Search tool in text documents
At the moment there is no search tool in text documents. I don’t understand this decision at all. Being able to search within a text document is absolutely crucial.

ignore the < Disable "Erase Highlighter Only"? > popup
Every time I erase something with "Erase Highlighter Only" enabled, I get a popup asking if I want to disable the setting. When I hit "ignore," the popup goes away, but then it comes back the next time I erase something! I do, in fact, sometimes want to erase highlighter only. The "ignore" button should prevent the popup from happening at all, maybe until the next time I change the setting

Put Undo back in split screen Top Bar or allow adding to Toolbar
The June 2026 update removed Undo and Redo from the Top Bar of GoodNotes 5 when in split screen. I use Undo constantly when taking notes. The option to customize the toolbar is disabled for me, so I can’t add Undo to the toolbar either.
Please add Undo back to the top bar when running in split screen, or allow customizing the toolbar so that I can add it there.

About text range selection
I want you to return it so that "Select" and "Select All" can be selected immediately when surrounding the text. It used to be possible, but now it's inconvenient because it can't be done. I look forward to working with you.

Apple Pencil Pro
When using the Squeeze feature on Apple Pencil Pro, adding a feature that lets you “scroll” through your saved preset colors the same way we can scroll through the tools would be useful, instead of only having access to the first 3 colors.

사진을 올릴때 그냥 큰 이미지를 바로 올리는 것이 아닌, 모달(팝업) 형태로도 올릴 수 있게 해주세요.
링크추가 기능을 사용할때 나오는 오브젝트 같은걸 클릭하면 등록한 이미지가 모달(팝업)의 형태로 나오도록 구현하고, 빈공간이나 x표시를 누르면 모달이 사라지도록 구현하면 좋을 것 같아요.
그러면 많은 개념들을 정리할때 큰 이미지나 다양한 이미지를 하나의 페이지에 깔끔하게 정리할 수 있을 것 같아요.

[Apple Pencil Pro (squeeze) palette] Support toolbar customization
We all use different tools more frequently, and the new squeeze-to-display-palette with the Apple Pencil Pro is fantastic, but it isn't reflecting the new customized order we make in the top toolbar. And of course it should, it seems to me.

Perspective correction tool for photos/pictures
As a medical student I often take photos of lecture slides from various angles, currently cropping these images results in distorted or skewed perspectives, leaving me with “uncroppable” parts.
I would love to see a feature similiar to the Notes app in IOS when scanning a document, it would help me make better notes for me.

Making the toolbar floating and removing the option for a fixed version seriously hurts the user experience. Students like us spend hours taking notes and need focus, but the toolbar constantly moves, sometimes overlaps our work, and it slows us down.
There’s a simple solution that makes everyone happy:
• Floating toolbar
• Fixed (classic) toolbarLet users choose what works for them. It’s really that simple.
Please add a “Classic Toolbar Mode.” This change would make a huge difference for many users.

Please improve Goodnotes's handwriting recognition for Chinese and other languages
Handwriting recognition function is quite important and attractive for new users, However, the app can't really recognise my Chinese handwriting even though I write in a relatively clear way. Please imporve your recognition features for Chinese as well as other languages

Add a wavy/squiggly line option to the Shape Tool
I would love to have a feature that allows us to draw wavy lines (squiggly lines) automatically using the Shape tool. Currently, drawing them by hand looks messy, and using text boxes or stickers is inconvenient. It would be extremely helpful for underlining and emphasizing key points while taking notes. Thank you!

Bring back the keyboard button for adding text to a page instead of hiding it in the context menu under "start typing"
Please bring back the keyboard-button you can see on the screenshot. I know there are the new text documents, but especially in school context it is necessary to have the ability to add text to the whole page in a notebook easily.
