Hi! for year's I've tried to use this app and honestly is amazing but that blue bar on top is one of the ugliest thing I've seen, is very distracting and imo makes the app look like 2012.

Also is a bit frustrating to buy a beautiful template or planner just to have the blue monstrosity on screen all the time :( sorry if this sound harsh I've read a lot of people commenting the same online so thought that maybe here could be useful.

I mean, this is THE best app for note taking in my opinion BUT that Ui makes actually want to buy a remarkable or something lol.

1) GoodNotes icon and menu tab color theme (Document Tab color change)
: A theme option that allows changing the background color of the menu tabs, as well as the lined or highlighted UI elements used throughout GoodNotes.

2) Tab color theme feature (Menu tab background color change)
: An option to change the color of GoodNotes tabs. Recently, many devices have switched to OLED displays. OLED panels are particularly vulnerable to blue-toned colors, which can cause image retention or burn-in. While the current blue color scheme of GoodNotes is visually appealing, long-term use increases the risk of image retention.

3) Unified theme settings (Menu Tab background color + Document Tab color all change)
: Please add a theme option in Settings that allows users to change the menu tab colors, GoodNotes icon color, and tab colors all at once.

I believe these theme customization options would improve usability, reduce display fatigue, and better adapt GoodNotes to a wider range of modern devices.

The blue main menu at the top is quite disturbing. Please make it possible to hide it or change color to white/black depending on system light mode.

I would like to KEEP the minimalistic look of the READ ONLY MODE ( w LIGHT GREY toolbar with the option to HIDE it COMPLETELY by a (double-) tap on the document with finger) BUT HAVE THE LAST TOOL ENABELD like PENCIL/ PEN, as well..

Mainly I want to EDIT my Document while in FULL SCREEN MODE without DISTRACTIONS!
The blue bar is soo unnecessary when in deep writing mode and talkes wayyy too much space and whose COLOUR is NOT CUSTOMIZABLE, AT ALL sadly still!!
WHY this HARD BLUE, all the time?!

I’m currently using the iPad Pro M4 13-inch model, which features a tandem OLED display. Because of this display type, I’m quite concerned about potential burn-in, especially since the top bar and toolbar in GoodNotes are currently blue and remain static for long periods.

I noticed that a toolbar customization feature was recently added, and I was wondering if it would be possible to include an option to change the toolbar color as well. This would really help users who are worried about OLED burn-in.

Same here. I was thinking to switch to Noteshelf for a minimalist workspace because, the goodnotes blue is not all you need and itʼs kind of annoying.

The standard blue color of GoodNotes is fine, but it would be great to be able to customize the color of the toolbar and tabs to your favorite color.

The Good Note UI is designated blue by default, and I want to change the UI with various colors. I hope they add theme features like this.

I would love the ability to customize the aesthetic of the app header. I tend to prefer neutral colors, and there are other apps that allow for color customization.

change the blue color of the main board to different one (of your own choice).
It is a small change, but it would make it more comfortable to look at

I was using Good Notes for a while, it was great. However, I can't stand the blue color of the ribbon in the UI any more (it's the same for me as with the OneNote, I can't stand their purple color). The white and blue UI in the reading mode is alright, however in the writing mode it becomes very annoying. Could you add an option in the settings to change the color scheme to white and gray (or some smooth black), at least make an option to preserve the reading mode scheme all the time even in the editing mode. Also, as we are talking UI, could you optimize the tool panel, as well, with a floating movable circle, expanding it to an oval with the tool icons.

Maybe you can do an newer modern design for the Toolbar because it looks a little bit old. Maybe you can do a smaller minimalistic design because the Toolbar is a bit big and it take much space so if you do the Toolbar a bit smaller or minimalistic you can use more space to write.

Really not a fan of the blue at the top, i find it super distracting, something more neutral/options for colour settings would be great

Some creative background for the toolbar

The upper toolbar, where we the share-button or the undo-button are sadly is in a dark grey colour. I would wish that the customer can choose an arbitrary colour or even theme for this upper toolbar. For example OneNote is purple and in Notability the theme of the background and the toolbar can be changed.

I wish I could change the color of the file on the main screen to something other than blue. It would be cool to change the color I chose myself. It's time to distinguish between all files....

1. default paper color
At the moment we can choose one of two: white or strong yellow.
In my opinion, the yellow one is too strong - of course, this is just my opinion, but adding the possibility to choose a paper with a slightly less yellow color would be something great.
I think the way to have a cool yellow color is in Notability. There yellow seems to be nicer - better perceived by the eye.

2. color of the application bar.
Right now we have something like light navy blue - it's a bit sad and a very office color.
Could you consider adding the ability for users to change this color?

I know these are, frankly, minor things, but adding the ability to change them could improve the look of the app.
