Notes bar when importing PDF
I would like to have an option of, when importing a PDF, adding a sidebar to write my notes on the documents I am reading. Writing over them is good but sometimes a sidebar would make it easier and more organized

Cornell template without lines
Similar to what is mentioned here: https://feedback.goodnotes.com/forums/191274-customer-suggestions-for-goodnotes/suggestions/41779732-cornell-page-setting-without-line
I'd like a Cornell note taking template without lines and that is more space efficient. The dimension for the Title seems a bit too large and unecessary for instance.
Most importantly, we should have the opportunity to change the paper template such that we can choose dotted or blank paper. This feature is no longer available on Goodnotes (but appears to have been previously).2 votes -
Work on PC
Even if not full version, being able to access and view your notes on PC would be great.

Convert handwriting straight to text box
I'd like to be able to select some handwriting, "right-click" to convert the text, and be able to directly make a text box which contains that text from the "convert to text" window.
Currently, I need to convert to text, copy, go make a text box, then paste into that box.
I think it would be a nice little time saver.

Allow people to add margins on imported PDFs
One of my favorite ways to use GoodNotes is to import documents and annotate them on the app. However, I think the experience would be a thousand times better if we could have the option to expand the margins because oftentimes the original pdf doesn't have enough space to write notes and/or insert images for reference.

大家都知道如果想关闭工具栏的弹窗只能直接在别的地方写。而对于想在弹窗处写字，不能在空白处（在空白处点击会留下墨迹，希望得到优化）或再次点击工具栏的图标来关闭。这样的操作真的非常反人类。

Changing the width of the lines afterwards
after I have quickly noted and scribbled something I would like to order some stuff afterwards, sort and make it more readable. For example, write headings thicker. Currently I have to erase what I wrote, choose a thicker pen and write again. It would be cool to be able to change the width of the lines afterwards.

Scrolling direction options
Currently if we choose vertical or horizontal scrolling it applies to all the documents, it would be good if we can choose to apply it to all documents or just the current document. For eg, I prefer vertical scrolling for my worksheets/slides from school and horizontal scrolling for my own notes (so it's really like a notebook).

Color Picker while using Zoom Window
When writing notes with Zoom Window, it would be comfortable to have the color picker on the grey line of the zoom window, next to the indentation keys. This way when writing, we can quickly pick our colors instead of having to move our pencil all the way to the top of the screen. When I'm writing definitions, after every term I have to change color and it is time consuming and tiring to go so far away. It would be way more efficient and convenient to have the color picker appear closer to the zoom window for faster access.

Adding An Opacity palette in highlighter feature along with Straight end instead of Rounded globular end would be a cool Idea.
Goodnotes highlighter palette sucks at opacity. It's like using a highlighter that is screaming in pain and is about to die out lol. I would have to rehighlight the entire line 5-6 times just to get my desired level of opacity and that really sucks as it causes distraction in flow while reading.
About sharp straight end what I mean is to add a feature like OneNote. DEAR GN , REAL HIGHLIGHTERS HAVE SHARP ENDS NOT ROUNDED GLOBULAR ENDS. Please change these two features 🙏

Allow us to save words (learn spelling) - useful for technical vocabulary so that it converts properly from handwriting

Improving the speed of turning books. Just like when I hold a real book, I can turn 100 pages at a time easily.

Ability to add PDFs on Mac to GoodNotes by sharing (using the share sheet) from Safari or Preview app
Craft, a Catalyst app, supports this. So does Books (Save to Books), etc.

I really like to have an easy way on iPad/iPhone and soon Mac (seeing Shortcuts coming) to create a task in a preferred To-Do app (like Things or so)

Auto text size according to the page template(for writing with keyboard)
A huge disadvantage that I find in GoodNotes that while i use the "Ruled Narrow" page template while using my iPad keyboard, the text isn't always matched with the lines in the page template.
The best things will be if the application will automatically determine the size of the text so the user who uses keyboard will be able to write exactly between the lines in the page template.
Obviously, while writing text the app should also support the auto counting as it is in all the other applications.(wether Microsoft Word or Notability)
With the current situation in the app,…

Condensed tabs
Instead of having to scroll through different tabs for notes when several of them are open, they should condense and all stay on the screen for easier access (similar to how google chrome tabs do)

Add colours to presets for text boxes
It will be much more convenient if Goodnotes allows users to add personal colours to the presets section for text boxes. This feature is available for highlights and handwritings but not the text boxes!! :(
