turn off snap feature on lasso tool
Please add an on/off toggle on the snap to object feature of the lasso tool. I want to be able to move selected objects smoothly to wherever I want not just snap it to other objects or the space around those objects. It is super annoying to use a lot of the times I have to completely delete a piece of writing and rewrite it where I want because moving it to the correct spot bcecomes a nightmare!!!

Hi there! Thanks so much for the detailed feedback — we totally hear you on how frustrating unwanted snapping can be when you're trying to place things precisely.
Good news: you can turn this off right now! The Object Alignment feature has a setting that lets you disable it — head to Settings and toggle off "align to object" or "align to grid", and your selections will move freely without snapping to other objects or guides.
We also know this experience isn't perfect yet for everyone, and our product team is actively working on improvements to make the snapping behavior smarter and less intrusive.
