Bookmarks with Titles
I would like the option in GoodNotes 5 to be able to give a title to a bookmark. This was available in the previous version, and I think it would be a good to reinstate this.

Add Presentation mode where the double tap of the new Apple pencil will changes slides
A Presentation mode where it is full screen and double tapping the apple pencil changes slide/page allowing your apple pencil to double as a presentation remote

Add more bluetooth Stylus' support
There are so many on the market Bluetooth stylus that could be added to the system like GN 4 had. I run off of an older ipad so I cannot use the apple pencil. Because of this i use the Adonit Pixel which is rated as one of the top aftermarket Bluetooth stylus' in one of your own articles. Apple pencil is not the one and only stylus on the market

Hole Punched Template
Have a hole punched paper template option so that people are able to see where the holes will be if they are printing it. I sometimes have to print documents from GoodNotes and place them in a binder so it would be helpful to know where certain objects/text would get cut off.

The ability to use the app on my surface pro!
I hate that I can't use Goodnotes on my Surface Pro, My job is office based, we don't have ios, and it sure would be nice to use my digital planner...or at least a web based option.

Be able to zoom outside the page borders
When you zoom in/out the borders snap to the edges of the ipad.
It can feel especially cramped when i'm trying to write at the top left of the page or when i'm nearing the bottom of the paper.

Unlock Constraints
I'd like to resize images to fit another space on my page but I can't make it look nice because I can only resize proportionately. Let us unlock constraints so if I want something long and skinny or short and fat ect I can. I hate the resizing being locked.

allow quick-select options for highlighters in the zoom box, and also different widths for the pen quick-selects
fully customisable quick select options on the zoom box to allow us to have heading-width pen size and colours and different highlighter colours all just a single tap away.

The shape and line recognition feature is great but would be even better if I could draw a filled shape.

Is it possible to add the feature wheren one would be able to copy a part of the text from a notebook and paste it in another notebook.

layers
I think a layer feature would be incredibly useful for learning. With layers, I could organize content much more effectively: for example, I could draw or write something on one layer and place the explanation on a separate layer underneath.
From a learning perspective, this would be especially helpful because I could first work with the top layer on my own and then reveal the lower layer afterward to check the explanation or solution. That would make the learning process much more interactive and structured.
I have seen a similar function in Free Note, where you can use different layers…

Categorize
Hi goodnotes is my go to app and searching accros 500 folders is becoming tedious so allowing pdf to have "tags" for example: my course note in algebra I put the tags "Course note" and "Algebra" and I can filter and find It in 2 seconds instead of putting it in favorite and look at all the others files that are favorited.

Align and space shapes
Love the new shapes tool but it would very useful if shapes (or in a broader sense also all other objects like images, text, stickers, etc.) could be aligned and spaced out evenly to make notes look more professional.
Also the option to eg. center elements on the page via an x/y axis. There could be an option to turn automatic snapping/ guidelines on or off.
It is very difficult to eyeball objects to be consistently spaced and aligned and often results in pages not looking consistent.

Writing while audio is paused.
I use audio recordings to complete my notes afterwards. However, when I pause to start writing, the audio jumps to the beginning. In previous versions, as far as I remember, the audio stayed paused and my notes were added at that point, so when I replayed the audio, the notes appeared exactly where I wanted them to.
(It works when the sidebar is large, but not when it is minimized)

Window and GoodNotes (Apple) Integration
On Windows 11, the GoodNotes app doesn't work as well as I would like.
The documents written in GoodNotes doesn't sync onto the Windows 11 app. Instead, I have to share them VIA a link and access them that way. I also use gDrive to sync my GoodNotes, but the UI of viewing GoodNotes files on gDrive is just ... ugly... Would much rather prefer to use GoodNotes on Windows 11 and my iPad.8 votes -
Laser
Since the recent update, the laser got to make layers by each stroke. But it’s very inconvenient when I am writing letters, as the previous stroke shows up darker and the handwriting gets so messy.. please change it back so it can be used with one layer.
