FREE ROTATE ON PAGES!!!!

Moving the physical iPad from side to side is NOT efficient. Being able to freely rotate a page to write at an angle would be SO much more helpful, when taking notes, doodling, or simply to look at the notes from a different angle.... I really would love to see this implimented as this is the biggest flaw goodnotes has as a program!

Yesss pleeeeaaase! Like the initial comment said, this is more about writing fatigue of being stuck with one angle (such as using our tablet in bed and taking notes).

This hasn’t been addressed yet. Hoping GoodNote7 will gave this as a feature!

Never mind, I searched a bit more and the recent update around 4/17/2025 multi-select option for pages resolves this problem. Thanks!

I often import pdfs into Goodnotes. I do this for readings, which are often scanned in horizontally, so I end up rotating the page so that the words are oriented right side up. However, it would be great if I could rotate all pages of the notebook/pdf at once, so that I do not need to rotate each one individually.

I up this. Sometime I just really wanna keep my screen position locked the way it already is in my ipad settings for other apps. Eg. Youtube is awkward to use if the screen is locked in upright position while books is awkward to be read on ipad used in hoizontal position settings of ipad.

Yes, it's a time-consuming, unproductive task. Please fix it asap.

This is also a critical issue for me…this one has me seriously considering using other apps full time. It’s important to me (especially when i am viewing two different apps side by side. If I am reading my Bible on one side and taking notes on the other, I want to be able to angle my page in a way that is comfortable for me to write with-it changing the view that I am reading.

Omg! So much! This is the one complaint I have, I'm left-handed, and being able to angle the page instead of the entire iPad would make it soooo much better!!!

Seriously GoodNote, you do everything else right but you force me back to Zotero because of this one thing. You’d think this feedback would be heard.

I agree I am left handed and have learned to write at an angle - due to right handed desks! I find it very hard to write straight up and down. Alsk when drawing in the app being able to rotate the page is also a great help. Much like procreate.

Since this feedback request has been open for 3 1/2 years, I feel like it would have been implemented by now if they were considering it 🙁 It’s a real shame, it’s one of (if not the) biggest flaws of an otherwise stellar program.

I utilize the app Procreate as an artist professionally and leisurely. It rotates. Which is an essential part of writing, drawing “mark making”.

A rotation of the “canvas, paper, journal“ is critical.

I am loving digital planning via Goodnotes. I greatly enjoy the merging of physical writing and the pros of technology. The first thing we did in school, before you even signed your name, was turn the page, even a smidge. We should not be limited to a locked only platform on a mobile device.

Please feature a rotation option, or please inform me how to do so, if it is something the app is already capable of.

It would be Physically healthier too! I need my wrists to strain as little as possible: my hands/wrists are the essential elements to my livelihood.

I use my laptop to take handwritten notes, this means it's harder to rotate my laptop to write at the perfect angle due to its size. I would like the option to rotate the page is small degrees (not just in 90 degree intervals) by twisting the page with your fingers, just like on drawing apps so I can write on an angle.

I keep trying good notes but I have to stop using it because of this. I’m left handed and it’s really crucial to me to be able to move that canvas around. As an alternative I’m having to use procreate without the better not taking features :(

Agreed, this would be hugely helpful and is my main gripe with goodnotes. Ability to scroll past the bottom of the page and rotate seem really crucial in a note taking app.

One of my uses of Good Notes is to grade student work, that is scanned as pdf's, then imported to Good Notes. Needless to say, rotating pages in a 20 page document one page at a time really feels like a waste of time.
Please add this handy little feature to make life easier.
I would even suggest you be able to select either multiple pages within a document, and then rotate pages, but I would also like to see the possibility to select multiple documents, rotating all pages in all of the documents at the same time. That would really be handy.

This feature is so crucial to me and I am looking for an app which has this feature.
This is the only reason I am not able to use GoodNotes is because I am habitual to write at certain angle and I can not rotate the ipad on my desk to get the desired angle.
Another app does this but would having this feature in GoodNotes will make me switch.
