Add Tape Tool
Tape…Notability just published an update to allow something like white out tape that can be tapped to make transparent and then tapped again to ”reapply.”
Teaching implications of such a tool are obvious and awesome.
Please give us such a feature.
[Tape Tool is available on Apple, Android, Windows, and Web]
Hello,
Thank you so much for sharing your suggestions! Tape Tool is already available for all Goodnotes users on Apple, Android, Windows, and Web.
The Tape Tool is a great way to study using active recall. It allows you to hide and reveal information in your notebooks with a single tap.
For more details, please check out this article.
Feel free to share your feedback and let us know how the feature works for you! If you’re already actively using this tool and have new suggestions, please submit them through the ideas portal.
Thank you for your contribution!

I confirm, it is hidden on iPad too, just found out. Connect a physical keyboard to the iPad and press „A“-Key, the tape tool will appear.
Couple of screenshot of how it looks like are below: -

tape exists (but is hidden?) on the mac app. press the A key for it. of course most people use the tablet app, which I don't think it is present on yet, but given it exists already on one platform I'm sure it will be added soon.

Please make the tape function that is already available for Notability users possible for Goodreads. As it is already implemented for the Notability users I don’t understand why Goodreads takes so long to make it happen.

Please please please release this Goodnotes!! Notability already does it so it can’t be that hard to just make it possible

100% agreed. we need this. it would make so many lives easier... no more flashcards for covering anatomically labeled image.... please, let them see this!🤞

adding the tool that enabled you to cover parts of text or just page in general and then reveal what is below just by clicking on it... basically tape feature like in other note-taking apps
so useful for revising, especially in med, bio, pharm ... and other fields of knowledge -

i would be delighted if you added this feature... the principle is so simple but it makes such big of a difference when revising. i am considering switching to other note taking app just because this one is missing. would be grafeful if it were considered in the near future 🤞🤞🤞

This feature would make it significantly easier to study off of my notes instead of having to make or use another flashcard service!

This feature is used by Notability app. I’ve seen that some of people already mentioned this idea, but they had a really small amount of votes. This tool allows to cover a part of text or a note in order to test yourself. This feature is similar to the “cloze” flashcard in Anki and I think that it would be a perfect solution for students that like to learn from their notes

Similar to the tape tool on notability, like the pen tool, you can draw a shape or write words but the written stuff can be clicked to reveal the pdf or page underneath! Very useful for active recall and quizzing, I am sure many others would love a feature like it!

tape that can be tapped to make transparent and then tapped again to ”reapply.” it would be absolutely great for students and time saving instead of having to waste time making flash cards and study cards! Just like in notability noteful! Thank you!!
