Lefthanders - simple but gamechanging feature
When we left-handed people (and i guess it’s the same problem for right-handed people at the right side of the page) write on goodnotes , we cannot rest the left hand on the screen of the ipad while writing when beginning a sentence, because the paper cannot be moved around. So our hand is always partly on the edge of the ipad partly on the table.
So if it was possible to pull and push the paper around on the ipad as we want, we could calmly rest our left hand on the screen when writing. To understand what i…

view annotated pages
Sometimes we import a whole pdf into goodnotes and annotate some of the pages. it would be nice to be able to easily search and extract all the pages that have annotation to serve as a quick reviewer.

OCR for imported documents
If it was possible to import a document and then be scannable would be a godsend for those who need big chunks of text, are trying to look up words or are learning a language. Even those who need text to speech would be able to copy the scannable text and use it quickly.

Favourite document from within document
Currently the only way to favourite a document is from the file browser. It would be very handy to be able to favourite from within an already open document.
Also the star/favourite button on thumbnails is not present in search results.

Change background colour in imported documents
Making it able to change the colour of the background of the imported documents so it looks more like a real paper page could improve the reading experience, while one is studying and making notes. Since the background in the notebooks are designed after this concepts, it seems weird that it is a neglected feature for the imported documents.

Hex Selector and Palettes
Give us a Hex selector tool that we can use to select a color from a portion of a pre-created notebook to match the theme of the notebook. Right now we have to use an external Hex color selector and upload a picture to that program and then go back to Goodnotes to input that Hex code to get the color. Also, give us the option to create palettes that we can quickly select back and forth between colors that we have curated.

Make the colour palette visible
When I wanted to add new colours to the palette by typing in the hex number, I couldn’t see the number as I can’t scroll.

Theme system
I love GoodNotes. But a feature I’d like to see is one wherein the background and ink colors change when toggling between dark and light modes. The iOS notes apps does this, but it’s just a terrible note taking app. Maybe the option to toggle between date and light mode, with accommodating background and ink color inversions, could be an option within the app. Thanks.

Creating Pallets
Hey! I know the app allow us to choose new colours and add them to a big pallete, but instead of thtat, it would be even great if we could create more than one pallete for different documents. Like this...

Accept the user's rotation of scans
This is more of a bug report than a feature request, and it concerns the rotation of scanned documents from my iPad's camera.
When importing a scan into GN using GN's own "Scan Documents" feature, the user is permitted to change the rotation, crop, and color scheme (b&w, color, etc) of the scan. This happens after the picture is taken with the camera. I frequently have to rotate a page 90 degrees to correct the text direction, but no matter what rotation I chose, GN imports it to a notebook with the original orientation. Very often, this creates a mismatch…

Machine learning handwriting autocorrect
Use machine learning/AI to (optionally) record and catalog handwriting and be able to autocorrect handwritten text. Would be fantastic if it could also match sizes and styles of surrounding texts. After enough cataloging, it could even create a font with your handwriting.

Pen that writes similarly to the Apple Notes / Scribble one
I would love a pressure sensitive ball pen! I cannot make my writing look nice in any of the pens currently offered in GoodNotes - the fountain pen is too pressure sensitive, and the ball pen has no pressure sensitivity at all.
GoodNotes outdoes every other note taking app I have used in every respect except the pen - my notes look much, much nicer in other apps, but they do not have the functionality I need, which GoodNotes offers.
I would be sooo grateful for this feature!

screenshot
I use a lot of screenshot capture using a noose.
In this case, the image quality drops a lot.I wish it could be modified to convert the PDF into an image.
In this case, an image of 300 dpi will be less degraded. 600dpi is great.7 votes -
Enhanced Collaboration Options
I share my Bullet Journal with a virtual assistant so she knows what I’m working on and can pick up tasks from it. But sharing for collaboration is all or nothing — every notebook and full editing permissions. Read-only permissions and collaboration on a single notebook would be helpful.

Support the ability to export deep links
Deep links are a game-changing feature of apps like Craft. They allow me to save a link in the form appname://open?fileID=xxxxxx which is fantastic for archiving, planning, references, and other workflows. I don’t want to use shareable links for this purpose because it’s less efficient.
I hope the suggestion is useful!

resize multiple items at once
Since you are able to select multiple pngs to move at once, it seems logical that you should be able to resize multiple PNGs at once. Similarly, being able to drag multiple PNG files into a goodnotes notebook at once would be amazing ( I heard this was previously a feature that went away).
