Selective eraser
Selective erase, just like the lasso tool. At the moment the only selection available for eraser is “Erase Highlighted Only” but some times i want to delete the text or shape within the highlighted area. Would be nice that we could pick “Erase handwriting only” as well.

otherwise it's NOT possible to change my pencil drawing in one colour to ANOTHER colour or delete it , AS SOON as I've drawn ABOVE it with let's say a DIFFERENT COLOUR or a DIFFERENT coloured Pen / Pencil 🙏🏻🙄✨🖊

and where is "erase only PENCIL" too?
Honestly we need MORE than that, actually..
We need an ADDITIONAL LASSO OPTION..
Instead of only Highlighter,
we need ERASER for:
- Highlighter
- Pen (global)
- Pen ( single colour)
- Pencil ( global)
- Pencil ( single colour)
..and so on..!

it would be very useful in order to quiz myself and write the hidden answers over the tape and then be able to erase them without having to reapply the tape!

Sometimes I write on highlighters or on tape and would like to be able to just erase the pen.

Can we have a pen only erase feature!
Would be super great when I quiz myself on anatomical stuff so i dont have to worry about constantly erasing what I taped over., I just want to erase only what I write on top of the tape not both! -

Maybe a function where you can erase specific pens ex) erase pencil only
Also when you remove tape it removes anything written over it as well :)

I would like to suggest adding an "Erase Pen Only" option to the eraser tool.
Currently, we have useful options like "Erase Highlighter Only" and "Erase Tape Only," but there's no way to erase just pen strokes without affecting other elements. This feature would help users make quick and precise edits without removing highlighters or tapes.
I believe this small addition could significantly improve the user experience for many.

Yes! It’s frustrating that we can erase the highlighter only, but not handwriting only

With the eraser tool, you could also differentiate between pen and pencil erasing, as there is currently only the option for tape or highlighter. For example, if you have marked something in a paragraph with the highlighter and at the same time noted something with the pen on the marked area, then only both can be erased at the same time and not individually

I would like to propose the idea of an eraser only, as I have been using Goodnotes for a very long time, and in the recent update an eraser for only highlights and tape was being added. I found it convenient and easy to use, but I encountered some problems as I could not out my writing without deleting highlights and tape, I found it frustrating and inconvenient as I have to re-highlight or re-tape every time I want to change something, therefore by adding pen only eraser it would solve the problem, and would certainly elevate my experience in using Goodnotes

Add scribble to erase for pen drawings written on top and beneath tape, and add “only erase pen drawings” function to eraser, so we can erase words without removing the tape . Currently we could only repeatedly click “undo” to erase the words.

I regularly highlight my own handwritten notes and don't notice speilling issues until after I have highlighted my handwritting. Currently I cannot erase and correct my mistakes without losing the highlighting and then having to reapply it. This is very annoying. a "Only erase handwritting" option on the eraser would be very useful.

sometimes after highlighting a block and making notes on top, you might write something wrong and want to erase only the word but not the highlighter, but the eraser currently only has a "erase highlight only" option, i wish there were an option to "erase pen only" or to have a layering option (erasing only the top layer upon first time erasing the same area)

I suggest to add feature for eraser tool to erase the pencil only in case I created a sketch and use pen on it, so I will be able to erase the pencil sketch only.
Thank you

In the Lasso tool and in the Erase tool, it would be great if it could separate what is written with a pen and what is written with highlights. if I have a note that is highlighted but I need to edit the text, I can’t erase what I wrote because, it would erase the highlighter also. The same happens when I use the lasso tool. If the handwriting is selected, it will move both the highlighter and the pen text. And sometimes I just want to move the text only.
If there is a separate tool for something, it should also have a separate toggle button in the Lasso and Erase tool panel.

Please change the current erase options system (Erase highlighter/tape only), into this sort of mechanism;
Eraser Style
(Precision/Standard/Stroke...)
Pen-erasible [toggle_switch]
Highlight-erasible ["]
Tape-erasible ["]I had experienced situations so much in which I wanted to erase only pen traces, and perhaps along with other types of traces.
In one instance, I was using tapes to make my own fill-in-the-blank questions. However, I couldn't dare to write any letter with a pen because you can't just erase them without removing the tapes along, and it is really frustrating.
At other times, I had to struggle erasing pen marks overlapped with highlights, so I would really appreciate it if this system gets an upgrade, and please as soon as possible. -

The eraser tool has an option to erase only the marker. It would be interesting if you could choose to delete only the text written with the pen tool
