solution. No other programme does this and it is counterintuitive.
Could you please add this? It's so easy to do. E.g. you could addโฆ

Align and space shapes
Love the new shapes tool but it would very useful if shapes (or in a broader sense also all other objects like images, text, stickers, etc.) could be aligned and spaced out evenly to make notes look more professional.
Also the option to eg. center elements on the page via an x/y axis. There could be an option to turn automatic snapping/ guidelines on or off.
It is very difficult to eyeball objects to be consistently spaced and aligned and often results in pages not looking consistent.

Enable the creation of equations directly with the keyboard, as in Word for example. Latex or Unicode equations
Please, could you add the option of being able to insert equations and characters directly with the keyboard. Just as it is done in Microsoft Word, it would help and speed up the process of inserting and writing equations directly with the keyboard of the iPad or computer

Window and GoodNotes (Apple) Integration
On Windows 11, the GoodNotes app doesn't work as well as I would like.
The documents written in GoodNotes doesn't sync onto the Windows 11 app. Instead, I have to share them VIA a link and access them that way. I also use gDrive to sync my GoodNotes, but the UI of viewing GoodNotes files on gDrive is just ... ugly... Would much rather prefer to use GoodNotes on Windows 11 and my iPad.9 votes -
Fully fledged Math integration
Now that graphs are an option, I would like to see this being improved and features being added. I use GoodNotes for maths a lot and I would want to add two graphs in one graph view, set an interval to a graph, recolor the graphs, display intersections with other graphs or the x-axis, support for calculus and equation solving algorithms to find parameters for a polynomial, for instance. That would be beneficial.

Improve handwriting to text converter by removing newlines
Right now, when I convert my handwriting to text with the lasso tool, it also converts all the newlines. Any time I went to the next line because the line was full, the text now does to too. However, since text is more space-efficient, the newlines are placed randomly. There is no fast way of removing them, and when I ask AI to do it, it always changes some words as well, which I don't want. Can there be a way the converter understands my page layout or a button that just removes all newlines at once?

Reinstitute object selection toggle
Please put the object selection toggle back. When a writing tool, I do not want to select an image without purposely using the lasso tool. It makes writing on images difficult.

Please revise the shape snap after latest update and the new arrow feature
So I don't hate the new update, but there are some things that could be a little better. Then new tool bar is taking a bit to get used to, but I genuinely like it. One of my biggest problems is the updated snap to shape. I would like to Goodnotes to snap into shape, but I would like it closer to what I am trying to draw. For example, Goodnotes will not snap into a hexagon to draw organic molecules.
On another note, I see real potential with the arrows for the new shape update. I really like theโฆ

Reverse updates to keyboard of September/October 25 update
I just want to be able to have everything in front of me without pressing a billion different buttons for the sake of cleanness. Give me the keyboard button back and put all the customization buttons right below the toolbar, just like it was before, I am begging you.

I need to change fonts in Windows version!!
Dear Good Notes team,
Iโd like to make a small suggestion that I believe would make the experience even better: the ability to change fonts in the Windows version. Right now, only one font is available, and it would be amazing to personalize our notes with different styles, just like in the iOS and macOS versions. This would help make our notes more organized, creative, and tailored to each userโs needs.
