Hide flashcards
I would like to be able to mark which flash cards I don’t want to study, just like you can mark a page as favourite. Because I made flashcards for my entire chapter, but I only need to study certain things from that chapter. It would be nice to just be able to disable s the flashcards you don’t want to study.

zoom study
We really need a zoom feature for study cards as they are so small I NEED TO WEAR GLASSES TO READ THEM AND I STILL CANT SEE IT CLEARLY!

Photo scaling from one anchor point
To scale imported photos with one point pined and then drag one of the other points to the ideal location. This is more convenient in locating the photo in the place you want than the current scaling photos from the middle.

Please add scanner mode in the camera
When inserting a picture taken by camera at real time, I need the scanned version, rather than the original picture. This function is supported by OneNote a long time ago, and they call it "Blackboard" mode in the camera. I hope this can be added to GoodNotes as well. Thank you~

free rotation of the paper
use 2 fingers to zoom in AND free rotate the paper to write in an angle without the need of rotating the ipad itself

TEXT COLOURS
Please allow custom colour palettes for text. AND the ability to have mixed colours in a single text block. At the moment if you change the colour of part of a text block, the UI changes the WHOLE block.

Möglichkeiten zur Sortierung von Gliederung
Ich benutze GoodNotes für mein Studium und es wäre eine hilfreiche Funktion wenn man die Gliederung von Notizbüchern einrücken bzw. in ein- und ausklappbare Ordner Sortieren könnte. So würde vor allem die Navigation und Übersichtlichkeit von besonders langen Notizbüchern verbessert werden.

Remove text box
I love GoodNotes but the most tedious thing I dislike about the program is my handwriting. It would be amazing if the text box could be configured for a general use so you can write how you would with the pen but it converts to a preinstalled font. I have so much trouble with the text box adjusting them to the side, trying to go to the next line without using the keyboard, moving the text box.

Let user be able to customize the keyboard shortcut
The situation is
- some user who use secondary language need to switch back to EN before they can use keyboard shortcut
- some use prefer to use Cmd+1, Cmd+2, Cmd+3 ,...
so it wound be better to let user customize the keyboard shortcut their own way
(including shortcut for each 1st - 3rd color of highlight and pen)

Small Grid Paper Template
When buying paper notebooks the most common page designs are:
- lines
- grid SIZE: medium
- grid SIZE: small
Please make a template for a small grids, as they are extremely helpful for STEM students. Could even be used by artists by using the template for their creations and later on changing the template t blank.

Highlight in dark paper should be under pen
On dark paper when you highlight after writing, the highlighter goes over the pen instead of under, which is bothersome. Would prefer if y'all made it so that the default is highlight goes under pen no matter what the color of the paper is.

Allow adding images or icons to folder.
For documents we can easily add an image as first page and it will show up as icon. Plz add something simillar for folders as well. It will be very useful for easier Navigation

Add a menu item to duplicate a selection with one tap
Add a "Duplicate" item to the selection pop-up menu so one can duplicate a selection with one tap instead of having to first select copy, then press-and-hold to show the pop-up menu, then select paste.
The duplicated selection’s position could be determined by available canvas space or simply be shown slightly overlapping the original selection.
I’ve attached an image showing the desired behaviour.

Other Platform and Third party cloud services support
It has been long time since GoodNotes announced on Twitter that they are planning to bring the app on different platforms but there is no app for Windows and android after years.
If you can’t sync to Windows and android using iCloud please use Google Drive or any other third-party cloud service and please bring app to Windows, android and Web. Microsoft has already achieved this way earlier and should not be difficult for you as well.
Every time I brought up this issue, you guys give same reason that you are looking for good engineers, is it the case…

Flash card open image
In order to see details of pictures in a flash card, would like a feature to select the image and have it pop-out into a zoomable window to review details.

customized cursor to show where apple pencil is hovering on surface
I use the app to teach mathematics and computer science lectures to college students in online mode. One very important feature that is missing at present is that students have to use their attention to determine WHERE on the slide or notebook I am presently writing (i.e. they need to determine where new writing is showing up). Whereas, in a physical classroom, it's easy to see where the professor is and where in the blackboard he/she is writing or modifying a diagram. It would be nice if one could have a big red arrow show up wherever I am writing…

Smoothness of Handwriting (Apple Pencil)
I've been using GoodNotes 5 since it had been launched. I found that my handwriting was not as good as in Notability. The ink in GoodNotes 5 seems to lag. I feel like it tries to bend my stroke all the time and I'm quite annoying this. I've tried to set the pressure sensitivity to low, medium and high, however, it stills bending everytime. So I have to write slower in order to make a beautiful handwriting and sometimes it wastes a lot of time!
Ps. I've used GoodNotes 4 before too. The GoodNotes 4 doesn't have this problem.9 votes
