At this Time (11/2024) there is no backup or sync function in Goodnotes for Android version 175421-rc2.

This makes it much less complicated to manage and you know exactly where to find your backup without having to pay for an additional cloud solution.

A great option would be if the Auto Backup could also backup to a NAS, NextCloud, Mega, OwnCloud, Samba File Share (Network Share) etc.

Nextcloud-Sync is absolutely necessary!

I think many people use Nextcloud also private as a alternitve to Google and Dropbox. I would be really happy if we have a option maybe to backup to a webdav Server.

This is critical now that Apple is weaponizing our devices to surveil us for the government. At bare minimum we need a big tech alternative for backups other than the current Dropbox, Microsoft and Google options.

For sync, NextCloud, some sort of WebDAV sync, or a GoodNotes cloud with E2EE will be the only way I can continue using GoodNotes in the long run. I’m abandoning iCloud entirely and I expect many others are as well. I would be excited to pay for a GoodNotes cloud by the way.
