[Toolbar] Hide Toolbar / Reduce Toolbar Space
It would be a lot more useful to make more writing space and less distractions if the tab and document bar would be hidden while writing, I only need the tools bar, not the other bar, it only occupies useful space.

I think there should be a smaller version of the tool bar that doesnāt take much space in screen
dynamic option will be a great addition because it allow us to customize the tool bar however we want for example making it smaller, auto hide feature (like the one in notes app in iPad). -

The tools bar takes too much space. I think it will be better if I can hind the bar which I circled in red.

I use GoodNotes 4 on my iPad mini 4 and love it. GoodNotes 5 however has this HUGE toolbar that gets even taller when there are open tabs, wasting a lot of my valuable screen-space. It takes up a solid inch of my 6.25 inch display. If it could collapse or otherwise be made closer to the height of the GoodNotes 4 bar (~5/8 in) it would remove one of my major blockers of adopting GoodNotes 5

The toolbar and the bar above that shows the title of documents take a lot of space. It becomes a little frustrating especially when Iām writing in split screen, because itās very thick and takes much more space than needed.
It would be great if you could optimise the size of the bar and save some space to make the best writing experience. -

It would be great if we could hide the menu bar while writing. Similarly to how it hides when the writing mode is off.

The dark blue colour menubar at the top of the app is:
(a) irritating
(b) takes up a lot of spacePlease add an option to hide it.

Even after hiding the status bar, GoodNotes still consumes screen real estate. Let's add an option to hide the navigation bar with the gallery and search and share button. It's not very useful most of the time while working on one document.
Likewise, hiding the editing toolbar gains space but then editing is turned off. The toolbar could simply fold itself into one button in the top right corner so that the user can focus on the document and the text they are writing and get it back when they need it by tapping the screen or using a touch gesture.

Every little space on the screen is important on 9 inch screens.

The toolbar and tabs are taking quite a bit of the space. It would be great if it can be reduced in size OR disappear temporarily when we write OR create a button to toggle it on and off,

The biggest problem I have with the current version is that the navigation bar can not be hided. For older ipads, especially for 9 inch display ones, every bit of screen space counts, and the nav bar really takes too much space. So it would be really nice to allow users hide the nav bar while keep pen tool bar on display, just like hiding the nav bar when the pen tool bar is not open.

Looking at the menu bar(s) in GN5, it looks like it could be reduced a lot to the idea of fewer icons and sorted better. The search icon could easily be embedded into the page thumbnails pop up as well as the bookmarks feature. The photo camera and text box add buttons could be deleted since they already exist in the ā+ā icon. Then it could be a cool space saver to do a tap and hold-release to show and select the line weights and/or colors for the tools so you just really show the tools themselves.
The features added in v5 are awesome but the interface is a bit crowded which as they said reduces the write surface area considerably.
LITERALLY ANYTHING to bring the writing area up as big as possible!!

Agreed. The menu bar has more than doubled in size and it reduces the size of my documents... especially poopy when you already have bad handwriting, lol! Thereās needless duplication of features like adding photos/text etc, thereās already an āaddā button, hit add and select what youāre adding, clear up that space and get the menu bar back to where it was size-wise!

The writing area in GN5 is actually reduced with respect to 4. I spend 100% of my time writing notes in the same colour, so the always present toolbar is a waste of space. I would like a toolbar which contracts when not used and expands when touched, something like the menubar in OSX. More writing area! At least, make the toolbar more compact

Just as you can select the pen up option, you should be able to hide the nav bar while keeping the pen toolbar.

The new Goodnotes 5 on iOS has 2 toolbars + tabs, which take up a lot of space on a horizontal iPad, and above all it is too distracting. Please create an option to either morph the 2 toolbars into one or to hide one automatically (probably the top one).

It would be useful to have the desktop version hide the toolbar when in fullscreen mode with the added option to select the same fro the window menu. the toolbar takes away useful screen real estate. this should eb an easy edit, please consider this, it would make a (good) difference when using the desktop version. Thanks.

In read mode, you can expand the page size to fill the whole screen, we should have the same ability with editing. This could be done by providing the option to minimise the tool bar to one button whilst editing. When you press the button the full tool bar drops down and the page size shrinks.
