2. Changing emails

   Being able to change emails.due to update I had realise that I had purchased the onetime deal on my school email I through it would be under my Apple ID which was a stupid mistake.due to going to university now I would like to change it to my own personal email as the school email may soon be deleted.i try to find anything related but no answer so far

3. Direct Document Access: Edit and Sync PDFs in GoodNotes from iCloud and Local Folders

   Situation:
   As a frequent user of GoodNotes, my primary activity involves editing PDF files. I import numerous documents into the app to annotate and review them using my Apple Pencil. These edits include highlighting key information and jotting down spontaneous thoughts. Once edited, I export these PDFs to store them in my personal file system, including iCloud, for access through various other tools like Obsidian or Adobe Acrobat Pro.

   Improvement:
   I propose an enhancement where GoodNotes can directly link to specific folders on iCloud or local storage on a MacBook. Instead of importing PDFs into GoodNotes' internal storage, this feature would allow GoodNotes to display and edit PDFs directly from their original locations. Any changes made within GoodNotes would automatically update the original PDF files in their respective folders.

   Benefits:
   This integration would streamline the workflow significantly by:
   • Reducing Redundancy: Eliminate the need for multiple imports and exports of the same file, saving time and storage space.
   • Enhancing Productivity: Allow for a more fluid transition between GoodNotes and other applications, facilitating a more integrated digital workspace.
   • Maintaining File Integrity: Ensure that all annotations and edits are directly saved to the original file, maintaining a single, consistent version.
   Call to Action:
   If you also juggle between GoodNotes and other applications for file access and editing, you understand the value of seamless integration. Support this suggestion to bring more flexibility and efficiency to our GoodNotes experience, making it a true powerhouse for PDF management.

4. Lock function is required

   Lock function is required

   When I memorize and exercise, I want to rewrite the content on the page after finishing work.
   In this case, lock function is required so that previously made part can not be erased.

   Entire page deleting function is required after rewriting.

   Implement granular backup options to allow users to:

   Choose specific folders and files for backup
   Choose where the specific folders are stored withing the cloud
   Define individual backup schedules

7. Fit Ruler to squared and dotted paper templates

   Two dots on the dotted paper templates are a little over 1.1 cm apart on the ruler. It would be great for drawing graphs if they are 1 cm apart, so the templates fit the ruler. The same issue applies to the squared paper.

9. Changing font size of font and font style on keyboard function (Keyboard Menu)

   When using keyboard function on the menu bar I can only change the style and formatting to the pre-set styles. I would like to have the ability to change Font size, Font style (Helvatica, Arial, etc.) I can do this on the Pen menu but not on the keyboard menu.

    Allow a sidebar menu link to allow opening a document from recent history across devices.

    Useful when we don’t want to save it as a favourite but have opened in another device and want to pick up from where you left.

13. Typing columns

    The ability to create your own columns on a blank sheet of paper so that you are able to use the entire page and not just the left/middle/right of the page.

    Also the two and three column template is currently broken and will only let you write in one of the columns (as seen in the attached image)

    1. Make the flashcards more like Anki, where it allows you to choose your own spaced repetition based on your ability to recall the cards. Instead of just having right for good and left for bad.
    2. Ability to turn notes into flashcards immediately like RemNote.

    I am writing to share some feedback that I believe could significantly enhance the user experience of your application on Windows.

    Customizable Keyboard and Mouse Shortcuts:

    It would be immensely helpful if users were granted the ability to customize their own keyboard and mouse shortcuts. This personalization would allow for a smoother workflow and could cater to the individual preferences and habits of each user.

    Default Cursor Tool:

    I have noticed that the app currently requires users to manually select the cursor or image tool to perform basic actions like selecting elements or moving images. For an improved user experience, it would be beneficial to set the Windows cursor as the default tool. This way, users can immediately interact with the elements on their screen without any additional clicks.

    Direct Tool Selection via Keyboard:

    The current default keyboard shortcuts, such as 'I' for image, 'P' for pen, and 'H' for highlight, are not particularly user-friendly and can disrupt a seamless workflow, especially when working extensively with a keyboard. To address this, I propose the implementation of a more intuitive and efficient system. For example, assigning the numbers 1/2/3/4 to instantly switch between the cursor, pen, erase, highlight, and forms tools would significantly expedite the process and enhance productivity. Additionally, the capability to alter the pen type directly through the assigned pen tool key would add a welcomed layer of convenience and speed.

    Improvements to Image/PDF Opening Mechanism:

    I have noticed a slight issue with the current mechanism for opening images and PDFs. The app seems to be programmed to open Windows Explorer when the user left-clicks on an empty space, which can lead to unintended interruptions, especially when attempting to move an image and accidentally misclicking. To resolve this, it might be more user-friendly to designate a specific tool for opening images and PDFs, rather than relying on the left-click function in an empty space.

20. Writing disappearing

    With GoodNotes 6 the writing keeps disappearing after you have finished, this is extremely frustrating and wasn’t an issue in GoodNotes 5
